Thank you so much for the clear instructions ... this has been the best video ... speaking slowly and clearly and giving excellent tips! Appreciate your help!
I have watched LOTS of craft videos since starting out a little while ago but this has to be the best one I have watched. It's clear and full of tips. Thank you so much for helping this crafter out! I have subscribed and saved this video. Thanks again!

Thank you so very much! I found you within minutes of searching for how to apply adhesive to the Bird Ballad lace cards. You represent the internet at its most joyful and helpful. All the best to you.
Sheila Owen Thanks so much for your kind words, Sheila! I’m delighted the video tips were helpful. Do let me know how they work for you and if I can be of further help❤️
Thank you for this tip! I am new to this art and have been pulling out my hair trying to find the best way to adhere the intricate dies. Such a good tip, I really appreciate it!
I love how you explain how you work: simple and no chit-chat. A tip for you: Connie Stewart who's another SU! demo uses the sponge like you do but keep hers in a little plastic container. I started doing that too and I realized that I get more than 2-3 uses before cutting off the tip. Nicole from Canada
Thanks for the tip Nicole! I used to keep it in a little plastic container, but found it still dried and didn't make much difference. I'll have to give it another try, maybe with a different container. I love Connie... she's awesome! Appreciate your taking time to reach out- thank you so much!
It really does- but even more hassle and money! I’ve tried lots of methods and still use this one 95% of the time. Enjoy Amanda... and merry Christmas!🎄 Love hearing from you❤️
Thanks for reminding me of how special our silicone mat is and how to make a sticky situation a little simpler and less messy. You are so easy to listen to and very clear. I do use my embossing buddy for sticky tidy up but sometimes I use glitter, depends on the type of card, it adds just a touch of sparkle. Thanks for sharing 🙏💕🤗🇦🇺
@@StampinSavvy - That is so true. It was a feel good through and through laugh. Thank you for that, young lady. I like your channel so much that I am one of your new subscribers. Thank you for your good ideas, creations, and for being so sweet on your videos. 💕
thank you soooooooo much for posting this video. have to confess that my silicone craft sheet has been neglected for months in some corner of my craft room but now . . . NOW it is going to appear front and center while i CASE this card you have made. and i won't let it be neglected in the future. THANKS!!! jo ann.
This is a tip around for along long time started on HSN an English lady used the glue on back of her hand people then stated using a silicone mat because it was easier to clean and neater
I take my little pieces of sponge to the sink....before the glue dries and wash out the sponge and allow it to completely dry before using again....and if you find your sponge getting stiff just work your sponge between your fingers to make it soft again.
Linda McDonald Yay! I’m delighted to hear that, Linda❤️ Have fun! I also have a video tutorial on using the Silicone Craft Sheet for stamping mirror (reverse) images... it’s a great little tool😊
Oh my! Thank you so much! I just wish I’d found this at Christmas! All those beautiful fine snowflakes etc were such a pain and those glue pens seem to dry up so very quickly! Thanks from Northern Portugal! 💗💖💗
I have found that if your glue is still wet on your sponge that you can wash it and will not have to cut or through your sponge away. Saving even more money
Hi Robin! Spray adhesive can have its place in our craft room, but because of the expense and mess, I don’t use it often, and not on intricate paper. Thanks for watching ❤️
Judith Easley The Fine Tip Glue Pen is wonderful for applying sequins, adding glossy accents and writing, but this method is hands down easier for intricate paper! Delighted it was helpful Judith! Thanks for your kind comments ♥️
Deborah Anne Hi Deborah Anne! Thanks for your sweet comment- delighted it was helpful. To answer your question: I just leave my sponge loose with a dedicated Silicone Craft Sheet on my craft area. I used to store it in a little plastic container, but found it made little difference. Check out the comments for other ideas; several people chimed in suggestions😊

Great question Heike! Once Tombow Multipurpose Glue dries, it's not water soluble and can't be rinsed. It turns gummy and is best just cut away. Because it's designed to dry quickly, I find this method works best. :)
Great idea to add glue to intricate pieces, Thank you! I will say that i will never order from stampin up or any other "brand" because it is ridiculously overpriced and you pay simply for a brand name and not material. i can find everything here for what it should cost, a few dollars at most. I had to laugh when you showed the yellow sponges...i cant believe stampin up sells dish sponges...i hope they charge $1 for those cause that's what they cost unbranded. For anyone interested, you can find silicone mats in bigger sizes for only $2 with free shipping. I get mine from ebay vendors in china...exact same product, same material, just costs what it should.
I appreciate your feedback VP. The beauty of our wonderful country is everyone has the freedom to choose what works best for them. I’m all about making savvy purchases! I appreciate Stampin’ Up’s quality, but even more their 30+ year reputation for having the best customer service in the business. They stand behind their products! They’re a family owned company, so for these and many other reasons, I’m happy to support them. I respect you don’t! Happy creative day😊

The key is to wash the sponge BEFORE it dries, if that’s your preference 😊

Look into Xeron machines....
Wander Woman I actually do have Xyron machines, but I still find this method much cheaper and easier for these applications. Thanks for sharing 😊
Super glue DOES stick to the silicone mat and won't come off. Found out the hard way.
👏👏👍💕
I would suggest not layering your background on the same surface where you just applied glue. It might pick up the glue from the mat.
Good suggestion! TFS 😊
