Wish you got many more views, just love your content, keep going on👌❤️
Thank you so much! The views will come 😊
I'm so grateful for this video and this channel!! I feel so fortunate to have found someone sharing tips and experience in environmental science. Thank you!
Please make a video of environmental/ wildlife related jobs that you can get in high school ❤️
I don't have any animal shelter or sanctuary nearby, neither nature, there's only a stinking city, hence I find it harder to find places where I can volunteer. I'm extremely passionate about wildlife and hope of getting a research career in it, but I realize that I lack experience.
That's why your video was immensely helpful as it showed me the different ways of building up my resume.
Thanks a lot, Kristina!
Thanks for recommending the Nat Geo courses! I already have a certificate from Coursera in Ecology - Ecosystems and Conservation, but now I will also do the introduction to Conservation and perhaps more from NatGeo.
What a great time to find this video! I wanted to volunteer at a local wildlife center but the pandemic has led to them not accepting new volunteers and the zoo I used to intern at has probably the same problem and they became more competitive. Looking forward to taking those R programming classes and getting a nature book for identifying species. Great video Kristina!
thank you! this is going to be very useful
This was so helpful, thank you!
This is great! Thank you so much
Really appreciate all your honest video contents. Thanks 🙂
You are so extremely helpful and very detailed. Thank you so much for your videos!
I love this! So many creative ideas for this and thanks for sharing resources. You are awesome 😀
I really appreciate your channel. I've been in the Military for 11 years but I've been wrestling with the idea of getting out but I didnt have a specific or even vague career field in mind. Some of my family suggested something with animals, which I've always had a strong affinity for. I just happened to search wildlife careers on youtube and found your channel. You've given me lot of great and concise information. I know itll be difficult but I feel pretty confident in pursuing a career in wildlife biology or a similar field. I just wanted to say thank you, you deserve a much bigger following
Thank you so much for the kind words! The military is a really great background for this field - I work with many folks with military backgrounds 😊
This is super cool!
All your vdo are so informative Thank u!
I was just trying to find info like this a few days ago. Thank you so much for this!!
I plan on going into wildlife biology and these videos are really helpful. Thank You
I can’t tell you how much your videos have helped me through college and preparing me for after college
Amazing! I truly appreciate your channel, it has helped me so so much in planning my future as a wildlife biologist!
This video is so helpful. I'm starting my junior year of college and this is exactly what I needed.
I’m now doing the free conservation course on United for wildlife!! It is so interesting. Thanks for the great info you always give us Kristina:)
Cant wait to expand my plant press!
Love your videos :). I am a mature env science student studying online for now and although I am in Scotland, I find it hard to get work experience atm. This helps me out a lot. Cheers :D
Thank you so much for this video, it gave me lots of good ideas!
I’m glad it helped! ❤️❤️
Hey Kristina,
Great video! I didn't realise coding would be a part of ecology jobs.
I have my results day next week where I will see if I got into my first choice uni to study zoology! I really hope I get into it as they have so many opportunities to gain experience in the field, like an eco society where I can learn how to mammal trap, how to operate camera traps, ring birds, go on bat walks etc. And there are lots of marine opportunities affiliated with the uni as well such as being able to get a license to rescue marine mammals. Apparently students even get permission to skip lectures if there is a stranded dolphin nearby they need to go and save!
Thank you!I have been watching your videos to help me research while I wait to see if I have been accepted into the bachelor's of science program
I was just looking out for inspiring books about the enviroment and sciences but now here I am subscribing to this channel and watching every single video. Great contents
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!I'm a junior majoring in environmental science. The majority of jobs where I live calls on experience and I have none. Didnt know what to do to get experience. But now I have ideas thanks to you!! Again thank you so much!!
Your videos are a blessing! I am wanting to research animal care cause I love animals both farm animals and wildlife
So thank you for sharing tips
It means a lot! I have had a hard time still wondering what career is for me fully
But animals deserve all the care
They’re so lovely!
Thank you I LOVE the idea of bringing a self made plant book to interviews! I'd add one for wildlife ID sketches/pics too 👍
Good idea!
Very helpful.
