If you are using a 4G hotspot then you are not testing the 4G of the radio. Its just connecting via WiFi. To test the 4G of the radio, you need to put the SIM card in the radio device and let it connect itself.
yes, it is obviusly on picture. Radio is connected to WiFi What does he test so? how it works with WiFi. Doesn't metter so if it would be 3-2-1 or even 0.5G Radio
I see Midland have an app out now as well as Zello. Not a fan of internet Radio but it's giving another opening for the radio hobbiest. Thanks for sharing Lewis
Waterproof? I was wondering if you have seen any fixed mounted network radios just like this one which are waterproof? I'd love to buy some for our dive boats here in Mexico so we can easily chat about logistics and other non essential information that we at the moment discuss with difficulty via What's App. Thanks so much for all your videos, I have binged watched loads of them over the last week since discovering all this network radio stuff.
@@RingwayManchester Fair enough. Thanks so much for getting back to me. I think I'm going to look at some of the waterproof handhelds for now then. If you are ever in Mexico and want to see how we are using these radios give me a shout.
Hi there I hope one of you guys can help me, i have the 4g version of this radio and have a power supply, what do i do with the blue wire as the power supply only uses the live and neutral. And where would i find a user manual to download for this radio. Many thanks in advance, a newbie radio guy.
What pisses me off when people ask for a radio check or how is my microphone sounding (like the other guy did) and this guy flip flops around and says it "sounds reasonable" and then it sounds "good",and later "very good". "Reasonable" and "good" and "very good" are totally different descriptors. What is even worse is that the other guy's microphone/signal actually sounded very good. Next time mate, give an accurate description of what the other party is asking, instead of a blase`, inaccurate, brain-dead response in the first instance.
Nijel Vidler We used to say Radio 5 mate .. of course that was a signal check on CBs.. I don’t suppose there’s much difference between the microphones frequency response today..It’s more likely to be the user’s experience or microphone technique.

What are the network channels you use on Zello
Wish the would provide an external speaker socket jack,,..rear facing speaker seems daft,,extension speaker would be better for trucks etc

I argue that the connotations of “sounds reasonable” and “sounds good” are closer together in British English.
I've seen the price has dropped a little bit over the last six months.
