This video was filmed in January 2018 before the untimely death of the Founder of Deceim and The Ordinary Brandon Truaxe. My heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends and all who loved him. Long Live The Ordinary. XXX
Omg Gemma just popped on as I am placing an ordinary order and just wanted to check something. So sorry to hear this and 40 is no age. RIP Brandon and condolences to his family ❤️ Xx
I'm watching this 2 years after you posted. 2 questions. 1- did you present them in the order you use them? 2 - Do you still feel the same about these products?
You look absolutely amazing in this video...lip colour, eye colour, great eyebrow work...nothing over the top...perfect subtle shades for a lovely young mom like you ! Brilliant ! 🇨🇦
I am so impressed with this video and the other one that you showed about skin care no one does this well I haven’t seen anyone on UA-cam that does what you do very very happy with your videos thank you so much I appreciate everything that you have shown us keep it up I am 59 years old and I love when you do your moms make up she is such a nice sweet beautiful lady just like you thanks once again 😊❤️
I just discovered your channel about a week ago and have spent hours watching the videos. I am especially interested in the videos with your mother. I am 70 and so excited to learn more about skin care. I have ordered many of The Ordinary products and so looking forward to seeing results. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I just found GEMMA THE GEM about a month ago and have binge-watched and listened and read posts . I am 67 never did skin care until 4 weeks ago when I found this site. I love wolves so I think the name caught me and then the ordinary. I am now trying to figure out how to keep my routine simple because I rewatch the videos and think hmmmmmm maybe I do need that. :-)
Just subscribed to your channel after buying the Ordinary products and I have to thank you for your video - very informative. Maybe you could do an AM and PM routine. Many thanks.
Finally received my lost Sephora order. Gemma, I cannot thank you enough for this video. My skin was already pretty good as I was not a sun worshipper in my youth. However, after using only 2 of the products from The Ordinary, the Lactic acid at night and the Niacinamide in the morning, my skin is very soft. My husband is impressed! Currently, I am waiting on a box directly from The Ordinary with the Matrixyl, the Vitamin B with HA, and Vit C. Thank you so much again! 💖
Thank you for this video. I noticed that a few of us, subscribers, have asked if you could film your morning and evening skin routine. Could you do one using the Ordinary range please? Thank you so much. xxx
Thank you for your reply, to the Toner I mentioned, started to write all this down, your mom is very lucky having you to make her look as great as she does, I’m the same age as your mom & she looks amazing. I’m a novice at all these products & it’s still confusing at my age, but have a good collection around me so here goes, thank you x
Ok! This is the third time I watch your video and the first after buying almost everything you recommend. I went shopping with a long list that included a lot of your videos, spent a lot o money 😬 in makeup, brushes, concealers etc. thank you very much Gemma
I've been using The Ordinary for 20 months, and yours is the best explanation of the usage of each product that I have heard or seen!! Thanks for all this - I could never understand what when with what or why, and now I do. Brilliant products, I have all that you mentioned, except the caffeine and the salicylic, but do also have the Moisturizer, and think that the reason I didn't care for a couple of them is because I was using too much. The Buffet is now blue, btw!
Fiona Frazer oooh really. I ordered more buffet in June and it was still clear. Cant wait to try the new improved one. It sounds very much like Niod copper amino isolate serum. Xxx
6 років тому+1
Pampered Wolf actually the new buffet is little brother from niod and is a great news for us, you know.
Fabulous vid Gemma thank you. I have just received my rather large order and am loving trying the products out. Very chuffed that I found your channel. x
I just watched this video 8 months after you made it and I love it. I looked up the Matixyl shortly after the first time you talked about it. I was amazed at how little it cost and as soon as I get paid I'm getting some. I can't wait to try all these products but will get them one at a time to see how I like them and what they do for me. Once again thank you for introducing me to the ordinary.