Big fan of your videos!! I’ve seen a few & enjoy all of them 🦋🌱✨
Thank you for all the support ❤️❤️
I really like your intro 😭😭
I’m going for my Bachelors and Masters in Natural Res. Eco and Wildlife Management
I really liked this video. A lot of your other videos are geared towards those still in college or in high school so it is hard for me to relate. I recently graduated with a B.S. biological science. Unfortunately, I was unable to do any internships which is making it so hard for me to find a job now. A lot of the internships around me are non paid which I cannot afford so it’s been so hard for me to get experience.
So glad this is helpful! I know it’s tough as a new grad - the first job is the hardest to find. I would recommend looking for seasonal work or pursuing moving if you can.
Very much usefull
National Geographic also has free online conservation courses
Could you do a video on online resources and apps you can download to learn more about wildlife
wow kristina..ur videos are really motivating me a lot in my life,😊Thank you so much.
i m doing my UG in wildlife science😊😊.
And my aim is to have all the wildlife animals like tiger, lion, giraffe, and a hippo
and some rare species as my buddies in my home from its birth(small).
and to live my life only with animals around ..😁😁😁
And my house name is
"THE LAND OF PARADISE"
Could you make a video about the physical ability needed to do this work? I broke my back in february and I'm still recovering. I worry that i won't be employable unless i start now with physical training.
Could you do a video about how to get experience if you don't like near an animal sanctuary.
What about working in a tree/plant nursery?
Do you think you can give an example of a resume for someone studying Ecology or in Wildlife major? I think it would be really helpful!
Thank you so much for this. What do you recommend for someone who has a bachelors of arts and wants to switch to environmental science? Are there any pathway programs/ Masters degrees that allow non-science majors?
hi kristina how are you😊
so beautifull video😄😄
i love ur edits😄😍
birds are so cute😍
kristina 😊..
i have some doubts..
if i did my UG in wildlife biology..
can i do My PG in forestry ??
Is PG Diploma in environmental science a good option for resume and other job purposes?? Thnxx for ur videos
I want to be a zoologist but since i’m in California (USA) that would be kind of hard, i don’t want to move anywhere else though. Any advice?
Hello! Love your videos! I'm hoping you could give me some advice. I have an undergrad in psychology and started a master's program for social work which I'm now withdrawing from. I've always felt passionate about animals and wildlife and now feel I should have pursued that from the beginning, and regret not doing it. I want to go back for a second undergrad... would a degree in environmental science lead to a wide array of jobs, including what you do and working with wildlife? Thank you!
Yea a lot of people get an environmental science degree! You need to do internships/volunteer work though too along with a degree to have a good chance of getting a job on graduation.
My school requires at least one semester of ARCGIS to graduate.
That’s good! I’m glad schools are getting with the times and seeing the need for that skill
I want become wildlife biologist please tell me group want to take for become wildlife biologist pls.................
hey this may be a really dumb question but if I want to study entomology...should I just study Biology in general?
Nyoka not dumb at all! Depends on what your school offers but for such a specific niche wildlife biology/zoology might be better but general biology could work. Entomologists often go to grad school where they really specialize further - most undergrad degrees are light on the entomology opportunities available
Hey mind me asking, is your accent what they call up speaking? Is it a Canadian thing? Nice to listen to you speaking though. :)
Lol I'm not sure but I have a weird mash up of a California and Canadian accent so any "valley girl" sounds from my accent is probably my California side ;)
When i put on my resume that i did volunteer how do they know that is true?
I’m asking beacuse I don’t know if they have to give me like a certificate or something
They don’t have to give you a certificate, they may want to call your volunteer coordinator to confirm and background check but many take your word for it
Kristina Lynn thank youu
I think you could be a good teacher. Get your Ph.D 😊
This is random, but I found out that apparently there's alot of "Kristina Lynn"s on youtube!
There is actually!
@@kristina_lynn Maybe u have to be more specific. (lol)
Awww. I did the plant print when I was in primary school. I remember that it was funny........... but then, I felt like if I killed something and even have the body. Hahahahahaha🦚🌫💀😵😰. 😕😕😕😕
Instead of ArcGIS, QGIS is open source and free.
I enjoy the content, but for the love of god I cannot stand the "upspeak" any longer. Unsubscribing.
