Since I'm from Hong Kong, I thought I'd address some of the curiosities raised in this video: 1. The numbers and colours on the metro signage are a relic from the MTR network's simpler days, when there were only 2-3 lines. In fact, the colour is what represents the line, and the numbers are only the platform numbers which differ from station to station. With so many lines today, there are too many colours to make the signage intuitive. 2. Underwater tunnels--for aesthetic and climate reasons, there are no bridges across Hong Kong's main harbour. So there are 3 road tunnels and 4 railway tunnels running underneath. In this video, you crossed the harbour between Tsim Sha Tsui and Admiralty. The tunnels are built with one of two methods: Prefab concrete tube sections sunk and then sealed, or tunnel boring machines. 3. The quick-moving crowds at the Peak Tram station are the result of a major renovation which completely shut down the Tram service for a year and a half. Before 2022, the stations and the train cars were smaller and the queues ALWAYS stretched far outside, which meant it was bloody living hell to get into during the humid summers. The difference is night and day as you saw. 4. The British-looking taxi (Toyota Comfort Hybrid) is a much needed replacement for the older taxis, which date back to the early 1990s and are not up to modern safety standards. The new ones started appearing in 2018 and will steadily replace all older taxis. They look like London taxis because of the extra-tall cabin. But unlike London taxis, these babies have got sliding doors! 5. Bamboo scaffolding--the climate and pace of construction work in Hong Kong lend well to this cheaper and more flexible method of scaffolding. Since bamboo is an organic material, it does decay and cannot withstand very cold temperatures. So, it works great in tropical climates, and assuming proper care over time. 6. Worn-looking buildings are primarily due to pollution exacerbated by humidity, and the fact that postwar tenements were very basic without facilities to maintain the exteriors. Surfaces were either bare concrete, paint or tile, all of which are rough and easily trap contaminants. In the early 2010s, the government financed a one-time exterior refresh of older buildings. Trust me--they looked even worse before 🤣 If you haven't noticed, I'm a bit of an infrastructure geek 😏 Hope it's at least somewhat useful.

The signs for “Subway” you presumably saw don’t actually go to the MTR (what the metro is called, short for mass transit rail), but instead go to underground crossings of major roads that do not have on-road crossings 2. The Mid-Levels escalator actually goes both up and down. It goes down in the morning to get people from the residential area of Mid-Levels to the financial hub of Central, then switches direction to up sometime in the afternoon to bring people back home after work 3. The restaurant you went to does not have a Michelin star, that is on a whole different level of prestige. What you went to is on the Michelin guide, which are restaurants Michelin recommends, but are completely different from Michelin stars. There are only a few Michelin star restaurants in Hong Kong and they are all super fancy and expensive, to my knowledge. Anyways, great video, I really hope you enjoy Hong Kong!

I think strictly from a business perspective, the MTR is incentivised to expand. It gets property rights at multiple locations on new lines, so it doesn’t even need to wait for its railway operating profit to slowly recoup the design, procurement and construction costs of expansion. The mere sale of residential flats will more than feed the project. I think that’s a big reason why the MTR can expand aggressively in such a developed, saturated city.

Instead of using the MTR for traveling from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island you can also take the star ferry. It's very cheap and it's fun. Regarding the Michelin star restaurant... You can ask for recommendations. Maybe they specialised in other things than you ordered.
Pineapple buns are called that not because there's any pineapples inside but because the original pineapple buns had a cracked crust topping that resemble a pineapple skin texture. The one you guys got didn't really have that cracked top crust so nothing pineapple about it. 😂
@@taktaiwilmashum8863yes over time people got bored with just the bun and started modifying it. Some even stuff pineapple inside with cream to make it more pineapple. I've even seen chocolate and coffee flavored ones. I prefer just the classic one with milk tea.
The pineapple bun they got from that big chain shop is not that yummy. The smaller owner-bakeries taste much better - which you can find easily cos the HK kids eat bread buns a lot as they have to rush off to lessons :( after school.
