A fantastic job, Martin, another 60s vehicle brought back to life, looking forward to seeing your next restoration, all the best to you and your family.
looks like you had a field day with this field kitchen... also interesting what details and things they put onto a mere toy even more that they added a field kitchen to the playground instead of only panzers and trucks and whatnot. looks like Corgi really cared for these soldiers. :)
Nice job 👍 corgi got their money's worth out of that casting rightfully so it's a lovely model . I still see them all.as an ice cream van though. I think it's the vent grills that are on them .
Yes thay certainly did get there moneys worth ,and the ice cream van is the more common one seen . The glass is a bit fragile handle with care . All the best Martin
Good job Martin. Funny at the end it looked more gray than green on the magic roundabout. I thought you were going to say about the tube of glue. Lol. Cheers Graham
Cheers, Graham, yes, it did look a bit grey. It was too much lighting in the booth. The glue is a rubber type, it holds the peice in place well it take a couple of minutes to set ,and can be a bit stringy,,all the best Martin
Not seen one of these in a while, Martin: good casting with lots of detail. Almost a shame to be in Drab when you could make so much of the small details present. Nice finish from the Halford's paint and a bloody brilliant frying pan! Terrific result, especially with the doctored decals! The B7000 is good stuff, stringy, yes, but pretty strong. I love how you can still admit to getting it wrong (on the front post): it is so important for all of us oldoes and newbies, so see that there can be the same problems for all of us. Inspiring video!
Thanks Fraser, yes that glue is definitely a keeper, post blowing should be an art form 🤣🤣 . The ice cream version let's you bring out all the details . All the best Martin
Great job Martin, that paint is good I bought some when I was over on holiday in June, I must get some more this time, unfortunate with the rivet post, as you say it happens from time to time, done my share of blowing the posts out, great repair on the chef, all in all another lovely restoration 👌👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Thanks nick ,yes it is a good paint it does show up a lighter colour on camera, enjoy your holiday, and I know you won't speed too much 🤣🤣 all the best Martin
A neat diecast Martin, I’ll bet the food was better than rations 😆😁😀. The sanding of the Decals certainly made them seat better to the paint, great detail on the chief 👍,looks beautifully done😉👍. My father in law worked construction for 40+years, he use to call Food Trucks (Roach Coaches)😆😁😉, great job my friend, you take care.
I've never seen one of these, it is such a cool Corgi toy! The big side windows are really cool. Body and paint looks great as well as stickers. Good idea 💡 sanding stickers. Tiny frying pan so cute, little guy really cool. Turned out super nice, you do such awesome work my friend! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 😎👍👍👏
Great job Martin 😊 love the interior and cookie ready to rustle up some pancakes and hash browns 😂. Nice work on the paint and decals. All the best to you. Cheers Chris 🇦🇺🏁👍🏼🤩 PS if you or anyone watching the channel has a lead on a canopy for a “Britains Austin Champ” I have funds to purchase 💰💰
This was the only Karrier van I didn't have to complete the set which you now have. Works on the same principle as the ice cream van. The only nice ones I ever found were too expensive. Looking forward to this one. Nice job, but then again you have the magic touch. Actually, the way round you have the star on the roof, it's a pentagram. If it was the other way round, it would not be good at all!
Great work mate, I've never seen this army one before. I have got the ice cream one in my box of cars. It's great the parts are interchangeable. I'm putting up the Christmas decorations tomorrow, hopping to put the tree up in the middle of my flying Scotsman train set so that should be fun. The drab green paint looks a bit grey on the laptop. Catch you on the next one mate. 👍🏻
Thanks Geoff, yes the paint does look a bit grey in the light box ,to much light me thinks 🤔, have fun with the tree , and the train ,and don't forget your supposed to decorate the tree ,and not spend time playing with the trains 🤣🤣🤣
Different one that mate turned out well. I know what you mean about the stickers I hate having to use them occasionally you can't beat a good waterslide decal
Another corgi saved by the master. Corgi liked to get there money's worth out of there castings and this army field kitchen is no exception. Keith Floyd is all ready for some tossing now you have fixed the pan😂🧑🍳. The only thing is that the Army camo comes across on screen as grey primer is it a bit more green in real life.? I'm after a smiths mister softie ice cream van Martin in good condition so if you could ask around for me please.👍
Cheers Ian yes unfortunately the lights were a bit to bright for the colour, it's a good casting especially with the rotating man in side . All the best Martin
Very nice, Martin. I think there is one of these for auction here in Canada, somewhere. Unless it's local, I won't bid because of our postal strike. Who knows when I would get it.
Always love a diecast with a little person included. Great attention to detail with the added frying pan in his hand!
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated

🤣🤣 cheers Lothar, yes it was a bit different, but it made good use of an already used casting, the turning man, us a good feature.

Original idea. Mr softee without the cone. Cooking all that hot food melted it
Cheers Ian 🍻
Different one that mate turned out well. I know what you mean about the stickers I hate having to use them occasionally you can't beat a good waterslide decal
Thanks nigel, Warter slide are definitely better without a doubt.

It not a good time for a postal strike 😕, it's a nice casting. Hopefullyyou can get one .
All the best Martin
That should be a corgi Mr softie ice cream van
Yes corgi did 2 versions, and have both of them ,all the best Martin
A bit of alright Sarg, So what's on the menu gov. Cheers JV
Cheers, JV ,we have fried bully beef and beans , 🤣 all the best Martin
Nice kitchen - was he selling ice creams a few weeks ago ?
No Andy, this is the original army version , the man broke his frying pan so I had to make one
Since when did the US army have commer/carrier ice cream vans turned into a field kitchen I can tell you never
Thanks very much my friend, but iam afraid corgi toys made that decision years ago ,it's obviously fictional.
All the best Martin
