Hi Stephen m i moved away from disclosing sold prices because the buyer doesn't always want the figure all over the internet... I think the main thing is to know what the cost was to put these cars back on the road, a quick ebay search will tell you the rough value of the cars.

Kia MOT in May 2021 said 'offside rear wheel buckled slightly'
Apparently so, couldn't feel it when driving and there was no visible damage either.
@@SeriousAboutSalvage I’m getting this checked when I get a new set of tyres fitted. Easily fixed by my local wheel repair place. The buckled wheel was originally on the front if you look at the MOT advisories, but was moved to the back before it’s last MOT. Less chance of it effecting steering feel etc on the back. I didn’t notice anything on the journey home.
Definitely get a board to keep track of spending Phil.

Hey Phil just a thought have you considered trying to get a mobile dent master out to have a go at those small dents I think they could do something with them not too expensive to do a lot cheaper than swapping wings, great to watch them come back together good luck keep em coming.

Fairly straightforward this one by the looks of it! I think replacing the n/s front wing would have been OTT a dent man might be the answer. I think most salvage repairers have issues with getting the right parts - an occupational hazzard I guess! The RS5 looks interesting, looking forward to the story on that one. Have you decided to send the Mini on its way ?

Had a panic on then that there was no video today
Thought it was the rs5 at my local copart. Ironically its white with front end but its not thats still for sale and 2 year older. But very excited for this. I see a channel boom coming once that video's released.

How did you get the wing undone from behind the small 1/4 glass? Would have liked to have seen that.
i didn't , its impossible without breaking the glass.
I cut the old one out and cut a slot in the new one.👍

Parts availability is a nightmare in colour for these. I had one in exactly the same colour. After a month of waiting I managed to find a wing in colour, got it delivered and realised it didn’t have the indicator hole cut out of it🤭. Bodyshop ended up fixing it but it came out awful lol
Yeah that was one of the main issues, the high spec'd cars like this had the indicator in the mirror cover, which made it increasingly difficult to find a wing.

Service kit price was one of the first items i added into the price bud.

It's all down to purchase price, if it's cheap enough anything can make money.

Could do, but the cost to remove the dents in the wing would be higher than a replacement wing, and no dent man will guarantee the paint doesn't crack when trying to get the dent out.
So you cut the most interesting bit of the video out! How you dealt with the quarter light glass and wing tab... I guess you cut it off!!??
I didn’t think of cutting it off but that would explain why it wasn’t shown
It’s the quickest most effective way. As you mentioned it, it’s like you have done it before
The only option is to cut it off, the bolt is longer than the gap between the body and the glass there for without smashing the glass you can't remove it, there's an extra fixing right above and below the glass so the fixing behind the glass isn't needed really.
Couldn't you get a dent removal company out of take out those dents in the wings?

You have to stop somewhere Phil. This is a 7 yo motor, and you cannot expect it to be A1 mint. It is a fabulous car and the new owner sounds well chuffed. Kia is a force to be reckoned with, as well as Hyundai. Two Audis under repair together, you Areva brave man ! 👍😎

The colour match between bumper and body is due to the bumper being plastic, colour match from the factory wouldn't have been perfect either.
The Audi... just money pits, avoid German cars, they will just give you headaches.

Why are you using a fish eye lens on your camera, its very off putting when watching the videos. There are loads of wings on ebay. We don't see you using all your paint spraying equipment you purchased shortly after the inception of your channel, why is this? That wing has a different shade of silver
Fish eye lens gives a wider view for you guys, i can't always give far enough away from the vehicle to capture everything in the picture so at the moment the fish eye lens is required.
Most wings on ebay have the indicator in the wing, my car has the indicator in the wing mirror.
I stopped painting because the weather up here is mostly cold and without a heated paint booth its impossible to get a good finish.
