LOVED (and salivated!!) watching the video! Sugg (if I may), I'd use a CLEAN grease catch pan and SAVE that bacon grease (it can be stored in the fridge)!! Use it when cooking eggs or potatoes or ???? It will ADD a TON of flavor to the NEXT ingredient, believe me! I can smell it now, espec, if you're brewing coffee in the outside kitchen! I doubt, it will only be those in the tents; it'll be a MASSIVE number of fellow campers hangin' out at your campsite! Y'all Be Safe!
Another professional and always interesting video, after only a week from the previous one, like the good old days 👌. BTW for such cases, I like to use grilling sheets as an alternative to the griddle and in order to use the most out of the grate's surface. Thanks a lot.
Nice video as usual. And I also really like mine. Just for all the campers and other outdoor grillers, break your eggs at home, stir them and transport in a small water bottle. Saves space in your cooler and avoids mess. Will stay fresh for several days when you respect standard hygienic rules.
Food on the grill good to see. Now I know you want to use your Q griddle, but considering the bacon grease problem and you did say the Q runs a bit hot why not just use a cast iron skillet. I believe a 10" would fit nicely. Just a thought. Now about the eggs. The way to tell for freshness is by how runny the whites are . If firm fresh. A bit runny, not as much. The color of the yolk depends on what the hen's have been eating. Some folks give things like marigolds flowers to really improve the color. And the color of the shell has to do with the color of the hens ears for some reason. They are a way to find out who's laying and who's not. Just a little information from my little homestead. I like that you did something different. I always liked how you mixed things up. Looking forward to seeing your next vid. 🐓🍳🥓
@Gavin Smith first off just so I'm not misunderstood I have a great deal of respect for his videos. As to where to place the skillet I believe a 10" would fit nicely in the middle of the grill. And the extra iron from the skillet would tame the heat from the Q. I'm hoping that he responds to the question. He's good at replys. And he might remember I'm a big fan of cast iron when I can use it so please keep that in mind if in the future you see me suggest it. Some griddles might even fit on the Q. But it makes sense to use the Q's griddle if you already have one, right?
Interesting info about the eggs. I do vids for the griddle because I know people are considering buying one and want to see it in action. I kind of like it. I have used a cast iron skillet on the Q before in my beer brats vid. A 10.5 inch skillet fits fine as long as the handle isn't very long. Watch the vid here: ua-cam.com/video/TxSy-fm3fiI/v-deo.html
@@GallaghersGrub I have watched it and enjoyed it and others you have done. I only mentioned the skillet because of the potential grease problem. And I almost didn't say anything about the eggs but in the end I thought you wouldn't mind. The rich golden color does make the eggs look much better and I'm considering growing a lot of marigolds for the chickens next year. Here's a egg nugget for you. If you don't clean the eggs they will last 3 weeks on the counter at room temperature. But the US department of agriculture requires egg producers to clean them shorting their shelf life. In Europe the egg producers are not allowed to clean them and that is why you will find them on the counters at the grocery stores there. When you raise your own chickens you do as you please. 🥚🐓🥚🐓🍳
great videos, I noticed in your unboxing video of the griddle, you cooked bacon, seasoned the griddle and used olive oil prior to cooking your bacon. have you discovered oil isn't needed on the griddle when you are cooking, now that you had pre-seasoned it?
I don't think you actually need to season it as it is enamel coated cast iron. Plus, Weber recommends you can use soap to clean it. Just used the griddle yesterday and yes, I used oil. Hope this helps.
I like rare bacon. If I can't cut it with a fork, it's overdone. Other than that, this looked really good! Love the smell of bacon. And cinnamon. And eggs. And bread. Heck, I just like to eat.
Kind of reminds me of Gollum in Lord of the Rings who is aghast that the hobbits want to cook their fish. He likes them "raw and wiggly." Cheers Uncle Skull!
Oh, sure, BACON! There we go again. Now, let's take this up another level 😋 If your cholesterol level is OK (or when in possession of some good cholesterol lowering medication), instead of getting rid of the bacon grease (shame on you sir) just take a blueberry jam or wild cherry jam sandwich and soak it in the bacon grease. I'm not kidding, it's heaven (or straight to heaven if you have cholesterol issues).
Congrats on the new Q. It's a great little grill. I try to put the temps in my videos. When using the griddle like in this video, just know that it gets hot and will burn butter so I typically run it on low to medium low heat.
Sometimes. I think one of the best parts about the Q1200 is the variety of colors. It's hard to find high heat paint in other colors than white or black though.
Can you n your woman compromise on the living situation? How about the both of you get a new place with a balcony so you can continue to grill on the Weber! 😉
Breakfast of champions right there! Good stuff brother. Anything with bacon is a winner!
Thanks CJ. I've got some changes coming to the channel. Stay tuned, good sir.
Bacon makes breakfast a tasty breakfast. Nice to see another one of your videos !
Thanks Al. I've been wanting to make another griddle video for a while. Finally got around to it.
My man! Another top-notch (hunger-inducing) production. Good to see you back!
Thanks Mark. Be sure to catch the new vid out today. Cheers dude!