I’ve just given my daughter in law 5 of The Ordinary products after using them myself following your advice. I have directed her to this video so here’s hoping she loves as much as I do. Thanks again Gemma, Gx
I come back to this video again and again...you really are a wonderful teacher...please, some time do a video for beginners...suggesting to young persons how to begin / build a regime and save their lovely skin ! 🇨🇦
As I'm aging, I'm finding that I really do need to get my skincare regimen in order. As I haven't tried out this brand, looking at their website after Wayne Goss had recommended a primer of theirs, it was daunting to say the least. I really love the fact that you listed in the order of application, you're saying how to use & how much of which to use & I cannot tell you how helpful your explanation of this is!!! Now I can revisit their website with more confidence, I can actually make purchases & understand how, when & how much to use of what. Thank you!!!! Have a great day today!
Ms ButterFly...I have done the same. I also got a lot of the info you are talking about from Angie at Hot & Flashy as she is over 50, has a chemist dad and has researched the products as well..Very similar to Gemma and with a few tweaks for us older ladies, I am 65, and drier skin issues...and she is on Retin A so that helps with the use of these other products ....IMHO
I found your channel today and already can see how genuine you are especially about the products you use! This video has helped me choose the products I want to get from The Ordinary. Thank you so much!!!
PW you are a 🌟. I've now bought 5 of the items you've recommended, and having watched this video several times and read your replies, I feel well equipped to find my way to good skin. Thank you again 🏆🏆💖💖
Thanks for your explanation of the ordinary products. I was Leary of them because of the prices (too good to be true). After watching your breakdown I stuck with them and love them. I like the no nonsense formulas and lack of fluff products and hype.
I've been using Ordinary products for over a year now and definitely have my favourites. I use with a homemade aloe Vera juice facial mist (from Gothamista) to temper Vitamin C, Lactic Acid and Granactive Retinoid which can be harsh on skin. Have never had any problems. I used to use the Hyaluronic Acid but after quite a bit of research found that it is NOT a product you should use in dry climates because it will pull moisture from your skin rather than from the environment. In a humid environment it works really well because it draws moisture from the air and brings it into your skin.
So delighted I found your channel we have similar skin tone and similar age. Its super helpful!!! Thank you thank you. Will definitely take all your recommendations on board and its great to know what you find good and what foundation colours you are trying, just brilliant. Hello from Ireland 😀
I am a recent subscriber...watched one video about drugstore foundations and I was hooked! Thanks to your video, I am doing my research on The Ordinary products and will be purchasing some soon! Thanks for being so honest and down to earth with your commentary!
Just recently I switched from expensive skin care to The Ordinary. And as you said, they're amazing products and cheap as well. My day skin regimen in order would be: argireline solution 10% then buffet. As for night I would wear argireline solution 10%, buffet then granactive 2% and layer with night cream. After month, I can feel my skin tightening.
Girl📌, um THANK YOU👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 for this video!!! I literally just screen-shot your 'Favorites List' which you put together in the description below, and I ended up purchasing every single freakin' item (other than those products in which I already own myself;) that you had listed. So I just wanted to thank you for such an honest, understanding, yet well informed look into what Ordinary products do what, and what you believe would work best for all!!! 🙆🏼♀️💟💕 And @deciem, you should seriously give this woman some major prop$...😉
I love, love, love ur videos. I love ur personality along with ur very complete informative, honest opinion and review of products. Thank you for what u r doing.
THANK YOU, GEMMA!!! Out of the probably 50 videos I've watched on The Ordinary products, THIS had to be the most clear, concise to the point while incredibly informative down to the 80s toner reference! I appreciate this so much!! If I could give you some kind of credit through their company, I would. For now, liked and subscribed!
I love there stuff, amazing stuff. Wow. Started buying them this summer when I went home to Toronto. I went nuts about it and I’m a skin cream junkie. Love them.
Brilliant video, I ADORE the Ordinary . Have you done an a.m/p.m routine Gemma? That would be so helpful. Many thanks for all the time and effort you make to inform us. You are a sweetheart xx
Absolutely perfect explanation: the package just arrived with your favorite Ordinary products: 100% plant-derived squalane, Granactive Retinoid2% emulsion, Glycolic Acid 7 Toning Solution, Vitamin C Suspension, Hyaluronic Acid 2%+ B5. So excited to try them:))
Thanks so much for this in depth review of these products. I used many of the products you've shown and some are more expensive than the ordinary. I'm going to order several right now.
