This wash routine literally gave me the best, most reliable, wash and go EVER. My hair never responded well to gel when it was soaking wet, but it always felt dry if I waited till it was slightly damp to style. Never thought about applying my leave-in and gel in stages. Hey cousin! It's funny you mentioned that Sport ECO, I just used it for my twist out this week. I stopped using it because it didn't pair with the leave in I used at the time. This time I used a different leave in and waited to style my hair the next day. No flakes so far.
Yes! Letting your leave-in soak in a little is really key. Doing this method allows me to use almost (ALMOST lol) any leave-in I want without any issues with flaking.

How wet is your hair when you are applying the EcoStyler? You mentioned that you wrap it for 20min after the leave-in...
I would say about 50-60% wet. Not dripping but still squeezable if that makes sense

Hey cousin! What does it do by letting the leave in sit for a while before applying they styler?
Two things for me: 1) Allows my hair to air dry a little so I’m not working on soaking wet hair so the product doesn’t just slide off. 2) Allows most of the product to go in my hair, making less of a chance for whatever gel I’m using to mix unevenly and flake. 👌🏾❤️

You don’t re-wet your hair with a spray bottle before applying gel? I feel like I always hear that wash n Gos should be on soaking wet hair, it works fine for you without being soaking wet?.
I have low porosity hair so soaking wet hair is actually not best for maximum results. I have a whole video on the reason for this! Check out my “Low Porosity Playlist”! I think it will be really helpful 🤗
Do you wash your hair once or twice a week?
It just depends on how my hair is doing that week. I really don’t have a set rule. Sometimes once, sometimes twice. If I have time I’ll do twice. ❤️
I had to come back and ask this question...Cousins, can anyone explain why i can't get my roots to act accordingly...they stay poofy which is gross to me...and for that reason i don't do wash and goes..i try..but it never works for me...Tips???
Sometimes when my roots are really unruly I have to let them dry a little more so that the product sticks to them heavier and lays them down better, if that makes sense. Then break down in smaller sections
