4100u test in Fine Arts building 2 of 2

This was shot in the Fine Arts building (2007) at the college where I work campus police. This was shot after hours in order to test a function of the system (see video 1). The panel is a 4100u that is networked via fiber to the main panel in the Campus Safety office. The pull is the 4099-9001. The NAs are smart synced speaker strobes.

@Gary Beltz I think they are on different NAC extenders and the extenders aren't in sync with each other.

That is actually done in some instances but I never understood that either.

@jman because you can do certain tones from the tone genarator and tones are selective

JMAN123436 That's a good question. I was not working Campus Police when the building was built so I had not heard the system until around the time I shot that video. I had always hoped for voice evac. I have always thought it was classier.

there can be multiple tones or voices in a voice evac system but you can choose if you want voice or not

It's almost like my high school which got a new simplex voice evacuation system for this school year. It had the default whoop/voice on it, and one day someone working on it set it off, and a lot of the teachers thought it was an intruder alert because the tone is the same. So they switched it to high low no voice.
