O. Brown jr is slow as molasses but he can play. Speed is nice to have at all positions, O-Line is no exception, it helps when pulling and on reach blocks, but you get away without it in some schemes.
@@gnielsen07 bench press is muscle endurance. Plus strength built in your arms. As a defensive lineman, extending with your arms is the most important first step to do with your hands. Being good at benching will help with this. But as an offensive lineman, it won’t be needed as much.
Not gonna lie I'm not a trenches guy but I respect the position a lot. Its really underrated and I'm amazed at their athleticism. These last few years it feels like they're getting more and more athletic. Feels like the game is evolving and its quite scary when a guy 290/300, can run a 40 under 5 seconds 😐
OL 40 is completely irrelevant. Would make sense if Guards and Tackles pulled on every play but how often do they do that? Not often at all. With that said, without the line, you don’t have a football team, though

You can be a slow runner and have fast feet. It is all about getting that jump on them.
It seems like 40 times are a better indication of a great olineman than any other position by the looks of the guys on the fast list