Thank you for visiting our amazing city! And just an fyi, the Mid-Levels escalator does actually travel downwards but only in the mornings from 6am to transfer residents to Central. Just before 10am they get switched to the opposite direction to carry passengers back uphill till Midnight.
Hong Kong is such a beautiful and amazing part of China. I would very much like to visit all of China and see all of the amazing cities and nature the country has to offer! Love China, from Denmark 🇨🇳❤🇩🇰

First of all, Happy New Year to you guys. My late mother used to work in HK in the year 1960s and that's where she learns speaking Cantonese (we are Fuzhou from Sarawak East Malaysia) and still able to speak the same though did not use it for decades already when she visited KL.
Jacky Cheung is the singer of mandarin song "Goodbye Kiss", which is the original version of "Take me to your heart" of Michael Learns to Rock. He's one of biggest singers in the Chinese society during 90's.
Hong Kong always reminded me of Rio too (from the pictures, I haven't been there yet)! It's the tall, green mountains with lots of tall buildings crammed closed to the shore, it makes for a dramatic landscape.
It looks like you guys didn’t do much preparation for the trip. No, pineapple buns typically don’t contain pineapples (although some places put them in as a novelty). Yes, there is sun in HK winters. Yes, the term “subway” is used, but it does not refer to the MTR train. It actually refers to the underground walkway.
As a Hong Konger, what I think you truly missed out on was Hong Kong’s nightlife. For example visiting Victoria dockside , the Peak by tram is truly a complete different experience at night. It is also known as how Hong Kong is a city that never sleeps. Going out the outdoor escalator at night in Soho or going to Lan Kwai Fong for a drink to experience Hong Kong’s nightlife culture would be an unforgettable experience.
Ugh I was just in HK at the tail end of the pandemic and LKF was still not as hopping as usual. I used to live there and need to make my way back again.
It's good to visit the Peak towards the end of the day, catching the day time view - but also the nighttime view with the lights. The view from Lugard Road is fab. You can take a bus up to the Peak also and skip the tram. Though the tram itself is cool - a pity you weren't impressed 😅 The MacDonald's on the Peak has a fab view also from their outside decking, funnily enough! Fun to see you guys enjoying Hong Kong. And yes, the escalator goes down in the morning and up after 10am I think it is, until midnight. There are also different paths down from the Peak, all good in their own way. And cool to climb up even further to High West or the Peak Gardens. Lots to do up there! 👏👏👏
Watching this video brings back a lot of good memories I have from Hong Kong. It's such a great city! Can't wait to go back myself. And who would have thought you can see wild boars in a city like Hong Kong 😳😄
the escalators actually go downhill in the morning so that it's more convenient for commuters to get to their offices! then the direction changes for the rest of the day since walking uphill is super tiring :)
The escalators are mainly for the people who live on the hill... The escalators start going down when people go to work in the morning and the escalators start to go up when people to go up the hill in the late afternoon
Victoria Harbour - that area that you called a river…is part of the ocean…it’s not a river. You were looking at Hong Kong Island…an island at the edge of the mainland…next to the South China Sea. I love Hong Kong…was there in 2019. And, the the Central Mid-level escalator switches direction depending on the time of day. It goes down in the morning, when most residents are going to their jobs in the business districts.
Appreciate your comments "Hk has more character"we still have sth unique signature things if compared to others' city, and your comment also reflects that you can discover the unique culture in hk .
Welcome to HK! Your comments about the food are fair. As a HKer, I also think there is nothing special about the pineapple bun and wonton noodle place.
Hong Kong's climate is pleasant in the winter, albeit often cloudy. From spring to fall though, it's often swelteringly hot and humid. And there are the monsoons!
菠萝包 Pineapple bun can be very delicious, you just did not find the best ones... it's very popular not only in HK, but also the whole Guangdong province.
