この動画作ってくれてありがとう。ユーチューブで日本の哲学についてなかなか話し合い論じ合わないので感謝です Thank your for making this video. Japanese philosophy is not often talked about and discussed on UA-cam so I'm thankful.
I've read close to 50 hardcore freud, jung, Schopenhauer, kant, hegel, goethe cos of your little animated videos. Thankyou for the motivation. Even though psychology is depressing, reading depressing stuff makes you feel not alone in this world. Thankyou ❤
Hey I just wanted you to know in case you read this comment your video on depression helped get me started on my road to dealing with the worst existential dread and depression I had ever experienced after the worst year of my life. Since watching that video and the one on absurdism it helped me deal with the pain of that year it really turned my life around to they point where I'm not freaking out all the time about the future and finding more perfect moments in everyday life. Part of me thinks those videos helped save me. Just thank you so much please keep up the amazing work
This really speaks to me. I'm having a really hard time finding my way in the world. There's so many things I'm interested in and want to pursue, but actually finding the right path, it's hard work man...
Take it from an older guy…there’s no one right path. The angst of trying to find it is pointless. Just pick a path & see what’s there. You can always change direction later & you’ll undoubtedly learn something.
@@chemquests I did it in a similar way. Was into music, started a band. Turned out having a band is really hard work. I also liked drawing and writing, so I got into art. I succeeded pretty well, did that for about ten years until I figured out it would be really hard to make a living out of it (and it's mentally exhausting to be creative day in, day out). So now I'm busy doing animal care and I feel like this is what I was "meant" to do all along, partly because it was my child's dream to become a veterinarian. I can still play my guitar (to the horror of everyone hearing me play) when I'm bored, I can still be creative and partake in exhibitions or publish a book with my friends' publishing company without the dread of being picked up by a gallery or flopping financially because buys my stuff, I just do them for my pleasure. I also don't have to wonder what would have become of my life if I did choose to do something else, because I actually tried all the things I imagined myself doing for a career. I'm pretty satisfied with how my life is turning out and it's giving me so much peace of mind. For anyone wondering: I'm only 30, so it's not like you can only achieve this by the age of 50 or smth lol
the combination of your soft voice, smooth jazz and the answers other people have found to the questions that haunt me daily and that I thought no one else did is my new remedy. honestly, thank you. greetings from uruguay.
Last night I was thinking about your videos while I came to terms with the fact that I've been going through an existential crisis for at least a whole year now so this video couldn't have been published at a better time :D
If you look at things in a clear mind you will realize that what you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs are all the same thing. If you have a personality, you will be good at something (or have a talent for something) Naturally, you will be rewarded for being good at this thing (whether extrinsically or intrinsically) -unless the people around you were born to spite you- And whether you can be paid for it or not is a matter of creativity, getting to know people and not giving up, getting better 1% every day, you will most certainly find this. -if you have parents you can live with them until like age 23-25 and get better without having to spend so much money, have a temporary job that doesn’t take away much of your time so you can help your parents etc, unless what you are pursuing is the weirdest thing in the world you will be valued for the job experience and all the knowledge you have accumulated it only takes some time - The world will pay for what it needs, the environment will play an i portent role of course, but for most people, you can decide what environment you put yourself in, make it a goal to change your world to one that better appreciates you.

Hello. I love your channel and it’s work. In regards to the sponsor, maybe move it to the end of the video that way it doesn’t interrupt the flow. Maybe say “this video was sponsored by VPN, more on that later” if you have to mention them at the beginning.
1. "Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation." 2. "The probability that a certain person be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person." 3. Well yeah the way Ikigai is framed is almost sort of a critique of the ultra homogenous idea that we all have role to play in society and we must play it but we need to find a passion and a mission and flow. We have to find a state of being that so long as it doesn’t harm the well being of the others around us that allows to reach this presence in our own life and being a salaryman and listening to your boss and your elders most of the time isn’t involved in that.
The pic of The Son of Sam as an example of anti-social gives me pause about what I have been trying to learn about philosophy watching this channel. How many other times have the examples been to an extreme? Anti-social is a whole range of attitudes starting with the basic cause to be social. If someone uses a social occasion, including and most likely a personal, one on one association, to benefit themselves while leaving someone else at a loss, this is being anti-social.
Hello! Thank you for the wonderful content. My favorite video is "THE MOST SAVAGE PHILOSOPHER OF ALL TIME" ua-cam.com/video/d7aWla3cwNg/v-deo.html My favorite part of this video was the music, but I loved the narration as well. The subject material was explained in a very helpful way. Great work. This one deserves multiple views as a chill thing to put on in the background for passive learning and entertainment.
I think this whole concept is dangerous, it gives young people the idea they are supposed to find some deep meaning from the get go instead of focusing on experimentation and being aware.
I disagree with the involvement of the what you can be paid for part in Ikigai, what you can be paid for is essential to sustaining a comfortable level of living but that doesn't help one in the pursuit of meaning in their life, and may actually hinder one's efforts. What one can be paid for is often something that they have little or no passion for and is just a waste of valuable time slaving away for monetary gain, instead of something actually meaningful, and fulfilling to the individual. It should most likely be removed as it doesn't have anything to do with meaning in life, but only chains one to ultimately meaningless busywork to them, when they should be attempting to make the most of their lives and time that they'll never have back.
I hate how much I love the idea of boiling down the whole ass purpose of my life into a Venn diagram
Considering the fact that many of us are just numbers, I consider a venn diagram an upgrade.
