This game marked my childhood. I think this is the best Super Mario game I've ever played, counting all the orchestral music of the game and the plot ... oh my god!
Seeing this footage again is hitting me like a truck. Galaxy was the first ever game I was anticipating before it's release. I never followed news for a game or anything before until this game and man was it a blast when I finally got my hands on it. All of it started when I saw Mario on the cover of Nintendo Power magazine, waving his arms around like a Nebula, deep in space with this determined spark in his eye, that my imagination exploded and for the next year, I was never the same. My mind had been expanded, what I knew what was possible in video games had been shattered and broadened, and my love for them grew so much more from then on. It was a magical time to be a Nintendo fan in those days.
Impressive how 16 years later the creator still giving hearts. A legend! Impresionante que después de 16 años este creador sige dando corazones, una leyenda!

UA-cam was better by far back then...It wasn't filled with so much bullcrap. I barely remember it though...First UA-cam video I watched was called Pokemon Spoof. It's still up today and I died as a kid watching that. I watch it still but for nostalgia.
Interesting how when the launch stars launch Mario, there’s an extra beat and flange that is added to the music while he is flying. It disappears when he lands.
It is amazing that this is more than a decade-and-a-half old. I was just a young teen back then. Considering the fact that this is among the earliest UA-cam videos, this is definitely nostalgic in more than one way. I kind of wish I could go back to that year as my current self to revisit the Internet and the gaming world as they were back then.
I remember being 9 years old and obsessing over every piece of early footage that came out for galaxy and checking sites every day to see if more footage had come out. Then on release day me and my mom were already out having a fun day and we topped it off with me buying Galaxy at Future Shop. Man that’s some heavy nostalgia.
Imagine... It’s 2006. Years after the release of Super Mario Sunshine. And this game is announced. Better yet, there’s a demo waiting for you. You open it up. You drop to the ground. And the music comes in, and it’s a wonderful track. One that inspires adventure and exploration in the very depths of space itself. You launch through stars, explore planets and face an unfamiliar boss at the end of whichever path you take. You have no idea that this game is going to change, and will look a bit different from what you played. Almost every planet in this demo will be changed in some form.