Hong Kong is a very nice and lovely place to visit. As for the best people who queue, you cannot beat the Taiwanese. Once, when I was in Taiwan night market where there are many food stalls, I stood away from the crowd to smoke a cigarette (my bad habit), someone actually start to queue up behind me and I had to tell him that the queue was the other side. Hahaha. Taiwan is another really beautiful place to visit if you had not been there. Cheers.
Subway signs in Hong Kong mean - underground tunnel NOT subway as in underground. If you want to visit Macau, I'm happy to be you guide. I'm a Canadian born Chinese who has lived in Macau for 40+ years.
@@canto_v12 Subway = subterranean way aka an underground passage. I think it's only in North America where subway means the actual underground transit system.
The same thing applies in the UK. A subway is an underground walkway, usually under a busy road or road junction. In London, overseas visitors will often follow a subway sign expecting to find the entrance to an Underground/Tube station! That said, there sometimes is actually an entrance to the Tube in a subway, causing people to falsely believe that we do refer to the Tube as a subway when we actually don't! To further confuse matters, the underground railway system in Glasgow is actually known as the Glasgow Subway. 😖
Steve..you are simply amazing from the time you first visited Malaysia with Farrell and trying new things..suddenly to hear Steve mention Jacky Chan, Jacky Cheung ... wow for a Canadian
Somehow UA-cam recommended this video to me and as a HKPR here it is nice to see your perspectives of my beloved city. Both of you are such lovely travellers with a positive mindset and I like it that both of you are just very open-minded about everything. And yes the Peak Tram is definitely overpriced and overcrowded haha. I live in mid-levels and I exercise to the peak with proper shoes, sorry that your foot is hurting! HK is just a very chaotic city full of contradictions and that’s what I love about this city. And yes, the Michelin Wanton Mee you ate is just average really 😂. Come back HK soon!
Hong Kong does have some topographic similarity to Rio de Janeiro, but socially it is another dimension. It does not show the inequalities seen in Rio. The absence of a slavery past may explain the main reason for that.
I live in HK and have done so for the past 37 years. Most visitors to HK don’t realize that statistically 75% of HK is national park and undeveloped. I live in the New Territories where it is far less densely populated and more rural. The areas where most tourist see (North side of Hong Kong Island, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon etc) are essentially the city areas of HK, which are the most densely populated, the same as most other big cities. If you head South Side HKI, to Lantau or to the New Territories, you will see a very different side to the city.

I remember arriving in Hong Kong for the first time in 2008. I was mind blown as well. My family’s from Indonesia too! Thanks for sharing your trip to Hong Kong ^^
The peak tram is on it's 6th generation, even just a few years ago the cars were comparatively more crowded and cramped than it is now. Go in the morning, when i went a few days ago, the tram was less than half full, and there was no queue. Prebuy the ticket online, it was only 112HKD for a round trip and sky terrace included. The views from the sky terrace are so much better than any "free" view outside, having experienced both. After living in HK for a while, it does lose it's appeal, there are pros and cons of living in big cities.
