Some were laughing and some looked truly offended by some of the jokes. Only 5 out of 30 recorded US postal killings involved ex-workers who were fired, as opposed to quitting or retiring. That’s 1/6, and little to no information about their race. The point of going postal, and why it’s scary, is that it’s active workers turning on a dime and surprising coworkers with a weapon. Maybe find a better reason to discriminate against whites.

He's had a hit sitcom and talk show.
Loved it. Need to watch more Harvey. As for the point of the sketch, my dad owns a business with about 50 employees, so he’s obviously fired and hired hundreds of people over the last 30 years. On a serious note, this behavior dynamic actually does play out in very many cases - however there is absolutely nothing hilarious about it in real life. Of course people of all races can be great and terrible employees, but to deny that there are tangible differences between groups as a whole is to deny obvious reality.
The business is in an 85% white part of town, so most people are white, with some blacks and Hispanics. The difficult fact to accept is that, in the company’s history, the *majority* of our most serious personnel crises have been caused by the small minority of black employees. We’ve had an angry employee show up to work with a gun and issuing threats, requiring expensive police security. We’ve had a disgruntled employee fabricate elaborate tales of racist abuse he claimed to have suffered, which incurred tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees to get this thrown out (despite his accusations being utterly laughable and discredited by dozens of witnesses). I could go on, but the overall point is that there are tangible, quantifiable risks associated with hiring black employees which surely damages the prospects of excellent black employees who would be delightful and respectful.
It’s SO EASY to fire a white guy. If it’s a minority of some kind, all bases must be strictly
covered because a lawsuit is always a possibility. This is terrible for business, but it’s even more terrible for blacks who simply want to get hired and come to work like everyone else.
