The soot on JH’s face after he filled the cab with smoke! 😂 Gotta love a Cummins. I have 360+K on my 12v. Towed probably 75% of the 260K I have owned it for. Generally over 7000lb trailers, quite a few gross combined weight near 26,000. Still runs like a top, and it’s been turned up since 125K miles. If you can’t tell, I love the P pump trucks! Awesome to see how easily this clapped out beast came back to life.

@@JackTruitt yep! 5 speed, and I of course had to go to a dual disc clutch. I’ve had two transmission replacements. Broke third both times. I’m running a 63/68 turbo, 5x.012 injectors, 4K spring kit, timing is 18°, so that limits rpm more than the governor. It pulls hard. There’s a fairly extensive list of other mods. Probably the most fun to drive vehicle I’ve owned.
Give that Cummins some more love. Good stuff.

Should have alot of experience starting blown up trucks like that 6.0 Ford you said would be a great burnout truck that I've never seen do a full skid.

If you know anyone that works for a fire department or government type entity you can have them go to the government auctions and get brand new crate transmissions, motors etc for that military truck for very cheap, but the thing is they ( whoever you can get to buy the stuff from the auction) has to hold it for 18 months then they can legally sell it, transfer it etc. My work for example went down and got a new crate 6bt for a pump for 1k bucks
