      Mirror was a great idea because you could see the details of the hidden side too not just the illusion of depth. But should use a glass cutter instead, cleaner break & less dust.

    • @ayehhamidian542
      @ayehhamidian542 4 роки тому +37

      @@ItsVerosLife I'm pretty sure she didn't "copy" him. making a Harry Potter book nook can be a very appealing idea for any artist who is a fan of Harry Potter (me included). At the end of the day they have mostly used very different techniques and had different approaches. I personally love both end results. :)

    • @patmacrotch5611
      @patmacrotch5611 3 роки тому +20

      @@ItsVerosLife The whole point of making these videos is so other people make what you make but with their own touches, ideas, and style. That's kind of the point. That and its basically just a diorama (you tube is full of book nooks), Harry Potter themed. Finally, she makes things she wants for herself, documents the process in an entertaining way, and by no means tries to portray any of her work as completely 100% original ideas.

    Marks out all the individual cobbles, paints them and weathers them, then covers the whole damn lot with snow !

    • @TheProppingBlock
      @TheProppingBlock  4 роки тому +59

      Ha! Yeah I was making it up as I went along so that'd be due to my poor planning! I wasn't sure where I wanted the snow to be so I just painted and weathered everything!

    • @FlowersInHisHair
      @FlowersInHisHair 4 роки тому +33

      @@TheProppingBlock That's the best way to go. That way you can change your mind on the fly - don't have to worry about sticking to a plan too rigidly and can adapt if there's a problem.

    • @kayleighbrown965
      @kayleighbrown965 4 роки тому +15

      I see you point but it makes it much more realistic that way, as the snow gets trodden in, it turns to ice and as it melts and refreezes, it takes on a crusty semi-opaque glassy look? So you see the cobbles underneath. You see it in a lot of old cities :)

      Making something like this, could actually be a idea for actual spider cages (like for people who keep tarantulas)
      ...but idk if thats not too much or possible ,since u have to clean the cages once in a while...i dont have much knowledge about keeping spiders as pets ,so.... dunno if that would work. Was just a idea

    It is indescribable beautiful, outstanding, creative, fantastic, inspiring.WOWWWW!!!! I have been creating worlds in 1:6 for many years now. And I know how long it takes to construct things. When someone is asking to get something for 50 €... an illuminated room from Potter, almost identical to the Potter exhibition that we made a lot of pictures of. It took months to make identical beds with everything incuded, his closet and so on. Even tiny books hundreds of very little magical things inside. Illumination inside and outside. Nothing baught, everything realistic selfmade. "I thought I could get it for 50 €".....That makes me wild! These things are really professional, not trash that you can see sometimes when people want to make money without talent and no investment of time and no love for details. How can people be soooo blind sometimes??? Your work is great!