Agreed, you need to reset your expectations to live in HK long term. If you want a convenient location, the flats are tiny. And Hong Kong is not known for “customer service.” It’s easy to lose sight of all the good things and get frustrated with the bad 😅
#JetFam You have gone to most tourist attractions expect the Ocean Park, which I do NOT really recommend but it's a very well known attraction after all. From the last video about the supermarket, I can tell you are staying in Jordan District near Austin Road. Near there, Hillwood Road is very known by the local for restaurants and bars. About 75m further south, there is Knotsford Terrance, a street full with restaurants and bars too, many are located in the high raise buildings. Then this is Sai Kung, it's famous for sea food restaurant and the pier, but be aware the price, and there's not much to do other than then. So rather it's a recommend but a NOT recommend. Lastly, there is Repulse Bay Beach and Stanley. Basically the southern part of the Hong Kong Island. The view is great if you take to bus from Central (the bus stop is under Exchange Square). There is two bus routes, one take the Aberdeen Tunnel (6a) and the other (6) goes through the hill, lot of winding road. The routes join around Deep Water Bay. Form there, great view to the Pacific Ocean.Stanley used to be an attraction back then, lot of English speaking bars and restaurants. And take right side on upper deck of the bus for best viewing. Bring plastic bags if you prompt to car sick. It could be a ride all by it own. Pun intended, especally the No. 6 route. One other thing, the Michelin Stared noodle place has a store on Temple Street near Austin Road, It's not bad, I visit a lot. But the good two are on Parkes Street called 麥文記 and 麥奀. Both are wonton "specialists", don't bother anything else. May be the pig feet too. But really, wonton is their special. 麥奀 may have english sp[eaking staff and 麥文記 is really just chinese speaking, but I think they can handle simple english. 麥奀 is a little pricey compare to 麥文記. It's really is a must eat to know the truth taste of "shrimp wonton noodle". Right between the two, there is the infamous Australia Dairy Company. If you want to see what "Efficiency" is like, pay a visit. They expect you to order exactly the moment you sit down. No messing around. Some viewed as rude. They don't yell or swear at you or anything like that, but you can feel the waiter vibe. Personally I feel fine with them. Their scramble eggs/scramble egg sandwish, milk puddings (both egg white one and egg yellow one) are really really good. There is almost always a line up outside. But because the incredible efficiency, you don't need to wait very long. If you don't like to experience the hustle, just order at the door for take away. It is quite near where you stay too. I live on Jordan Road for 50 yrs except the 8 years studying in Calgary. Oh, there is a Wellcome on Austin Road between Woosung Street and Temple Street. Use that one instead. P.S. I see a lot of comments about "octopus card". There are Tourist card and on-loan card. The Tourist card are for keep as souvenir, the on-loan card can be refunded when you leave. It's contactless stored value card, almost all public transport accept it (except taxi). And many many retails and restaurants also accept it too. Can add value at any convenience store (7-11, Circle-K) You can get the card at any MTR station. LINK> octopus.com.hk/en/consumer/octopus-cards/products/sold-tourist/index.html
Singapore is like the cleaned-up version of Hong Kong, but of course that means Hong Kong's vibe can much more exciting. SG more family-friendly for sure.
I'm from Hong Kong and this place is a small city most of us live in a apartment there is Disneyland here too,for those who don't know there is a place called Ocean Park,it is a theme park. There are also a lot of place to visit
Just something to note for your future travels, there are 2 types of michelin ratings. Stars and bib gourmand. What you had was bib gourmand which typically is for cheaper dishes at lower prices. Typically show casing local cuisine
HK is super safe!! A single woman or an old woman can walk at 1am at night on any night and have NOTHING DANGEROUS happen!!!! so you have personal freedom 24hrs to live your life!!!
Guys the pineapple buns taste better with a hot cup of HK style coffee or tea….its more of a morning or afternoon between meals snack to tide you over have fun!
Great video. I found the MTR app to be very useful for journey planning, particularly with knowing which exit to take. A (pre paid) Octopus card is well worth getting as it avoids having to purchase tickets for each journey. If i recall correctly, it can also be used on buses and trams.
Just want to point out that “Pineapple” bun has NO pineapple in it, your comment about tasting pineapple is a placebo effect. It is called that bc of the top of the bun looking similar to a pineapple. Some claim it originated from Shanghai. Another popular way to eat this is to sandwich a thick slice of butter in a hot bun, not my cup of tea. Grew up in HK 5 decades ago, I only tasted it once.
