Exploring Reiter State Forest with Mammoth Overland

- We take five Mammoth Overland Trailers off road to test its off road capabilities. Overland trailers present unique challenges while overland camping off roading. This was an interesting outing because we got to see the trailer behind 5 different Off Road vehicles including a Ford Raptor, Toyota Tacoma, Land Rover, and two different Jeeps. We used a Hi Lift Jack to assist the trailer out of a sticky situation.

Woodinville is my old home town… gosh I miss that place….. I remember back in the day going to Reiter all the time cause there was so much to do outdoors there… Great video 👍

It is deffinitly getting more popular. It can be really fun and it's great when you get to a remote destination and you have all the amenities with you.

I LOVE my mammoth! Super capable and I’ve been able to slowly push the limits with it more and more each time out. Need to get that new heater though

Sweet, looks like the Mammoth can use some plating so the trailer doesn't get hung up on the cross members. That Land Rover can definitely use some lockers.

Looks like the trailer needs at least 33’s to keep from being an anchor on most obstacles! And it looks like it doesn’t have enough clearance to really be good for offroad.
Funny that as you are talking about being a pro, the camera is focused on the steering wheel. :) I agree with you though that you do a good job, keep the right focus, and tell a story. I consider you a pro and an interesting channel.

you poor guys, the only trail you guys had a chance on with those would have been just the gravel roads. reiter is set up to challenge trail rigs. those look like awesome base camp trailers while running forest service roads to camp and then setting out on trails with the rigs with out the trailers.
Yeah they are awesome for Basecamp. I drug one through some trails in New Mexico and it rode pretty good but there isn't a ton of suspension travel.
For some reason the last couple weeks I've had to go to your channel (usually from seeing a short post) in order to see your videos instead of them popping up automatically. Don't know if it's the algorithm or what...anyway all good I made it!

I'm in the market but several things have kept me from considering them. If you're in the rear galley during rain, it would appear the hatch design would let water through at the hinge. The other thing I'm unsure about is the winter-ability of it. With the exposed hoses in the rear, seems like its better suited for 3-seasons. Perhaps an owner could set me straight...?
So is just me or did any one else cringe with ole boy hand on the winch with no leather gloves

Fair enough. Most of these dudes aren't into wheeling, but they build these trailers and they are good dudes. I hadn't been there since it had been shut down. It was really official and groomed. I'd like to take my crawler there though there's probably some really cool stuff
Yeah I quit riding my dirt bike at Reiter Pit when they closed it years ago, it was a bummer as it was the last close place to ride the other cool place that was closed is Sultan Basin, have you been up to Spada Lake? It's beautiful up there.