I bought most of these after this review. I love the metrixal and the 100% squline oil. My skin feels amazing! My neck looks 10 years younger amd now doesnt wrinkle. Blown away! Thanks so much 😘😘😘
Pampered Wolf thanks for the reply 😁 can i ask. I just bought the vit c suspension. Not sure where in skin routine to use this. Currently i use the toner first, then metryxl, then either retinoid at night then the oil. Would i put this on the end or after the toner? Or just on its own. ( Noted the instruction not to use retinoid on the same night 😁👍). Xx
Laura Hulland You’re doing it right. You don’t want to use lots of active ingredients on the same night though. Use the glycolic acid 3 times per week, don’t use it on the nights you use the vitamin c serum, and alternate the retinoid and vitamin c. Hope that makes sense xxx
Pampered Wolf oh man! Id just put on the Glycolic Acid toner and just checked back and saw not to use the vit c. Was looking forward to trying tonight 😂 have you tried Estee Lauder double wear? I've just bought the nude and the original and i find one too dry and one too glowy. I'm mixing them and they are now just right. I was hoping you'd done a review and then i would know if its just me. I loved the dior vs laura mercier review amd im wondering if the dior is better. Its just so expensive tryingnout new Foundation and as im in my 40's i rrally appreciate your reviews as you are not a flawless 20year old but a normal woman. Awesome work! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I heard about The Ordinary only recently and I immediately checked if You have tested it. And there they are, two videos about the brand, both full of advices. Now I know I need those products 😊
Thank you for this informative video. I am just trying The Ordinary products and loved your review! I am a new subscriber and can't wait to see your other videos!
Gemma, I have watched this video several times. I placed an order for the ordinary products. They just came today. I’m going to do some pics of my skin before. And then after to see if I can see the difference. I just love your channel. Thank you for all the work you put into it. ❤️
Watching your videos from way back until now...wow you have changed. Your brows, lashes, teeth, lips...you look glowingly beautiful. Please share what you are doing for you ? Botox, teeth whitening, lash improvers...you just look spectacular ! 🇨🇦
RIP Brandon! On a separate note, it would be interesting to see what you think of the Ordinary makeup products, granted there are only foundation and primer so far. I recently started using the Ordinary products and I like them. I would be interested in adding/replacing my foundation, primer with theirs after my current ones are finished.
Great video, thanks! The reason you’re not supposed to use retinoids during pregnancy is that there’s a lot of research which shows these can lead to the baby having facial abnormalities like cleft palate. Given the risk (and how much research backs this up), I’m really surprised it’s not stated on otc retinoid products!
P.S. I had to laugh at myself when you mentioned vitamin C staining fingernails. Despite normal bloodwork, my yellow-brown nails have been worrying me for months. I knew vitamin C stained other things but never thought it might be behind it! xx
I ordered the foundation last month, and it's just as amazing as their other products. And it goes on like a dream too. Not to cakey, yet not too sheer...and again, it's simply perfect for the price point! I also love their large array of shades, as well as the undertones that it also comes in!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm a new subscriber and I like what I see and hear. I look forward to watching more videos. Can't really say I'd consider you mature, you are in your prime I'd say, I know I was at your age! Great to see a Brit though telling it how it is and with no Americanisms! Xx
Many of her "mature" comments refer to us getting help through her Mum that she brings on the show...And believe me it has been VERY helpful..I am 65...Gemma is seen as helping anyone from 30-70+ very nice..and smart..