Yep great see you back - now that you've found a field rather than a fire escape, so keep 'em coming
Thanks Mike. Got some new ideas in the works.
I am so happy that you are making videos again with your Weber Q. I have a Weber Q1200 and I love your reports 👍 Greetings from Germany 👍
Thanks for watching in Germany, Bruco. Prost!

Thanks for the great comment and suggestion. Cheers Raymond!
Glad to be getting notifications that your posting again. Please keep up the great work.
Thank you Chris. I've got a few ideas in the works.
Another winner. Love your stance on maple syrup, made me chuckle 😂🙌🏻🍁
Thanks Sebtrain. I have strong feelings about high fructose corn syrup
City Escape Griller me too. It’s hateful isn’t it. I pay £10 for a small bottle of good stuff in uk 😍
@@TheSebtrain It's pretty expensive here too, but not like that.
My friend runs a sugar house up here in Maine.
Two free quarts, every spring.
I'll never eat store bought again!
A Maine Grower that’s awesome man
Really great to see a Q grilling video from you! Enjoy watching what you do!
Thanks Papa Jack. I've got some other ideas in the works.

I need to try those grilling sheets. Thanks for the idea and thanks for watching.
Great job! I can almost smell, and taste, your great creation!🥓🥞
Thanks Bill. Easy and delicious.

Great idea about the water bottle filled with eggs. Very smart!
Killer video bro great to see you back
Thanks George. Cheers man!
Excellent breakfast Bro! Nice seeingthe Q get some love even though you have no fireescape :)
No fire escape, but I'm working on a new location. Stay tuned.

I like to add vanilla to my egg mixture and these look amazing
Great idea! I will give vanilla a try. Cheers!
Looks yummy 🤤
Cheers brotha!
👍 another goodie... thanks! 🇿🇦
Thanks for watching in South Africa! Cheers Andre!
Nice, looking great! Grill on dude!
Keep on grillin' and check out the news I released today:

Q You are the master of your domane

Great breakfast, missing the old Weber q green! Why did you repaint it black?
I couldn't find high heat paint in any other colors.

You're right, bacon grease is too good to waste. Cheers dude!
Great video king. How do you get your grill and griddle so clean between cooks?
Here's my video on cleaning the Weber Q. Cheers!

Spot on 🇬🇧
Thanks Stuart! Good to hear from you sir!
Good to see you back on mate? Keep them coming?
Great channel, just found you. Why do you use stainless spatula? Wont the porcelain coat get damaged and come off? Is it safe to?
Just got my Weber Q1200 and have just found your channel, it would help a newbie like me to know what temperature/heat settings you are using, thanks👍
Congrats on the new Q. It's a great little grill. I try to put the temps in my videos. When using the griddle like in this video, just know that it gets hot and will burn butter so I typically run it on low to medium low heat.
Do you regret painting your Weber Q black?
Sometimes. I think one of the best parts about the Q1200 is the variety of colors. It's hard to find high heat paint in other colors than white or black though.
What kind of butter do you use
Kerrygold Irish Butter. Salted.
you have to be quick for a family of 10 LOL
I think you need a bigger grill! Cheers Kevin!
#BBQRando loves breakfast! #WeberQ4Life
RRRRRRRRando! Cheers brotha!
Hi at what temp do you cook the bacon at?
Medium heat. And always with the lid down. Cheers!
Fry the bread in the bacon fat-'scrumtious'
Nice... Cheers Jeff!
Couldn't you let the toast soak up some of that bacon grease?
You could, but I also love butter.
Bacon.....
Can you n your woman compromise on the living situation? How about the both of you get a new place with a balcony so you can continue to grill on the Weber! 😉
It's in the works. Stay tuned.
Why throw away the nice bacon fat? Only to throw on a pound of butter...
Just use the bacon fat dude
Thanks Andrew. You could have a point there.
