Nice boat! For the Bimini Top, in the last few pics, it appears you have added 2 additional struts/poles from the motor mount loops to the bimini frame. Where did you get those?
Really nice. I am planning on a roof and this is the best I have seen. What are the brackets called that you glued on? Not sure what to search for. Thanks!
Hello. I really like your setup. Could you please send the links to the bimini top and the attachment bracket for the motor. Also, what electric motor and battery would you recommend? Thank you in advance.
I still had to make a few adjustments to the bimini. I haven't used the electric motor on this boat myself.A battery with at least 100Ah is definitely recommended. These are my experiences, but on a different boat. www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00670MI5C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.de/wellenshop-Sonnenverdeck-Schlauchboot-aufgeklebt-Gabelgelenk/dp/B00CWWH31S/ref=pd_bxgy_img_3/261-4342063-3928509?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00CWWH31S&pd_rd_r=e6f767d1-b299-4955-998b-0d07a78fdc10&pd_rd_w=AEqDZ&pd_rd_wg=ndzwo&pf_rd_p=a8951a51-6d79-4743-90b9-7063e3f4b854&pf_rd_r=3791J9FQSHYQV2NJJ7SY&psc=1&refRID=3791J9FQSHYQV2NJJ7SY www.amazon.de/Oceansouth-Bootsabdeckung-integrierter-Schutzh%C3%BClle-MOUNTING/dp/B074PSCM74/ref=pd_bxgy_img_2/261-4342063-3928509?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B074PSCM74&pd_rd_r=e6f767d1-b299-4955-998b-0d07a78fdc10&pd_rd_w=AEqDZ&pd_rd_wg=ndzwo&pf_rd_p=a8951a51-6d79-4743-90b9-7063e3f4b854&pf_rd_r=3791J9FQSHYQV2NJJ7SY&refRID=3791J9FQSHYQV2NJJ7SY&th=1
Hi Mike, i love yours ideas for the modification. I have a question about the batteriy for an moteur 86 lbs 24v. I need to buy 2 batterie 12v right? And what is the capacity of the battery? I can buy 2 battery more than 100 ah or the maximum is 80 ah? Thanks
Hello, thank you. You can use 2 x 12 V batteries. You then have to connect the batteries in series (series connection). I recommend a 24 V battery with at least 80 Ah more is always better. This battery should not be a car battery. Normal car starter batteries (lead acid) - are almost unsuitable for boat electric motors, far too dangerous and too "short of breath". An AGM battery is very suitable for boat engines, for many hundreds of charging cycles, very durable and inexpensive.
@@mike_Smoscher wow, i didn't know that. Thanks for your reponds. Finally, i decide to buy 2 batteries AGM 12v 80ah ( more than 80ah is over my budget) with the series connection. Is this correct? Thank you so much one tjme, have a good day
@@TheNoc2210 You have to set up the series connection yourself. That means connect the positive pole to the negative pole of the next battery. The voltages of the individual batteries add up. The total capacity [Ah] is equal to the capacity of the single battery. So if you connect two AGM 12 V batteries with 80 AH correctly you have 24 V with 80 AH.

Did you sit on the stern box you made to control the motor etc or was it just for storage etc? Thanks.

Planning on doing this, thanks for the very helpful video!
Do you have any data on what top speed and the mileage you get on it with your setup?
I have not yet measured the top speed. I have now covered about 150 km with the boat and the Honda engine.
Lets see it float!
In 2 weeks it starts.
Is there a video? 😅
Hello. I also have a Mariner 4 (old model). Did you put the new floor on top of the stock one? Or did you replace?
I also put the new floor on top of it. That gives more stability.
Nice! Where did you get the Bimini top and glue on base for them?
The Bimini Top is from Amazon. The glued bracket is also from Amazon.
What do you mean by "glue on base for them"
@@mike_Smoscher can you provide link for the glue on parts on Amazon? I cant find them thx

Hi again. How many mm of thikness is the wooden floor ?
The OSB board is 12 mm thick. This is sufficient because the original floor remains underneath.
@@mike_Smoscher , thanks , do you think it must be cut a few cm less than the original plastic floor and how many cm less ?
the whole original plastic floor is 2.80 m X 0.88 m What should the wooden dimentions be ?
@@SV1HFK I made the bottom 2 cm smaller on all sides.
@@mike_Smoscher superb !!! thanks for your immediate response I am going to cut the wood in a few hours Thanks again !!!
What are the dimensions for the floor? Thanks
As a template, I have taken the supplied soil, and subtracted 3 cm all around.
Mike Z what?
