For me to be hailed as an all time great he took way too many chances, was guilty of showboating. Sitting upsides other horses at the last crusing looks great until your horse doesn't pick up clouts it and you get beaten a head, Ruby would never have ridden like that......you are cantering over the opposition you kick clear from 2 out or even 3 out and allow for the fact your fellow might make a horlicks of one.......Like Kauto did a few times for example.
He is only a little Ginny Ann who never grew up , a very immature person , Ireland has produced a lot of good jockeys and he sure as hell is not one of them .

Carberry's finest moments - my arse! I could have won on most of these. Carberry was an egocentric little bollocks who cared more about looking good than giving the punters a run for their money. Only Carberry could have lost the Champion Hurdle on Harchibald.

Me too Frenchman's creek got my patent up. I had like a butterfly in supreme and Moscow flyer won Arkle. Good times 😊

Great jockey but also a side which is less than sensible. Waving at the three times Gold Cup winner in Best Mate was pathetic.