My daughter stay at Hong Kong, Lot of yummy food, walk from Kennedy Town to shanghuan along the beach side is amazing. Kennedy Town lot of nice restaurant
Suggestion for a good price and nice breakfast in Hong Kong: go to fast food restaurant such as cafe de coral, cost approximately : 30 to 50 hong kong dollars per person depend on choice
The Pineapple bun does not have any pineapple in it, is just the name, and if you go to a local cafe, they serve you with thick butter with it and then it taste better, someones they put other stuff in it
Are you going to visit Macao (Ou Moun)? - They have a local Portuguese Custard tart recipe developed by an expat baker British couple using an English custard type filling (with cream) which makes them distinct from the Portuguese traditional ones. However they have become extremely popular in southeast Asia.
Yeah, you are right, Steve. Jackie Chan and Jackie Cheung are 2 different people. Jackie Chan is world famous Hong Kong kungfu actor while Jackie Cheung is a Hong Kong singer dubbed "The God of Songs". Well, hope you both will go to Taiwan one day to try/taste the real pineapple biscuits...super yummy. Hong Kong style egg tarts are one of the famous pastries there. Interesting walk about, showing and sharing with us those spectacular skyline. Thanks a bunch for this epic video, Steve lvana. I hope to visit my niece there one day as she's married to a Hong Konger.
@@weeeee8232 Hi Wee Fang. Haha... good to know you prefer the Malaysia's ones. As pineapple biscuits are my favourite, l don't mind where they are from 😀✌️🫰
Next time you come get an Octopus card. Either a physical one or smart one on your phone (if you have a data connection), you're paying more by buying individual tickets and plus you can use it to pay for stuff in convenience stores, restaurants and shops. Essentially is like the Easy card in Taiwan.
If tourists come to Hong Kong and use public transport quite frequent, get a tourist octopus card to avoid too much coin changes. Many convinence stores and supermarkets accept octopus card payment.
Its a nice city but it does not pay their helpers well: 1. No specific number of hours required to work. Basically helpers are working 6am up until after dinner (doing ironing of clothes, etc, before bed time at 10-11pm). As a result most employers do not allow their helpers to even go out for fresh air after work. Because there is more such thing as “after work”. 2. Monthly Salary is too cheap HKD 4,870 is the rate now ( about USD 625). 3. Even if a helper works consistently for more than 25 years, they are not entitled for a residency. That’s a very fact.
14:39 Welcome to HK In the urban area, the metro we were called them MTR stations, as there were 2 railway systems in HK in the past, MTR (Mass Transit Railway) and KCR, and there are now group in a one company call MTR Corporation Limited. And each station has its own color that they are not same.
If you live on Peak and your car is down, the Peak tram is the faster way to go up and down. It's because the road does not feel good with fast car driving.
I like Hong Kong if compare to many big cities coz there’s mountains just behind the buildings and sea around the city. Also, I like Hong Kong is really Old meets New York/East meets West. thank you so much for shooting such an interesting video for us.

If you're from Toronto, and you don't know what a Pineapple bun is, maybe you need to explore Toronto.
the hong kong skyline and harbour realy is unforgettable. see it from the peak at night and it will blow your mind. happy new year
Thank you for visiting our amazing city!
I lived there for three years as well as five years in Mainland China. I just love both.
Thank you for loving China ❤❤❤
@@onemorexycplz you're welcome. What's not to love? The people are great. So many beautiful places. Both urban landscapes and nature. I will definitely be back there again.
@@ChristopherRevon I'm glad to hear these words! Welcome to visit China often!
Hello, if i can ask you a question, what did you do for living in these place ? I want to move definitely in hong kong in few months
The taxi is priority for disable people going hospital check up.Put the wheel chair at the back.
Mongkok subway station is one the oldest station over 35 years.
Many foreigners don't know how to eat pineapple bun is good.
Hot pineapple buns with inside chill butter are very tasty and delicious.
Enjoy! HKG is my happy place. Can’t wait to be back so your video brings back again - so many happy memories.
Guys Lugard Road is not the way down but probably the best free views on HK! Glad you took the round way, it’s such a stunning place!
First of all, Happy New Year to you guys.
