- Ooooooopsss! I bought a giant bass amp called the Fender Bassman Pro 300! This is what I would consider to be one of the big 3 in terms of rock and metal bass tone! The Fender Bassman 300 Pro stands firm among the Ampeg SVT and the Mesa Boogie 400+, two of the most epic bass amps of all time. This amp is essentially a Sunn 0))) 300T. It was released in the early 2000s after Fender acquired Sunn. Fender has since reissued the famed Sunn Model T around this time. I managed to get a great deal on this awesome amp and so I thought I would share it with you! What do you think? How does it sound? What's your favorite bass amp?

Loud amps save lives! Killer tone.
Thanks for watching!
That’s some heavy sick riffage in the 10 mark. Monolord
Thanks Holmes
Bought one and an 810 neo cab a year ago. Zero regrets. Nastiest, punchiest, darkest combo I've ever played or heard. Doom/Death//Black tones for days. Overdrive channel has endless depth and a dream tone stack. You can still get perfect Fender cleans if you want. You have to really try to make it sound bad.
I regret to inform you that I sold this rig about a year ago. It was taking up space in our small practice room and we decided to invest in an IEM system for recording videos and stuff. I have plans to own one again. Ive never heard of an 8x10 Neo cab, how cool 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊Which brand did you go with?
It's the matching Fender cab. I just dial in the slightest bit of the tweeter to give a hint of sparkle (it's easy to overdo it), and play a Schecter Hellraiser C-9 through a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Mayhem distortion and an Earthquake Avalanche Run Delay/Reverb (very dark true plate sound).... sold other amps I owned. Done looking. 👹
Best bass amp !!! Listen to the low end on that amp !!! I really want to get a Fender Super Bassman 300. Gotta save some dough. Great video Drew ! This is the video that i have been waiting for. Your really showing off the best qualities of this amp...
This is the 300 Pro. The CURRENT Super Bassman is a different amp.
Thanks for the kind words. I love this amp. They are somewhat affordable LOUD tube amps usually sold for $800 to $1000.
Awesome!! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
Cover me in hot sludge and set me on fire. That was dope.
LOL!!!
I own two. I use one for practice, one for shows. The magic is in the compression knob. I turn it all the way to 10. The gain to 10. Channel 2 all the way up. Master 3,
great job guys, awesome!!!
Thanks for watching!
This beast has balls ⚽️ 🏀 🏈 ! Great stuff 🤘🏻😎🎸
It certainly does. The lifting the head off of the cabinet was pretty scary...and moving the cabinet inside it's road case...nearly impossible for two scrawny metal heads. Thanks for watching!
Had to get one and I play guitar through it, it’s awesome.
Sick
que increibleeeeee
Yes indeed!
Very Nice!!!!!
It's a great amp, I definitely miss this one!
Put a warning first. You almost destroyed my phone.
Hahaha, the warning is in the thumbnail!
Would like to see this compared w a Super Bassman and an SVT.
I wish I had access to one of those mighty amps, maybe in the future.
I just wish it had speakon I'm blown away by that
What's the advantage of having speakon?
Would love to hear it with a p bass! Cheers 🎉❤
phat intro
Interesting jazz tone. I would have played a p-bass.
How is this vs the svt4 pro?
Makes an absolute joke out it. And just about anything you put it up against. If you can get one of these in good working order for less than $1500 you’ll never regret it. Even broken these go for $1000 though so keep an eye out. (Speaking to the sunn model, Fender branded May be more affordable cause the name Sunn on a monster amp like this adds a couple hundred easily lol
@@makavrah_doom1491 I actually got one basically new from a buddy with the 8x10 cab traded for a stingray bass I really dig it I'm still getting used to it I've been using ampeg so long I still have the svt 4pro with my 8x10 cab
@@bassimprovjams3772 RAD! They’re both great amps, the Sunn just isn’t quite as Plug in and let it rip as the ampeg, The 300T has a lot more going on functionally and is much more versatile, between the really solid onboard compression, fine tunable EQ sections and the clean/dirty channels with adjustable blend you can pretty much dial in a killer tone for any occasion or range. Which takes some getting used to for sure, but so so sweet when you find what you want out of it.
The 300T is an absolute beast of a head! They weigh 85 pounds and pack the biggest punch. I need to get one again
between this mess and rap, dunno which one wins?
So you're telling me you don't like fat bass grooves?
