That run of Immortal Iron Fist comics by Brubaker/Fraction with David Aja's stellar artwork is easily one my all-time favorite comic book runs, along with Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four. If you are interested in Iron Fist, even in the slightest, then this is an absolute must. Tons of really cool lore, including stuff that was clumsily alluded to in the Netflix show.

What Happened to everyone who became Iron Fist: They were hunted down by the servants of Ch'l-Lin and murdered on their 33rd birthday with the exception of Orson Randall who got addicted to smack to dull his chi and Danny who defeated Ch'l-Lin with his friends.
Iron fist was never a good comic book.. That's why it canceled after a few issues and they had to tag team him with Luke Cage to keep him from comic book death... He's one of the worse marvel characters ever created and is still super stupid with some rich idiot that's given the special powers... Horrible origin story, horrible character creation, horrible character build up.. Garbage character used black character to make better.. Just another show of how history really works.. Racist and weak
Should make a new show/cartoon where each season tells the story of a different Iron Fist until we come to Danny.

Maybe I haven't seen enough of Shang-Chi, but the Iron-Fist seams so much better to me with the little I know of them!