I bloody love the Ordinary. I had NEVER stuck to a skincare regime until I discovered The Ordinary. Well, I moisturised everyday and cleaned my face but that's about it. I am convinced that the products I used got rid of 90% of my pustular/bumpy rosacea. ♥️ My fave products: - the Granactive retinoid 2% emulsion - the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% - niacinamide, buffet - marula oil for my hair 😞 The products I couldn't get on with - Resveratrol 3% and Ferulic Acid 3%: greasy base. I don't care if it's good for me. It's just too greasy. Do not like! Why is it turning gritty? - EUK134: Like the resveratrol, I don't agree with the "anhydrous" (water free) solution format. I understand why they didn't put water in it but I can't cope with it. Turns gritty too. Eww. - Vitamin C Suspension 23%: the sting is unbearable. Makes my skin itch too much Azelaic Acid: Itchy Scratchy mess. It feels like I am harming my skin putting this on my skin. Not interested in trying to build my skin to get used to it. The Ascorbyl Solution 12% didn't need any gradual exposure to it. Why suffer? All in all, I am beyond excited to have discovered The Ordinary. My skin has never looked better. The pilling issue I get every morning from using buffet+Niaci+SPF+primer is getting BEYOND tiresome though. I can't bring myself not using a primer :( My foundation goes on so much smoother. xx
Use just one drop of each and you shouldn't get pilling. The pilling is from the products sitting on the surface because you've applied too much product and it can't all sink into the skin. It sits on the surface and forms a little barrier which is what pills off when you apply foundation etc. I had exactly the same problem but as soon as I used less product the problem went away xxx
Hey Pampered Wolf - love you love that there is a you tuber that is roughly my age that loves make up cheers hun. So i am binge watching you and LOVED this post so have gone on and ordered 4 the ordinary products tonight!?!?!?! Wish me luck xx
It was like Christmas today when my Ordinary order arrived. I was able to buy the glycolic toner, which I tried earlier. I had no issues whatsoever, no tingling or anything, I then put the matrixyl, must say, I bought the natural moisturising lotion. Seems nice, very light, but my skin feels a little tacky... (it’s now over 4 hours). Will be interested to see how my makeup goes on when I use it in the morning. This is a whole new regime for me, I’ve never layered product on top of product before. Thanks for the advice!
Pampered Wolf you mentioned pilling on one of your videos (talking about foundation). I had never heard that phrase, but I put. On the serum, then my moisturiser then foundation. I completely understood what pilling was as the makeup deteriorated as I put it on. Learnt that I need to leave a good 10 mins before putting moisturiser on top of a serum 😉
I’m sorry, but I’m very confused on what I should get for under makeup & what to apply at night. I will be 65 years old on the 27th. I have very good skin with no breakouts, not too oily nor too dry. I do have fine lines on my forehead, around my eyes a bit & on my upper lip. From what I think I understand is I may need the Granactive Retinoid at night (?) and I have no idea on what to use under my makeup that won’t peal up! I would like something to help brighten up my under eye area to look refreshed and not drying under makeup. I don’t have baggy eyes nor dark circles. Please help on my first purchase. I am a new subscriber and I enjoy your channel, especially when your beautiful mother is on with you! I have platinum hair color now, as hers is and I only wish I had a daughter like you to help me,as you do! Your both a joy to watch! Thank you from a mom, in a very hot and humid Texas right now! Humidity is probably good for my skin, but very unpleasant when wearing makeup. 😰 but I love wearing a full on glam face when I can. Not crazy over done, but like your mum. 💄🌹
The granactive retinoid is beautiful. I recommend Morning - Buffet/Matrixyl (Use it sparingly 1-2 drops of each does the entire face) + favourite moisturiser if you need it Evening - 2 evenings a week Glycolic Acid 7% + favourite moisturiser 2 evenings a week Vitamin C Cream + favourite moisturiser 3 evenings a week Granactive Retinoid + favourite moisturiser Alternate your evening products evenly. e.g don't use the glycolic acid 2 days running etc. The glycolic acid is your exfoiliator so you can ditch any other exfoliating products in your routine. xxx
I bought the ordinary on amazon for I think 12 I forgot but it was th bundle kit. The cleanser, gel toner and moisturizer and I’ve used it for the past 4 days and it is great. I would definitely buy it again once it’s gone.
I truly appreciated your The Ordinary review. I only recently heard about this company and their amazing products. I went online, but I needed more information on how the products performed on real people and I saw your review thanks. I did see your wonderful derma-roller review; it's one the best. I haven't purchased any of The Ordinary products because I spent over $300.00 for Drunk Elephant products, yes I will purchase The Ordinary after I use up all of my Drunk Elephant. Can I use DE Firma C serum after derma roller?
Hi Gemma I have bought a range for me , I have been using noe for three months, I just noticed dr Davin lim a cosmetic doctor in Australia has been and has a video on his channel about the ordinary range and yes he uses it too because he loves it !
