to be honest my goal is to get 1 atp point, but damn watching this video makes me realise that sounds like an impossible task, Felix is a great player and yet ...
@@justmijnea3562 alcaraz nadal gasquet, they all got their first point around that age. However they were fully trained and prepared to become pro (full time one to one coaching, junior tournaments, etc....). Felix was a very good club player who one day decided to get one atp point.... i am an average club player, and Felix is just showing me the huge gap between club level and entry level atp.
Martyn Pawelski is definitely one of the top 3 prospects for Poland alongside max kasnikowski (former top 20 junior now top 300 atp) and Tomasz Berkieta 16 year old who’s this year made it to junior AO semis and Wimbledon quarterfinals. The fact that felix had a very even match against Martyn is a very good sign and I hope we see you more often in doubles 😊
It's okay to support Felix but there's no benefit in lying to him, the other guy was plain better, played with margin, faced 0 break points, could've won easier with a bit more focus to get the second break, seems he knew Felix wasn't breaking him so he relaxed a bit on Felix's service games after securing the break in the second. It's completely fine to recognize the difference in levels, he lost 6-4 6-4 with no chances to even take a break, he is far from him, he can't train to "capitalize on 30 all" that's not an skill in itself, that's your level of tennis, Felix just needs to continue training and improve his fitness, if he can correct some of his groundstrokes technically he'd so himself a massive favour, and if he is really want to get 1 point he should go to Africa, some arab country, the competition is so small you can secure a couple of points and then he will be able to start tournaments in the main draw instead of qualifying.
Btw, my recommendation to him is to stop letting opportunities get past him as he is 20 and to go to college, where he can still play with very good opposition, have a good coach and development, play Futures and Challengers and if things go well he can go pro, in case it doesn't he can always get a career outside of tennis, but if he is stucked up in the 1000-600s later on time will have passed and he'll have no education and no money, a scary situation.
@@DATennis bro he's making good money on this youtube channel, more than you actually think of. Plus, he most likely comes from a wealthy family otherwise he wouldn't be travelling around Europe constantly losing and spending money on travelling, equipment, accomodations etc etc. It's not cheap going around Europe so it's kind of obvious he has a wealthy background. Also, his family can have a business of somekind and he's able to pursuit his dream of becoming a tennis pro and if it doesn't work out he just can go a be a part of that business easily. However, I do agree with you that most people in the comments lie to him, his level is low. He should start thinking of different approaches in order to improve his level otherwise he will just be stuck on these types of tournaments and frustrating losses.

College is an extremely good option to have a backup career while still having a great chance to become a professional tennis player.
You made him play for it. It only came down to a few key points, and you stayed strong mentally even as you were losing. Even if this was a loss, there’s so much to be proud of
I never understood just how hard professional tennis really was, and how small the margins really were, but you made me understand. You're almost there keep pushing, VAMOS!
you should be extremely proud of your level. You played at his level (500 in the world!), the difference was a few points on your serve and somehow make some inroads on the big servers. But you know that anyway so really just to say a big "well done" :)
i love your drive and grit felix. extremely admirable. thank you for all the content you put out as well! we love tracking along with you on this journey ❤️

Your road to 1 ATP point series has to be one of my most favorite YT series' I have ever watched! Good luck and I can't believe how close you were this time.
Pawelski is no joke. Having won 4 ITF titles already at age 18, the first one at the age of 17, and being top 500 is pretty impressive. He’s very talented and will probably play on the challenger tour full time by 2024, if he finishes the year strongly. Very promising player, and just prior to this tournament he was runner up at the Polish National Championship. Arguably just second to Billy Harris the best player you’ve ever played competitively, and he defo has the potential to have a bette career than Billy for sure
Impressed by how much more smooth and aggressive you are playing the beginnings of recent sets. I'm sure you and Ashley have better data to back it up, but it feels like you're not scrapping back in from early breaks nearly as much in recent matches. Excited to see the journey!
I’ve been watching you for a decent amount of time now Felix and one thing that always stands out to me is you’re mentality, it really encourages me to go out on the courts and play with confidence and not fear. Don’t be disappointed in this loss, take it as a learning opportunity!
Love the look on face when he says go out on court and FIGHT. Tennis is what I turned to when I wanted stay off drugs. But I live in Canada so half season ended up relapsing. I fight every time am on the clay. We get a dome this fall so am happy for year round tennis. But am struggling with balance I can't rely just on tennis.
Keep going Felix. You're doing well. You know that in the end if you are true to yourself, you can't really lose, no matter what the stats say. This is the journey that will forge your spirit and make you a confident man that all ( whether they've seen a tennis ball in their lives or not) will look to wherever you are and in whatever times.
Hey Felix, i would love you for making a detailed video about a gym routine for a tennis player, because ive been searching for such a video and never found it… Love your videos btw 😊
Felix, honestly your growth with your overall techniques, mental fortitude, and overall confidence is at another level compared to last year. Don't be disappointed, it's only a matter of time, and when that mountain has been climbed, there will be nothing but a beautiful view of all your surroundings down below of both where you came from and where chose to go.