My late mother used to work in HK in the year 1960s and that's where she learns speaking Cantonese (we are Fuzhou from Sarawak East Malaysia) and still able to speak the same though did not use it for decades already when she visited KL.
What a great walk!! Thanks for taking us along. ❤ Keep safe, healthy and happy.
Should go to the Peak in the evening, the night views is just breathtaking
Hong Kong is basically Rio without the problems.
Mad respect to you for noticing somethings that most of the traveler
Wouldn’t notice❤❤
It looks like you guys didn’t do much preparation for the trip. No, pineapple buns typically don’t contain pineapples (although some places put them in as a novelty). Yes, there is sun in HK winters. Yes, the term “subway” is used, but it does not refer to the MTR train. It actually refers to the underground walkway.
Man, tough crowd. They enjoyed it and that's what matters most.
Come on back! Also, don't miss the wild cows on Lantau Island 😁
Ken you were here a couple of months ago staying at Mongkok
Too many wild boars in HK now. I have seen a porcupine when hiking on HK Island.
@@magicstarfish I saw a family of 3 porcupine whilst walked my dog a year ago

the escalators actually go downhill in the morning so that it's more convenient for commuters to get to their offices! then the direction changes for the rest of the day since walking uphill is super tiring :)
Nice video, enjoy HK! Weather is super comfy this time of year. Winter is really the best season to visit.
Congratulations to you for heading Hong Kong to tours the city in great joy & peace in 2023❤❤❤❤Happy New Year to you guys in peace 2024❤❤❤❤
After traveling HONGKONG , you can go to Macau. It's also a very distinctive city!
Just found your channel last week. Really like your videos. Down to earth and the commentary from you and your wife are great
Thank you😁
Appreciate your comments "Hk has more character"we still have sth unique signature things if compared to others' city, and your comment also reflects that you can discover the unique culture in hk .
Welcome to HK, please come again and spread the good news about HK, we need more visitors especially westerners
Typhoon to be exact
菠萝包 Pineapple bun can be very delicious, you just did not find the best ones... it's very popular not only in HK, but also the whole Guangdong province.
Thanks you guys for your new remarkable video this week from Hong Kong to shows these amazing places in December 2023-2024❤❤❤❤
As a Hong Konger and an American, this used to throw me off too.
@@canto_v12 Subway = subterranean way aka an underground passage. I think it's only in North America where subway means the actual underground transit system.
@@Varekai0723 yup linguistically it makes perfect sense
The same thing applies in the UK. A subway is an underground walkway, usually under a busy road or road junction. In London, overseas visitors will often follow a subway sign expecting to find the entrance to an Underground/Tube station! That said, there sometimes is actually an entrance to the Tube in a subway, causing people to falsely believe that we do refer to the Tube as a subway when we actually don't!
To further confuse matters, the underground railway system in Glasgow is actually known as the Glasgow Subway. 😖
@@andybaker2456 the ironic thing is that the label for the Tube is “Underground,” which is the most generic word ever.
FYI the escalator in central switches directions Mon-Fri in the morning for rush business morning hours, as local people head downhills to work.
Welcome to Hong Kong to shows these amazing places in Asia ❤❤❤❤Happy New Year to you guys today’s in 2024❤❤❤
In china Mr stop being stupid

You should get the Octopus card for transportation
#JefFam almost forget, Ngong Ping 360 Cable car and the Tian Tan Buddha on top of the Lantau Island is one the main attraction too.
麥兆記is much better than the two you mentioned, it’s clean and not as pricey as 麥奀
Thanks for the detailed information.
Agree. Hk is way better than Singapore. Singapore is all too well planned and man made
well the size of our home is 💀
I'm going to hong kong soon, as of now singapore is the best city I have been to, so let's see
yep singapore feels very artificial
Anywhere is better than Singapore, I live in Singapore for 70 years, a typical Singaporean
Next stop--Macau!! Through the longest bridge in the world ~
the escalator goes down in the morning and up in the afternoon and evening. For commuters back and forth. Very smart indeed!