Thanks for this video, I’ve wanted to try all the ordinary products but was just too confused 😖 I have now bought all the products you’ve mentioned and I’m going to give them a try,. Added bonus ASOS have 20% student discount at the moment 🙌🏻
Pampered Wolf I’ve been using these products for over a week now and the first few days my skin was glowing but now I’ve had really bad breakouts and my skin is dry. Do you use any moisturisers with this and did your skin break out? X
I just bought the 7% glycolic acid, the azelaic acid and another i can’t remember the name of lol. but they’re all for fading skin marks so I hope they work!
I am going it give the vitamin c another go. I had the same experience with it, it made my skin burn and I stopped using after a few applications and I thought my skin was sensitive.
Based on this video I ordered Caffeine Solution 5% +EGCG; Matrixyl 10% + HA; and Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. They just arrived today and I excited to try. My plan is Caffeine in the morning, Matrixyl both morning and night, and the Granactive at night. Hope that sounds like a good plan and thanks so much for sharing these videos with us. You have quickly become one of my absolute favorites!!!! Love ya from the U.S.
Hello again!!!! Recently I heard about the ordinary and yesterday I went on and purchase a couple of things. AND TODAY I saw this video! So, some of the products I got you explain on the video but this video suits me just great cause there's a lot of things that I was hesitant of because I have very dry an sensitive skin and I have to stay away from lots of acids and products that hurt my skin. BUT I'll keep in mind your recommendations of "few drops go along way". Also I chose ordinary because is Vegan and I have found that vegan products are just great for my sensitive skin. PS. Looks like I should start binge watching your vids! Hugs from Seattle 💕
Hi 👋 I’m so glad I came across your channel .... I love your honesty and depth of knowledge regarding skin issues. I myself have suffered acne since my early 20s , I’m now 42 years young and have scaring and uneven skin tone . I have bought some of the ordinary products afte r watching your video hoping to claim back my face ! Is the martryxl safe to apply under my eyes as I do suffer loss of volume there which leaves the under eye a bit craipy ? X
A very informative watch 🙂 you said the caffeine solution can be drying and there’s an oil you use which you’d get to later in the video but I never heard you mention using any of the other products on the eye area. Can you let me know what product you meant please?
I realize this video was posted almost 2 years ago. However what is your nail color? I love it and your hands are so pretty with it. I’m hopeful the color is still available. Thanks for the Ordinary review. I’m just starting my collection as it’s now available in the U.S.A. Yay!
-Does the zinc in niacinamide darken skin? -Is mateixyl and hyaluronic acid good for oil skin? -is the glycolic acid toner for sensitive and oily skin? -Do any of the products contain witchazel? Thank you
Hello, just subscribed and I love your videos!! I want to try the Ordinary but I am a little confused on what I can use together. I can use the caffeine and matrixyl together in the am correct? And then I'm confused on how to use the Glycolic, retinoid and Vit C? Which ones can be used together and how often do I use them per week? I saw a message that you said don't use glycolic with the others and to use it 2-3x per week but then someone mentioned you shouldn't use the retinoid and Vit C together either?
Neither the Vit C, retinoid or Glycolic should be used together. Alternate nights using them, or use the vitamin C in the morning and one of the others at night xxx
Hello, I like your routine! But be careful with applying buffet or niacinamide. They do not react really well with Salicylic Acid. Just make sure that it is completely dry and applied.
Just subscribed and love all your videos. Definitely would love to try these products. My question is in regards to sun spot damage on my face. I had a one time extremely bad sunburn which left my face with fairly large dark spots. I've never been one to wear makeup, so the spots always stand out, which I hate. Which product or products would you suggest? Keep in mind that I work in the sun quite often and sweat a lot. Also, I live in the southern most part of the US where it's very very humid and our only seasons are summer and winter. Thank you in advance.
Hi skfanforever, There's a few products which will help reduce the appearance of your sun damage. Vitamin C Cream Niacinamide Alpha Arbutin You need to use the Niacinamide in the morning. The Alpha Arbutin I would also apply in the morning but only apply to the spots themselves The vitamin C Cream is for your night time routine. You should see great results with these. I would also get the Retinoid (possibly 2% emulsion) It's a lovely product. You would need to alternate evening when you use this product, so one night use the Vitamin C Cream and the next night use the Retinoid etc. With regards to foundations (I didn't know whether you wanted advice on this or not) I would go for IT Cosmetics CC Cream. It has an SPF of 50 built into it. You don't get the full effects of the factor 50 as you're not going to apply enough product, but it will give you better protection than a foundation with factor 15 in it. I would always recommend using a sunscreen beneath your foundation also. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder is also great and will mattify your skin on those really humid days. Hope this helps xxx
Pampered Wolf Wow, thank you you so much for all that helpful info. I actually watched your video on the CC foundations last night after watching this one. I immediately decided that I would order it because according to your description of it, I felt pretty confident that it would be the best product to try. Once again, thank you for all your help and especially for responding back so quickly. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my results. Till then..... your faithful watcher from New Orleans!
