Brilliant idea with the glossy cardstock paired with the gold, white and black foil. Also, great tips for helping us use our glitter. The glitter seems to last forever. You are a true friend and inspiration. 💙🥰
What a gorgeous range of products and I LOVE working with loose glitter, especially this way. It's a great reminder to pull out my glitters again. As always, your creations are divine and your inspiration is so wonderful! Thank you Jennifer xoxo
Thank you Jennifer for the tip about the Swiffer cloths!!! It worked like a charm!! I've always struggled with glitter and this made it so easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!😊
Such an elegant card! My SIL and I send pics back and forth to get suggestions and ideas from another set of eyes. Thanks for this. I have used some of your glitter ideas for cards in the past and they are great.
Really appreciate that you use older items and not just all new products in your video. Because, if anyone started with scrapbooking, we all have a stash of stuff. The cards are lovely! Thank you for sharing with all of us!
Beautiful cards. I will definitely be trying some glitter backgrounds. I appreciate these videos so much where you remind us of older craft supplies & give new ways to use them. Thank you!!
Jennifer, I can't thank you enough for this video!! I have all the original Glitter Ritz colors and I'm so excited to finally have a fun way to use some of them after all these years! Love all the cards today, and hooray for using the "Dude" products! I'm so glad Simon is finally getting into the dies!
I have tons of Glitter Ritz too.. thanks to Jennifer’s older videos featuring it! Glad to see her break them out again! Sad that company isn’t around anymore. I liked ordering from such a small biz.. I remember the website was a bit clunky back then but her service was great.
As always, Jennifer, it's a joy to watch your videos -- so many gorgeous techniques! Even more delightful is to listen to your articulate voice. You don't suffer from the "gonna, going to, gunna" disease afflicting so many or your UA-cam contemporaries. I call it the UA-cam disease -- these demonstrators (some of whom are favorites of mine, but I cringe and lose interest because their incessant use of the "going to" disease dominates my hearing!) Unlike these other lovely, talented demonstrators, you seem to realize the vid doesn't show you're "going to" do anything...you're doing it right now, in front of our eyes, in REAL TIME, even if you're adding your narrative later. Congrats on your sophisticated, articulate presentations. Please try to help your other crafty friends eliminate this annoying disease from their language.
That gold is just stunning Jennifer. I don’t have a foiling system..not interested in another piece of equipment but this is tempting. It’s a space and $$ issue…lol
Thank you Jennifer I WILL be using your technique to use up glitter, can't wait and I hope that my cards turn out 1/2 as beautiful as yours. Thank you.
Around 4-6 (or something like that) years ago you’ll find at least two more videos using superfine glitter in the same way! So you’ll see even more card examples of it. If you can’t find them search for Glitter Ritz within her channel and maybe they’ll pop up.
Yes, I have tons of glitter. Designed a second Thanksgiving card once because I just couldn't stand working with glitter after the first 6 cards. Now maybe I can get back to using it. Thanks so much Jennifer!
Jennifer, I have a lot of glitter and have never used it. Thanks for showing how to use it without having a mess to contend with later. I will certainly get them out and use them. Thanks for sharing. Your cards were gorgeous.
✨ Try using your camera flash (on, not flashing) for glitter sparkles! Idk why it works but nail polish channels use it all the time to showcase glitter in polishes. Also.. I swear I could pick your card design out of a thousand if I needed to. You have such a wonderful eye for clean, simple, elegant, unique and beautiful designs. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching your style evolve through the years
Jennifer I absolutely love this technique. I have a lot of glitter, and now I have more great ways to use them! I have enjoyed years and years of card crafting fun from all your wonderful videos. Thank you so very much for inspiring me to continue my card crafting. Bless your kind heart for sharing your beautiful talent. Love and hugs.
Hi Jennifer 🥰🦘🦘🦘... Loved seeing these beautiful cards being created today. Your creativity and attention to detail is amazing as always. TFS with us! 🙏💐🫖☕🧁
Jennifer, you are so inspiring I cannot stop watching your videos. I wanted you to know that I just did my first ink blending project and it turned out so pretty but I don’t know how to finish it.
I really appreciate the glitter projects and tips. I can't wait to copy your card with my new ginko die from Spellbinders. I love seeing what you did with the black and white foil and layering your die cuts differently at the end. So many cool ideas, thanks for the video.