Just something to note for your future travels, there are 2 types of michelin ratings. Stars and bib gourmand. What you had was bib gourmand which typically is for cheaper dishes at lower prices. Typically show casing local cuisine
me2 i never thought i will ever like hongkong....but once i went .....it felt like home ! so many things familiar .......
Bamboo scaffold : cheap, easy to transport, light weight, strong, flexible (in high winds and typhoons). But slippery as hell when wet 😂
If you have time, go to Po Toi Island for some real nice scenery. It's just 30 minutes with ferry.
Great video. I found the MTR app to be very useful for journey planning, particularly with knowing which exit to take. A (pre paid) Octopus card is well worth getting as it avoids having to purchase tickets for each journey. If i recall correctly, it can also be used on buses and trams.
Miss old Hong Kong. My late grandmother birthplace.😊
Such a beautiful skyline❤!!
HK has the highest life expectacy in the world, at 85. The constant walking must be the elixia of longevity.
Only been to the airport. It looks like we have been missing out! Thanks for the great video.
You'll love Hong Kong!
Glad to know that you have finished The Pinewood Battery Section Hiking Trail. You have unlocked the hiking experience in Hong Kong.
I built the hillside escalator 30 odd years ago. Hope you enjoy it!
The Pineapple bun does not have any pineapple in it, is just the name, and if you go to a local cafe, they serve you with thick butter with it and then it taste better, someones they put other stuff in it
😊I wish you two happiness, happy everyday ❤
Guys, night time is the best to see the views of Hong Kong from the Peak
Are you going to visit Macao (Ou Moun)? - They have a local Portuguese Custard tart recipe developed by an expat baker British couple using an English custard type filling (with cream) which makes them distinct from the Portuguese traditional ones. However they have become extremely popular in southeast Asia.
Yeah, you are right, Steve. Jackie Chan and Jackie Cheung are 2 different people. Jackie Chan is world famous Hong Kong kungfu actor while Jackie Cheung is a Hong Kong singer dubbed "The God of Songs". Next time you come get an Octopus card. Either a physical one or smart one on your phone (if you have a data connection), you're paying more by buying individual tickets and plus you can use it to pay for stuff in convenience stores, restaurants and shops. Essentially is like the Easy card in Taiwan.
A hot or warm enough pineapple bun with A piece of thick slicing hard & cold salted butter inside is extraordinary delicious, don't buy a cool one.
You should have the Hot Pineapple Bun with iced Butter in the middle. Only can be eaten inside any HK Cafe !
If tourists come to Hong Kong and use public transport quite frequent, get a tourist octopus card to avoid too much coin changes. Many convinence stores and supermarkets accept octopus card payment.
welcome to one of most expensive cities in Asia
Not as expensive as Singapore these days
Its a nice city but it does not pay their helpers well:
Welcome to Hong Kong!!!🎉😆 hope you will visit again soon!
14:39 Welcome to HK
In the urban area, the metro we were called them MTR stations, as there were 2 railway systems in HK in the past, MTR (Mass Transit Railway) and KCR, and there are now group in a one company call MTR Corporation Limited. And each station has its own color that they are not same.
Jacky Cheung ...is one of the most Hong Kong famous singer
If you live on Peak and your car is down, the Peak tram is the faster way to go up and down.
It's because the road does not feel good with fast car driving.
Ivana dropping the Michelin wanton on the table still can take back up as long in 3 second Rule, can eat 😁
I like Hong Kong if compare to many big cities coz there’s mountains just behind the buildings and sea around the city. Also, I like Hong Kong is really Old meets New York/East meets West. thank you so much for shooting such an interesting video for us.
From a new immigrant coming from Hong Kong to Toronto, you can a much better pineapple bun in the China town of Toronto!
That bun is called pineapple bun not because it is pineapple flavored, but because the crispy texture on top looks like pineapple.
