Just remember God loves a cheerful giver. Give to your church or congregation. And he will give you back more.

It’s what’s in your mind that counts which determines your heart.
I play in moderation & hopes to win, not for the love of money.

I play the lottery but not to be a rich man. I would buy a house, truck and a boat, that is all I need. The rest would to be to help my church. But I really deep in my heart I want to help the poor Appalachian churches and their pastors, that is my dream. I don't have an addition to the lottery as if I forget to play the lottery then it is no big deal. I know their are those who are addicted to the lottery and they shouldn't play.

And this is the crux. We know money is a tool. One can misuse a hammer. Money itself has no morality at all. It’s simply a medium of exchange. It’s the person’s motivation. I always wanted to win a big pot to put up a different kind of place for the elderly. I now have the displeasure of seeing my MIL being put in a horrid place by her husband, and I am financially powerless to do anything about that. The poor soul wants to stay home. He cannot afford the care. I think it’s more Christian to play the lottery at that point. The same people who say no go, will gamble in the money market all day long, and pretend they’re working. No, it’s still gambling

And I for one see no issue with that. In fact, the example is aet in the book of Acts with Ananias and Saphira. People always emphasize the punishment for lying, but miss what was being said. “ Did you not have the power “, in other words, it wasn’t because they didn’t give, but because they lied to the Holy Spirit as to the amount. God was saying, it’s your money, you have the power to do with it, what you want. Church leaders today are fleecing the flock. In the New Testament, there is no tithe. The hope is that a Christian will be a cheerful giver, but that’s it. There is no 10% demand. The real admonition is to hopefully help the church of God, should you come into wealth. I laugh at ministers, who preach about poverty, who then use old useless Judaic Law, to coerce money from even the widow, using a false give to get teaching. There’s no spiritual difference between hoping your giving to the church will “ bless you”, and playing the lottery. If there is a blessing, it’s being willfully deferred by that same church, which itself is not following the early church example. Not one Christian should worry about losing a home because a job dried up. But what do many pastors do. Collect a weekly tithe, send it to a organizational home, and it gets sent away from the people that gave it. Or possibly just skimmed away. That giving is to be kept locally and redistributed as needed to the body that gave it. If a person set in their heart, to give 10%, cheerfully, then do so. Just don’t fib about. If it’s 5%, no issue. It can be 1%. That’s up to the believer. We aren’t following the biblical model.

You know; there ARE rich people who do believe in our Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ. And Abraham, David, Solomon; all rich and tho with faults were pretty good in my eyes. The LOVE of money is truly sinful in my opinion. So yes I will continue to play and hopefully with a kind heart and not lose my soul; cause trust me it sucks not having money.

Idk but I would never want to put my trust in the Lottery . Makes me think of the verse in proverbs about gaining money hastly will dwindle but money gather bit by but shall increase also I wouldn’t want to win the Lottery and then it would make me not need to rely on the Lord because I’m so focused on my winnings I rather just wait on the Lord that’s the safest place a lot of people are trusting in princes and chariots but not in Gods timing

Been saved and living a Godly life for over 11 years now me and my wife honor God and Jesus.
There’s nothing in the Bible that teaches on the buying lottery tickets as a sin.
Matthew 25:14-30 teaches how a Lord went traveling and left 3 servants talents.
1 was left with 5 and 1 was left 2 talents and 1 with 1.
The 1 with 5 traded and brought back 5 more and his Lord was pleased.
And the 1 with 2 brought 2 more back.
The last took the only 1 he had a kept it safe until his Lord returned and his Lord was not pleased.
It’s all in our hearts is what matters.
If we truly honor God then we won’t desire to be rich but instead blessed with wealth so that our financial struggles will be over.
And we can have the desires of our hearts as the Bible teaches he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
The Bible states that God gives power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18
    He knows we need money.

No!, No!, No!, No!, Nooooooo!... If l win the lottery... I am not gonna give it to some Lame-Church, That uses that money 💰, To spend on Expensives-Carpets, Decorations, Food for their own Private-Parties/Events, Etc., For themselves! When l tithe that money, To The Lord, That Cash 💰 will be placed, ln several Homeless-People's hands, and lt's not gonna be just a, Measley, 10 bucks!

And the government runs the lottery.. What does say about your government. If I remember correctly the money was supposed to be out public school system.. The money the lottery profits. Kids should be rich just by going to school.. But that's how government works.. They work the Best when they have evil intentions.
