Thanks for the great compliments about Team Trollgod's efforts to create new cool things! We are reaaly pleased with how many of you have embraced our Cthuhu Crisis Kickstarter!
I'd have loved to have got in on some Monsters Monsters! and Humans Humans! books but the shipping costs were too high for me. Will definitely pick both up if you do a POD via drivethru' for them.
@@RandomEncounterShow hmm…well, the ones that stand out…They Live, Big Trouble, Prince of Darkness and In The Mouth of Madness. But, on a desert island it would have to be The Thing. You?
Always love the longer vids, informal chatting, and the face-to-face style rather than other youtuber weird hands over-compensating with exagerrated gestures due to not showing their faces! 😁
John Carpenter has done some great films... The Thing and Halloween are absolute classics and arguably the best in their sub-genres. Then he can go and just pull a Big Trouble in Little China or a They Live out of his ass too. Awesome director, writer, composer.
That's wild about the spider, I was just outside checking on the stray mom cat and her kittens in the rain and was going to take an old cooler and make a bedding box for her to hide out and I looked into it and there was the biggest Brown Recluse spider I've ever seen sitting on the side with a huge crane fly in its mouth. Lol Nooooooo Sorry Miss Cat I can't get you a bed for your babies because of the giant monster spider!! Anyway, I didn't get a alert for this show until today. Sounds like things are going well.
1. Agree with you on videogames. Just let me play! 2. Those Space Invaders dice are awesome and I'm tracking some down. 3. Warhammer to me will always be WHB 2nd edition and WFRP 1st edition. The ultimate 40k release will always be Rogue Trader whichever edition that was (first?) 4. My brother and I just rewatched They Live recently. And The Thing is one of my all time top movies
Apparently one of my long comments vanished when my stupid tablet screwed up , but that skull dice was cool. Reminded me of the movie, Mystery Men and The Bowler, with the flying haunted bowling ball with her dads skull inside of it. Lol I don't buy a lot.of dice but the oracle type dice I do like, there has been a few different sets that are pretty cool for determining things as you go for solo rpg that I think would work good for me. Not like I will likely play much of the plethora of independent little rpg game books that are available now, but there are some interesting ones that I'm trying to get time to go look up and order.
Chessex makes a few, traps, dungeons ect. I still have the flying buffalo inc. Adventure Dice set that had I think 7 dice that covered pretty much everything from doors to npc reactions lol.
Sorry I keep commenting, but ya keep mentioning stuff I want to remark on. Lol ya mention your battle jacket and custom painting them, that's funny as I had a denim jacket with the entire back I painted Dead Kennedy's DK symbol with some Megadeth side panels and I sewed old denim fringe all down the sleeves. I sewed all kinds of patches and pins n things on it. I was looking for it awhile back as I swear I still had it, but I think I gave it to my friend for a wall hanging art piece. My main TV quit working because of a power supply little wire cracked and I have to take it apart and resolder it and I haven't had the work table space to lay the tv out so I haven't really watched any streaming stuff movies for months. Lol Nothing of value was lost, as they say. Yeah, I need to look for a couple different movies that I actually would care to watch every three years. I just recall movies so well that I just am not interested in watching stuff often. The painting stuff is interesting to me, as I always want to learn more about figures painting, although I just want to have a few kinda universal characters minis to use for different games, but I'd still like to be able to paint them the best I could. I used to do vehicle modeling and like Robotech models, but its been really long time since I did that stuff. Its one thing to paint a model plane or car, and entirely another to try and do a miniature person figure to make it look realistic. I was looking at maybe getting Rogue Dungeon 3rd printing, its a small-scale solo dungeon board/card game, but idk, its not that expensive but I don't know if I'd really take time to play it. I've got to be realistic about how much I'm really going to play stuff. Lol the way my brain is nowadays I'd rather just sit and look out the window watching the birds and animals roaming around the yard at the feeders, and just have no stress thoughts..no work thinking, I just want like neutral blank gear brain. Lol
No worries, love to hear from ya! To the painting my advice might sound strange but give it a thought while watching the critters! Buy the nicer stuff and use it for all your games, like you said universal miniatures. This way you have stuff you absolutely love to use on the table for just about everything. Plus it makes a way easier job of it when the miniatures are cast with great detailing that is easy to see and hit with a brush. Darksword Miniatures makes the best I have ever seen, Reaper has some great minis as well, plus their bones line is fairly cheap. You can normally find Reaper Bones lots on ebay for less than $1 each shipped, may have to strip them down from old paint jobs though.
BTW, concerning fantasy Warhammer. I had no interest in Age of Sigmar. I have an entire army of Dark Elves, just about every model they ever made for 4th, and a few others, even some kit bashed ones. Age of Sigmar just looked bad IMO. I am happy they are bringing back Old World.
You've got a serious hideout there, have a secret hidden lair room that your wife can't even find! Man, ive got a ton of gaming projects i'm not getting done. I just got in the new Fortune n Glory and its stil!.shrink wrapped! I bought the Forgotten Realms old box set of Realms of Undermountain, I don't know why I thought I needed to spend a load of money having it shipped from England. Lol But damn the maps just got me man.I love me some amazing big ass maps. Its in pretty great shape.. Fifty pounds of cats for $1.00!! The weight loss during doomsday was pretty funny. For real though, we better get as much pizza and quality junk food as we can before the collapse of civilization! Lol Eat up!
Im a sucker for the maps too! Yeah this little room I actually found after buying the house. It had been a utility room aka laundry room at some point. They added on the house and built a large bath and thats where the washing machine and dryer are now. Guess they decided this room was unneeded so closed it off with dry wall. I put a door in and even ran a vent for the cental heat and air and now live in here 🤣

Well how many you want?!

An excellent video, and an hour well spent!
Hanging out in the shop, everyone getting their share of primer fumes and diet coke!
Keep up the good work I like your videos. You have shown e that there are a lot of cool new RPG books. You can film anywhere you want.
Thanks!
I've been waiting this whole time for a giant spider to come from screen left and land on DS5's face
You weren't the only one!
Found your channel a couple of days ago, subscribed, great stuff man keep it up.
Glad to have you!
You are always entertaining when you are on the camera. Keep up all the great work.
I just wish I didn't become an idiot when the camera is on!
I like those 'circuit' dice, very groovy. Anyone know where to get 'em/what to search for online?
I'll ask John where they came from.
The real encounter was the wolf spider!
Still havent found it, hours later!
