!!Ashfur deserved everything he got in the end, and does NOT deserve forgiveness!!
So this is more an add-on to the events of a Light in the Mist. I really loved this scene from Centaurworld and one of my biggest grievances with ALITM was that Ashfur's death was so quick and his arc just never really satisfying in its ending. Ashfur deserved everything he got, and does NOT deserve forgiveness or redemption, I more wanted to see if the people he loved or was directly affected by would have an effect on how he faced them and really have to face what he did. Idk he was awful to all these newer characters but how might he have felt facing Ferncloud, Brindleface, Thornclaw, or even Hollyleaf? Ig we'll never know...but we can wildly speculate!
So the rundown of this video is Ferncloud finds Ashfur downriver in the Dark Forest after Bristlefrost and him were "killed" (Bristle is still dead sorry ): ) having crawled out of the water and barely alive. The goop you see all over him isn't really blood, its more like the black water having a chemical burn effect and essentially melting his body off his skeleton, hence the steaming effect. Ferncloud restores him back to his form he would have been like the year they were made warriors, as she wants to remember his "good self". She reminisces and hurts over all the pain and destruction he has caused before killing him herself. Ending his reign of terror once and for all.

Ferncloud was a good choice for this, but I would also have loved to see Brindleface ending her own corrupted son
That’s fair! I chose Ferncloud since she saw Ashfurs life from a living perspective and spent more time with the character she thought he was, not really being exposed to him until the broken code~ tho I definitely thought abt using Brindle!
@@MochoBerry That's what I was thinking! Ferncloud was an excellent choice. And in a way it's a nice parallel between them. Ferncloud was very maternal and kind, Ashfur selfish and vengeful. They seemed close especially after Brindleface's death. The lyrics fit perfectly
@@brianamoore9825
Plus Ferncloud helped nurse and take care of the three so I'd assess she would also be furious with Ashfur for his actions.
I mean. It’s a good idea! But Ferncloud spent a lot more time with her brother, alive, than Brindleface did. She died when they were both barely apprentices. Ferncloud grew up and became a warrior with Ashfur. Her rage would make a lot more sense.
Bet that smelled bad
IS IT WRONG TO FEEL BAD FOR ASHFUR? i mean deep down all he ever wanted was to be loved. after squirelflight dumped him,he was sent into a deep depression and he just snaped. doesent make what he did better. But, I disagree Ashfur does deserve forgiveness
I think you can feel bad for him while not condoning his actions, but he did kill a bunch of people, torture their souls, beat the life out of Squilf and some other kid, attempt to burn three people alive, and abuse a child. He’s really not in love with Squilf at all, he wants to control her, he doesn’t have any concern for her well-being. That’s not love, it’s self-centered
YESSSSSS I’ve been waiting to see someone use the concept of Ferncloud kicking his ass for all the pain and trouble he caused.
I love how sorrowful Ferncloud looks about what she has to do, and how FURIOUS she is with Ashfur. I love how Ashfur almost seems relieved to see her at first, but when he realizes what’s going to happen, he seems almost resigned. Stubborn bastard that he is, for once, isn’t trying to struggle or fight or get away. He just stays there, resigning to his fate but looking afraid and bitter all the same. I love the whirlwind of emotions you see Ferncloud go through when she pins him down, and I love how Ashfur, despite not struggling or fighting, is visibly afraid near the end. All in all, fantastic work!
I love this sm. Ferncloud killed Bone for killing her father and she volunteered to be chased by hungry dogs to avenge her mother. She was sweet, she was gentle, yeah, but there was so much more to her that gets overlooked. She probably had a FUCK ton of pent up anger in there somewhere and it’s so nice to see that illustrated!!!
Her father?
@@Berrinthejumpy8296 Whitestorm
@@axelf9947 Was it ever stated in the books that Whitestorm was Ferncloud's father?
@@Berrinthejumpy8296 Like 80% of the family relations in the first series were only given on official family trees and on the wiki (Sandstorm's & Graystripe's parents, Ravenpaw and Dustpelt being siblings, Lionheart being the dad of Frostfur's kits, etc). Including Whitestorm being Fern and Ash's dad!
