I just love how this game united the two factions of the console war in a shared agreement that Super Earth needs all the soldiers it can get.

Satire aside its amazing how Helldivers has technically ended so much childish bickering amd brought GAMERS together.
This game is some matrix error.
It arive from nowere and take over gaming scene. Then showed to gamers how not gameplay systems should work(not be cashgrab), and then unite every side of community.

@FifingFossil its simple. It's a game where the very gameplay itself makes players feel like they are a part of a larger community. It's a-political and the wonky physics and friendly fire make for excellent yt clips.

@@FifingFossil it’s a very simple answer but it’s one that not a lot of people like to hear. Helldivers Devs refuse to take any part in modern politics and refuse to allow any sort of competitive aspect in the game. They outright banned anyone that demanded LGBT stuff in the game because those people are cancers to any fanbase. You can imagine your Helldiver as whatever you want but they won’t forcibly plaster it on any part of the game. It’s a game about fighting aliens while working for a fascist government, it doesn’t need anything else. They stone walled people trying to bring modern politics into the game or wrap them into it on social media.
It’s a game for fun and nothing else, and they don’t want it to be anything else. Which is rare these days. A game designed purely to be fun, it makes no grand statement, it takes no high horse.

@@Automaton-RK5 A Vanguard of an entire army of already highly trained Helljumpers that are veterans of multiple galactic scale conflicts. Bots and bugs should be very, very afraid. Even the vanguard is something to fear. I've been on the battlefield a mere 40 hours, but thousands of bots have already been scrapped by my guns. Unfortunately for you Automatons, that was the warm up. I haven't started trying yet.

Imagine with me. The game has been out a year. Joel has unleashed the largest invasion we have ever seen planets and sectors are falling by the literal hour. Earth is being directly invaded by bugs and machines as the illuminate close in. By all accounts it seems the player base has failed to beat the game.Then…an order is given. An announcement goes out that a long lost expeditionary force is returning with reinforcements… arrival 24 hours. A last ditch defense is mounted to hold out till this force arrives. The timer ticks down and boom 0 hour. Helldivers launches on Xbox and together we save earth.

Veteran of the Battle for New Mombasa and survivor of the fall of Reach. Pushed back the Locust hordes and shattered the Lambent advances. And as of right now, a level 22 Chief Helldiver who has cut his teeth killing bugs just after the bots were driven out of the system as vengeance for Malevalon Creek, and was boots on the ground the day the bots came back to decommission some Automatons. I'm lucky to have both an Xbox and a computer that can handle the game as smoothly as it does. So, I came out of my peaceful, well earned retirement from the battlefield and re-enlisted to fight one more time. I'll give our enemies a taste of what a veteran ODST and practiced Gear soldier is capable of. I may not have been on this particular field as long as all of you, but 5k bots and bugs have already learned that my experience far outweighs the time my record shows. See you on the battlefield Helldivers. Your reinforcements are on their way.

SES Prophet of Destruction here. I saw so many people who struggled against the automatons and especially the bugs. Just look at how devastated the bug front was for weeks. Now I, an ODST who faced the covenant, the flood, the forerunners and the banished don't have that many problems. Of course, every fight is tough but I struggle far less than some others. I say we really REALLY need the other Spartans and ODST's to join this fight. To finish it. I salute to every ODST out there who is either forced to standby or are already fulfilling their duty. Don't give up. Fight. And for the ones on standby: Train. Prepare yourselves for the day you will finally be able to join and finish this fight!

Xbox, PS4-PS5's, and PC players all working or coming together in one mission of managed democracy and liberation of the galaxy. We need the Xbox players ASAP. We may be winning against the robots, but we still need support on the terminid side of the galaxy. Hell we still gotta worry about the Illuminids arriving and causing hell upon our troops in battle.
Edit: As a EX-Xbox player I can happily say that we Xbox users love the support we get. And I will welcome my old brothers in arms and lead them into battle with honor and glory to SUPER EARTH.

I was an old legendary halo veteran, even a LASO one at some point (Infinite, yeah, I know, the easiest, but still), but I switched to pc a few years ago, leaving playstation.
I answered the soldier's bell, and awaits eagerly the reinforcements from my old fellows, Spartans and Helljumpers. Even calls the divers helljumpers out of habits.