Been using a couple of products from The Ordinary for almost a year now but loved this video! Got a lot of great advice and will definitely get more products and try this out. But, I still would like to know in which order you recommend using them
Great video and so helpful. I love The Ordinary for the quality and the price. Unrelated, can you tell me what nail polish/shade you have on? Thank you so much.
I personally don't really like the oil products from The Ordinary, probably because it's too humid and warm here in Taipei so the oil feels too heavy on the skin... 😭 But I do like their alpha arbutin essence very much! ❤️
Your videos are so helpful. I love your Channel. I been using Ordinary since I watched your video and I love them. But I notice you didn't list the Moisturizing. Is there a reason why?
hi Gem, what would you recommend for a cleanser, I am currently using wipes but they somehow don't feel 'enough', if you know what I mean, and they tend to tug at my aging old face BTW your skin looks amazing in this video, you are an excellent ambassador for The Ordinary. Love and hugs B x
Thank you Brenda, I like the cleanser from CeraVe and also the cleansing oil from Simple. They are both lovely, cost effective and don't drag the skin xxx
My God your skin is beautiful!!!!!!!
How can I make order for these products?
You did not say anything about the order, when and which serum to use morning or evening
This is the best video explaining using The Ordinary I’ve ever seen. New subscriber.
Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack xxx
Thank you for giving me an understanding of each product and a morning and nightime schedule.
Hi from. Orlando USA . Excellent video a lot of knowledge. Help me a lot. Thank you. Love your videos. 👋🤗
Pampered Wolf actually the new buffet is little brother from niod and is a great news for us, you know.
Wow! That was so much info. I'm going to watch it again and take notes!
Ahhh... the joys of 80s toners. Remember that feeling well!
Lol! Sea Breeze here I come!
Fabulous vid Gemma thank you. I have just received my rather large order and am loving trying the products out. Very chuffed that I found your channel. x

I’ve just given my daughter in law 5 of The Ordinary products after using them myself following your advice. I have directed her to this video so here’s hoping she loves as much as I do. Thanks again Gemma, Gx

Really great info. Glad to know I’m using most of your favourites. Going to try a few that I don’t have
As I'm aging, I'm finding that I really do need to get my skincare regimen in order.
I found that very interesting. I would love to get my hands on some of there products! Thank you for explaining so well
PW you are a 🌟. I've now bought 5 of the items you've recommended, and having watched this video several times and read your replies, I feel well equipped to find my way to good skin. Thank you again 🏆🏆💖💖
I just ordered all of these products, I hope I look just as great as you do. Thank you
Hi Kris. Please let me know how you get on with them. xxx
Sure will, Thank you.
Good video. Great sales person. Obviously an ORDINARY promotion agent. !!!!
So delighted I found your channel we have similar skin tone and similar age. Its super helpful!!! Thank you thank you. Will definitely take all your recommendations on board and its great to know what you find good and what foundation colours you are trying, just brilliant. Hello from Ireland 😀
Hi Olivia, I’m so glad you’ve found me too. Thank you for your comment x x x
I am a recent subscriber...watched one video about drugstore foundations and I was hooked! Thanks to your video, I am doing my research on The Ordinary products and will be purchasing some soon! Thanks for being so honest and down to earth with your commentary!
What you bought finally
Thank you for all ur very much needed information as I really do appreciate it love ur channel
I never thought I’d see someone who has more ordinary products than me 😂😂
Girl📌, um THANK YOU👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 for this video!!!
Love the nail colour👍🏻💅🏻
Thankyou!!! Never used this brand before, so this video was very helpful!!xxx
Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack Krissy xxx
This is so helpful I was looking online at their products and trying to navigate it all.
thank you for the information on these products very interesting.
