- A half-day loop hike into the narrows of Upper Eardley Canyon from Cliff Dweller Flat. The approach options have some moderate scrambling. The sandstone layer is Cedar Mesa - I incorrectly said Navajo in the narration.

This is a delightful hike. I've done it a number of times, taking the Hyde Draw road to the end, this route maybe the same entry point as the eastern most Cliff Dweller Flat route, except starting lower down. Thanks Richard.

I should have found out about this when I was younger.
Love the video! Thanks for posting these. This section of Eardley Canyon is cut through the Permian Cedar Mesa Formation, not the Jurassic Navajo. This is the same formation that Baptist Draw and Music Canyons are in.
Thank you for watching Riley and thank you for correcting my geology. I think I realised that mistake in September when going through Southern Baptist / Upper Chute canyon, thinking it was likely the same formation as Upper Eardley, and initially thinking it was Navajo but then noted the rock character was slightly different - explored online afterwards and found it to be Cedar Mesa - too late to correct my Upper Eardley movie narration.