So no, it wasn't stated in the books, but it's easier to accept as canon than a lot of those bc at least the two of them actually had several interactions with him towards the end of the series (he spoke up for them when they wanted to avenge Brindleface and then they later avenged him, most notably) :]
@@axelf9947 I'm unsure how canonical that the tree is because I'm pretty sure they claimed that Graystripe's dad was full siblings with his mother. Whitestorm's influence during those scenes could easily be because he's the deputy. The books specify that Whitestorm is *Willowpelt's* mate. Subsequently, he can't be Brindleface's as well unless he cheated.
Like, I feel like either ferncloud or brindleface should’ve ended ashfur, it would’ve made the most impact without needing to kill Bristle (though I respect killing off bristle for that own impact)
Yo this is awesome. I’m going to cry this gave me massive chills from how deep their relationship was and how ashfur really was tbh
this makes me so unbelievably sad and i cant help but feel for ashfur, not for what he's done because jesus christ he deserves everything he got, but for the bond he shared with ferncloud. the only cat who could sympathise with him, share his grief and anger after their mother's death, and i don't feel sorry for him, it's more so that he was just so full of hatred and fury until his final breath and this video just makes me think how tiring it must've been. it would've been a fitting death for him to be killed, not in a brutal battle or a high tension situation, but solemnly by his sister, acknowledging his ill doings and sins and finally allowing himself to let go and allow his family closure. thank you for this animatic
Mannn this is so great
Sometimes the Erin’s forgot suck characters that have potential like Ferncloud
Okay like, I didn't think I would cry, but just seeing Ferncloud touching Ashfurs forehead, the grief in her expression and just... djsjskjdj why do you do this to me? This is so beautiful and sad I cannot. Like, yes, like you said, he doesn't deserve forgiveness or anything, but its still bitter in the end, even if well deserved lol.
PS, I love the shot of him at the riverbank, like, the steam and the dark waters having corrupted him, it looks sick
I'm a simple woman, I see something relating to Centuarworld? I click.
Lol I only started Centuarworld, and the warrior cats/centaurworld maps and pmvs got me started. Once you get past episode one, it’s actually pretty good. Season two was actually dark
@@cheetahlover6589 yeah. The first episode isn't good but then it gets darker and darker. I mean an episode in season one is about suicide.
Wow, this was amazing! I love how you animated Ferncloud’s emotions, and her resolve to end her brother once and for all
I like to think this is canon. I love Ferncloud so much and her saving the entire existence of the clans is just perfect.
Ashfur fucked up by messing with Ferncloud’s great-grandchildren.
I’m loving all the Centaurworld MAPs coming out of this fandom 💖💖💖 Fantastic Work!
THIS GAVE ME CHILLS IT'S SO GOOD!! ferncloud content is so interesting, awesome work!
At first I thought FernCloud was HollyLeaf because she killed AshFur it's tragic to see FernCloud ending her own brother.
This is beautifully done! I only wish this was in the book! This would be a great next chapter after he died or an epiloque.
Godddd this makes me feel so many things for poor Ferncloud ;o;
Man, I wish this was how it was in the book!
Holy shit, this is the coolest concept!!
The fact that kill off Ashfur broke my heart, especially since I thought they brought him back to give him a reform arc. Kill Ashfur was the merciful thing to do, his whole existence was based on his obsession with Squirrelflight and he would never have her. Part of me see his death as way of him accepting that. (Sorry about sounding like an Ashfur apologetic.)
DONT BE SORRY YOU. ARE.RIGHT. #ASHFURPROTECTIONSQUAD!
This is so good holy shit! What programs did you use?
Firealpaca and Vegas Movie Studio!
TOT Girly pop just brought him back to stab him agaainnn
This is such a fantastic use of this song, Ferncloud doing in Ashfur was such a good choice
What film/series is the song from? Btw this is an amazing animation.
Centaurworld on Netflix and Thank you!
I love how you drew Ferncloud. Especially her head fluff hair
1:32 me singing with Volo one last time before Death.
Hi!
Good day to you, and I was wondering whether I could use this song with ashfur and sqf as i'd conceptualized it but after seeing this i really feel like i need to ask you :{