I love there stuff, amazing stuff. Wow. Started buying them this summer when I went home to Toronto. I went nuts about it and I’m a skin cream junkie. Love them.
So many products I wouldn’t know where to start what to buy or not lol x
I agree. I just went to their website. More confused than ever. Looking to get rid of my dark circles.
Littlebean03 Get the caffeine serum :)
Thank-you...you explained everything very clear and easy to understand!
Brilliant video, I ADORE the Ordinary . Have you done an a.m/p.m routine Gemma? That would be so helpful. Many thanks for all the time and effort you make to inform us. You are a sweetheart xx
Love the ordinary I use it!
Absolutely perfect explanation: the package just arrived with your favorite Ordinary products: 100% plant-derived squalane, Granactive Retinoid2% emulsion, Glycolic Acid 7 Toning Solution, Vitamin C Suspension, Hyaluronic Acid 2%+ B5. So excited to try them:))
Wow! Make sure you update me with the results xxxx
Your skin looks gorgeous! Thank you for the comprehensive review
Thanks so much for this in depth review of these products. I used many of the products you've shown and some are more expensive than the ordinary. I'm going to order several right now.
Please do an updated version of The Ordinary skincare please, plus the new hair serum too please x
Yes please!!!
I bought most of these after this review. I love the metrixal and the 100% squline oil. My skin feels amazing! My neck looks 10 years younger amd now doesnt wrinkle. Blown away! Thanks so much 😘😘😘
Laura Hulland So glad these products have worked for you. 😁 xxx
Xx
Just seen that you put them in the order to use them. 😁
Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack Lynne xxx
Gemma, I have watched this video several times. I placed an order for the ordinary products. They just came today. I’m going to do some pics of my skin before. And then after to see if I can see the difference. I just love your channel. Thank you for all the work you put into it. ❤️
Sheryl Holder So...how did it go? :)
Me to Karen. Thank you for this. xxx
P.S. I had to laugh at myself when you mentioned vitamin C staining fingernails. Despite normal bloodwork, my yellow-brown nails have been worrying me for months. I knew vitamin C stained other things but never thought it might be behind it! xx
Would love to see a review on the ordinary company foundation??
♥️ My fave products:
- the Granactive retinoid 2% emulsion
- the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%
- niacinamide, buffet
- marula oil for my hair
😞 The products I couldn't get on with
- Resveratrol 3% and Ferulic Acid 3%: greasy base.
Makes my skin itch too much
Azelaic Acid: Itchy Scratchy mess.
I've never tried this brand before!
Well worth a try! Especially for the price. x
This was very helpful, thankyou...
Hey Pampered Wolf - love you love that there is a you tuber that is roughly my age that loves make up cheers hun. So i am binge watching you and LOVED this post so have gone on and ordered 4 the ordinary products tonight!?!?!?! Wish me luck xx
Hi Gemma, I was wondering if you have ever used the Ordinary Serum Foundation, I'd love a review of that too please. xx
niaciamide is my forever holy grail (oil factory manager)
It was like Christmas today when my Ordinary order arrived. I was able to buy the glycolic toner, which I tried earlier. I had no issues whatsoever, no tingling or anything, I then put the matrixyl, must say, I bought the natural moisturising lotion. Seems nice, very light, but my skin feels a little tacky... (it’s now over 4 hours). Will be interested to see how my makeup goes on when I use it in the morning. This is a whole new regime for me, I’ve never layered product on top of product before. Thanks for the advice!
Remember to use only a couple of drops of each. A little goes a long way xxx
I recommend
Morning - Buffet/Matrixyl (Use it sparingly 1-2 drops of each does the entire face) + favourite moisturiser if you need it
Evening -
2 evenings a week Glycolic Acid 7% + favourite moisturiser
2 evenings a week Vitamin C Cream + favourite moisturiser
3 evenings a week Granactive Retinoid + favourite moisturiser
Alternate your evening products evenly. e.g don't use the glycolic acid 2 days running etc.
Love your channel! Thx for the quick reply❤️
Thank you so much for this video .....thank you lots .