Several years ago she used super fine (mainly glitter ritz) glitter in a similar way and to color one card she used alcohol markers to color right over the clear glitter.. really pretty. And you’ll find several more card ideas for this technique as well! I know of at least two more like this! (Look around 4-6 years ago or search glitter ritz within her channel)
Jennifer, these cards are exceptional, can't wait to gather up my glitter, I have some special holographic ones aUve been wanting to use. Thank you Soooo much
The glittered blue background looks so pretty! I usually avoid using glitter because it's so messy, but getting a result like that would be worth a little mess.
Look back a few years and she has a few more videos just like this using super fine glitter.. glitter ritz actually. A few more ideas for glittery cards!
Those sentiments done with Black Glossy paper and White Opaque foil made me think of black patent leather Maryjanes or tap shoes with white ankle socks. Happy thoughts!
Oh Jennifer these cards are beautiful!! I just use stickles or glitter card stock. I stopped using glitter a long time ago because of my dogs. For some reason I thought it would get inside of them😂
I like to mix my loose glitter in with some transparent glossy texture paste and then use it over a stencil or I brush on the paste then sprinkle glitter all over it. Works like magic :D
LOVE glitter and these cards. Have you thought of using the back of the sticker paper and then using a brayer on top of that to add pressure when adding the glitter onto your card? Would that work? Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks!
I’m not an expert but something about burnishing the glitter down by rubbing it gives it an almost velvet effect. It changes the way it looks as opposed to just pressing it in. I remember that from her older videos using this same method. But try it both ways to see what you like best!
I’ve never understood the preoccupation with the environmental impact of glitter. Pretty sure it stems from glitter haters. I know the very first school that banned glitter did so before any studies had been done on craft glitter specifically. Most of the glitter that makes it’s way into our water systems is cosmetic glitter that’s coming off our bodies and not glitter used by crafters. Glitter is used in lots of industries and paper crafters foregoing glitter isn’t doing our environment much good. It’s actually rather pointless especially when the only study done to date that compared both standard craft glitter’s and biodegradable glitter’s impact on water systems found that there was no significant difference between the two types. Both were virtually equally harmful to aquatic systems. It’s worth noting that researchers dumped several pounds of glitter into a pond. That’s just not how craft glitter makes its way into the environment. Plus we attach glitter to our projects with equally problematic adhesives. While it is true that the type of plastic that glitter is made out of is also the most common type of plastic in the plastic particles found in the ocean, it’s important to understand that the vast majority of those plastic particles come from broken down plastic bottles. It’s rather silly to be worried about glitter in crafting while not caring a fig about sequins, gems, paint, glue, etc. plus all the plastic packaging. Crafting and art supplies are just not “environmental friendly”. But the crafting industry might as well be dwarfed into insignificance by agriculture and transportation in terms of environmental impact. It makes more sense to give up eating animals and driving your own car before eschewing glitter. Glitter lovers need not feel guilty.
Good points! All this, plus the fact that the vast majority of harmful waste in the ocean comes from China (the most egregious polluter), and other Asian countries, who will definitely NOT be changing their ways. No need for crafters to suffer guilt over glitter or other craft supplies, because our impact is negligible.
Glitter oh my! I have tons from back in the day. I liked it back then, and didn’t care when I found it on my face…..🫣Jennifer you make me want to use it again, I think……😳maybe after a couple of these🍸
Thanks so much for using my new release with Spellbinders, Jennifer! These cards are all absolutely gorgeous!!💙🤗

Beautiful cards! I am just over foiling. It has just never appealed to me. Love learning how to use up my glitter.
Glad I never bought the foiler, hearing your comment now😅😊😅
Towards the end of this video I accidentally hit something that took me to a video of yours from two years ago. Wow! You sounded so different!
LOVE glitter and these cards. Have you thought of using the back of the sticker paper and then using a brayer on top of that to add pressure when adding the glitter onto your card? Would that work? Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks!

Glitter Ritz is still available! Just Google it! Love your cards and videos as always!

They are on the list - Spellbinders shears. She also mentioned it in the video.
