If your talking about the depth, they used a lot and I do mean a lot of rocks to build up the background before planting it. The whole setup of the tank is also on UA-cam
Love the tank but jeez world's largest tank and put only tiny tetras. Add discus and i think that will balance off the tank. I think they will have enough soace to breed aswell with all the plants and hiding spots
This is what was used to make it:40m long2.5m deep1.5m water depth160,000 litre/160t4 tonnes of sand25 tonnes of volcanic rock8 tonnes of aquasoil2 tonnes of wooden branches, including 78 giant pieces of driftwoodMore than 46 species of plant10,000 tropical fish of 40 different species
Mr. Takashi Amano died of pneumonia on August 4. He was still 61 years old. I heard about the news of his death and it is very unfortunate. Rest in peace Mr. Amano.

Breathtakingly beautiful!
Very nice... AMAZING !!!!!!!
This is FANTASTIC!
We miss you Takashi Amano
How do they maintain this?
The open "white sands" need a large school of Corydoras...
That would be an awesome sight...
Was just thinking that, I'd love to see an army of little corys frantically wiggling and sifting through the sand!
Looks great, but I can’t help but think that all that space needs some larger livestock, Discus or Angelfish?
Anyone knows what they used at the back of the aquarium to get that deep sea effect? Love it!
If your talking about the depth, they used a lot and I do mean a lot of rocks to build up the background before planting it. The whole setup of the tank is also on UA-cam
It's simply white fluorescent lamps set on top of a light blue background wall
Amazing !!!
It says temporary exibit when is it going to be taken down?
I don't like the amount of fish in the tank but still love
Now imagine how many budget for co2 light water change you need to maintain this giant
Love the tank but jeez world's largest tank and put only tiny tetras. Add discus and i think that will balance off the tank. I think they will have enough soace to breed aswell with all the plants and hiding spots
I can only imagine the troubles of cleaning and maintaining this masterpiece.
Perfect!
how many fishes are in there? are they gonna breed ?
I don't know 3 neons...
you don't really expect anyone to know how many fish are in there do you
10k fish are in there and i'm sure they will breed in that type pf environment
This is what was used to make it:40m long2.5m deep1.5m water depth160,000 litre/160t4 tonnes of sand25 tonnes of volcanic rock8 tonnes of aquasoil2 tonnes of wooden branches, including 78 giant pieces of driftwoodMore than 46 species of plant10,000 tropical fish of 40 different species
This is where fish go, when they go to heaven.
If I won the lotto, I'd get this in my room.
i also wanna have this aquarium - I love it