Hi Gemma I have bought a range for me , I have been using noe for three months, I just noticed dr Davin lim a cosmetic doctor in Australia has been and has a video on his channel about the ordinary range and yes he uses it too because he loves it !
Thank you very much. Video is very very useful.
Thanks for this video, I’ve wanted to try all the ordinary products but was just too confused 😖 I have now bought all the products you’ve mentioned and I’m going to give them a try,. Added bonus ASOS have 20% student discount at the moment 🙌🏻
Result! 20% off is amazing xxx
Golden B did they work???
This video was super helpful!
Can you plz put links to products . Live your videos , very informative.
most if not all are on Amazon..at lease in US
I am going it give the vitamin c another go. I had the same experience with it, it made my skin burn and I stopped using after a few applications and I thought my skin was sensitive.
Omg I love your videos and your mom is so sweet xoxox
Thank God for The Ordinary 🙏🏻
Based on this video I ordered Caffeine Solution 5% +EGCG; Matrixyl 10% + HA; and Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. They just arrived today and I excited to try. My plan is Caffeine in the morning, Matrixyl both morning and night, and the Granactive at night. Hope that sounds like a good plan and thanks so much for sharing these videos with us. You have quickly become one of my absolute favorites!!!! Love ya from the U.S.
Let me know how you get on Patti xxx
Hi Gaby, I've always wanted to visit Seattle. It looks lovely. I guess my romantic streak watching Sleepless in Seattle rubbed off. xxx
Matrixyl will be great for under the eye Amanda. I use it ALL THE TIME. I've also found it makes my eyelashes longer. xxx
Pampered Wolf
Thank you , don’t suppose you have any tips on how to tackle facial spider veins diminish or cover? 😁x
A very informative watch 🙂 you said the caffeine solution can be drying and there’s an oil you use which you’d get to later in the video but I never heard you mention using any of the other products on the eye area. Can you let me know what product you meant please?
Squalane is extremely hydration and nourishing Julie. xxx
I'd love to see an updated version of this video. Also, what mascara are you wearing? Your lashes look gorgeous!
Hi Heather....absolutely no idea what mascara I'm wearing. This was filmed such a long time ago I'm afraid xxx
@@PamperedWolf what is your favorite mascara?
I realize this video was posted almost 2 years ago. However what is your nail color? I love it and your hands are so pretty with it. I’m hopeful the color is still available. Thanks for the Ordinary review. I’m just starting my collection as it’s now available in the U.S.A. Yay!
Hi Constance, so sorry but I can't remember xxx
-Does the zinc in niacinamide darken skin?
-Is mateixyl and hyaluronic acid good for oil skin?
-is the glycolic acid toner for sensitive and oily skin?
-Do any of the products contain witchazel?
Thank you
I am buying some today. But they are a bit expensive in Norway.
Where in Norway did you bought yours i bought at lyco
V informative thanks👌
Great information ❤️
Don’t use retinoids or bit c on the same day!
Hi skfanforever,
There's a few products which will help reduce the appearance of your sun damage.
Vitamin C Cream
Niacinamide
Alpha Arbutin
You need to use the Niacinamide in the morning.
The Alpha Arbutin I would also apply in the morning but only apply to the spots themselves
The vitamin C Cream is for your night time routine.
Pampered Wolf
Wow, thank you you so much for all that helpful info.
But, I still would like to know in which order you recommend using them
That info is in the description box Philippa xxx
@@PamperedWolf I never got that that was the order, but thanks!
Great video and so helpful. I love The Ordinary for the quality and the price. Unrelated, can you tell me what nail polish/shade you have on? Thank you so much.
This was filmed over 2 years ago Trudy. No idea xxx
My skin didn't need it at the time as it was quite oily xxx
hi Gem, what would you recommend for a cleanser, I am currently using wipes but they somehow don't feel 'enough', if you know what I mean, and they tend to tug at my aging old face BTW your skin looks amazing in this video, you are an excellent ambassador for The Ordinary. Love and hugs B x
Thank you Brenda, I like the cleanser from CeraVe and also the cleansing oil from Simple. They are both lovely, cost effective and don't drag the skin xxx
Love 💗 The Ordinary!! Thanks for this video, I’ve picked up some new products to tryout 😊
Extremely helpful 🎉🎉TFS
