My room-mate is Mizo, I used to think why she is so quiet all the time, now it becomes clear because she is from Silence city i.e. Aizawl. By the way she is one of the best person I ever met in my life, too kind, polite, well- mannered, too soft hearted and too aggressive (sometimes) as well. I am lucky to have her as my room-mate because I used to irritate her and respect her at same time. Anyway Lots of love to Mizoram.

We Mizo tend to be quite when with other so as not to offend them as best as possible.. But if you gain a trust towards them they will be your loyal friends. I used to be a medical students in JIPMER (Puducherry) and PG in Maulana Azad (New Delhi). During that time my fellow students always think of me reserve person but when they got to know me better ww become best of friends. I never drink alcohol thus whenever we hang out in a bar or club I was always the chauffeur taking care of their wallets and keys. I am still in contact with them and visited them whenever I got time. Some of them work in big hospital in Mumbai, Banglore, Kolkata they always told me to come to work with them and stay with them but as I was set on working in rural areas in Mizoram i always decline. Sometimes they feel hurt as we always treat each other like brother. And also whenever other call me chinky or Chinese my friends will always defend me and sometimes get a fight with them.
I don't think😂 they are so quiet ..why bcz I met 2girls in one of my training centre,they used to talk a lot....blaa blaa baa all the time

@david a If you used 'keini' you should used 'kan', like 'Keini pawh kan lawm e'. 'Keini' and 'kan' means we/us.But if you used 'keini' in the first sentence and then used 'ka' again, it can't be correct.Ya,'ka' means I.🙂No Offence, just make a correction on your mistake for him/her to know, that's all.😁😁
I have been to Mizoram thrice, still can't get enough of the place. Hope to visit again soon sometime after the pandemic is over. 😊

See mizoram population and one district population of U. P like varanasi, gorakhpur etc. U. P district population is more than mizoram state population it's not good comparison small state with big state. Just like we can't compare india with sweden, norway, sri lanka etc.
"Most" disciplined would be an exaggeration. It is a small state and thus is easy to maintain.

Mizoram reminds me of Northern Philippines. The people, the costumes, the history, the values. We also have a shop in the North where there is no cashier, people will just drop money in a box. It's called "Honesty Café".
All the Himalayan States in India used to have such honest and admirable customs and traditions before, but now they have been corrupted by outsiders, states like Mizoram, Nagaland and some parts of Manipur still preserve their culture which i support wholeheartedly
