My son who is 12yrs old now is called Senna. I asked him do you like your name. He looked at me and said’ I love my name dad thank you for that. I said it’s ok son. I love you mate..
Too bad that the attractive driver Roland Ratzenberger who was the victim of a fatal accident during the 2nd qualifying session, was forgotten in one of the worst weekends in the history of F1 after Monza 1961. Roland and Ayrton will remain forever engraved in our hearts.
I remember seeing the race on TV when it happened, quickly seemed bad due to the number of people on the track. Normally they want as few out on the track as possible. I liked that you also included what caused Ratzenberger's accident, and not only just mentioned that By the way, driver X died the day before.
The biggest mistake was that after Rubens crash and Rolands death, the FIA didn't cancel the weekend, but thats coz its all about the money and the spectacle, they both passed doing what they loved, but safety was lacking and it shouldn't have happened, RIP to them both 🙏
Such a shame what happened to the best Formula 1 driver that ever lived! 😢 My compatriot Ayrton Senna! 🇧🇷 He didn't want to race that day, didn't trust the car and his instincts were correct unfortunately, but felt he couldn't quit. It was his team's fault this happened to him. 😢
Back then regulations had been changed drastically and meny teams including Williams were not completely ready. Very sad that 2 friends passed one day after the other. 😅
20 years later after this incident in October 2014, the next driver to be killed in a Formula One Grand Prix was jules Bianchi in Japanese Grand Prix he was in a coma for 9 months before passing away
There are a number of inaccuracies and flaws of this video... Just to point out one, 12:24, that is not turn 1 'tamburello' that was converted into a chicane. That is Variante Alta in the final sector of the track.
The steering column broke. That is what the investigation found out. Wasnt Senna's fault at all...makes it that mcuh harder to stomach that it could have been prevented.
You (and all the other You-Tubers) really ought to stop proliferating the incorrect statement about the steering shaft failure causing the accident. Williams had telemetry data showing steering shaft inputs were working fine. The welded joint broke upon impact with the wall not during the corner (that is why no manslaughter charges were brought). It was due simply to taking the corner too fast before tyres had reached normal operating temperature after those slow laps behind the safety car. The ground effects / active ride technology meant ride height needed to be controlled within a narrow window to get the required downforce.
What kind of nonsense is that? The steering column broke beforehand and led to the crash. This was established by the Italian court in 2005. Do you want to question the Italian court? I wonder what kind of nonsense you're talking about.
I remember watching this live on TV,crazy but I had a feeling there was something serious happening with Senna? The thing is, the drivers know the risks that's why they get paid so much money! It's a shame, i would have loved to have seen Senna vs Schumacher to see who was the best driver!
[ no, It did not break. He had a slightly oversteer. You can see it clear in the video. If you have a broken steering wheel you will have the arms crossed in the moment it break. Remember tje force you must apply to the wheel to make the car turne. Broken shaft is results of Crash.]
hmmz, this is a strong and valid argument, i used to think the broken steering shaft was the (most likely) caus of the crash but you changed my mind. Thank you !
Look people, five other drivers hit the concrete wall at the Tambuello corner and all they had to do was move that fucking wall back a few meters, put in a wavy gravel trap and line the wall with tire barriers and Senna would have stepped out of the car! All these drivers complained about it and the governing body did fuck all about it! THEY KNEW! And what difference does it make what happened? It's racing and this happens!
How and why could it NOT be dangerous? Traveling at 200+ MPH in F-1 cars made of thin fiberglass and lightweight aluminum, with at least over 1,000+ horsepower at the throttle? How can anyone possibly survive in a crash like THAT???
They're not aluminum and fiberglass anymore! They're mainly made of carbon fibre for thirty years now. When was the last time you watched an F1 race?@@OtomoTenzi
They were hurt, one of the crashes sent debris into the crowd injuring 8 spectators and a police officer. All the drivers wanted electronic aids back in the cars, which they had the previous GP, for some fucking stupid and ridiculous reason they had been deemed illegal despite complaints from drivers. F1 is mostly political, people in suits with no idea making rules which caused the deaths of 2 drivers in 1994.
My younger brother is named for this legend. He was born the day he died.
My daughter to❤️🙏

Experts have all said, Ayrton Senna would have easily survived the crash if the suspension hadn't pierced his helmet.
My daughter bears the name with all honor Mr. Senna and she loves it ❤🙏

True, track worker was fatally killed though off of lose tire in the 90s.
R.I.P. Senna. The greatest. 🏆🏆🏆

He is meant to have made alterations to the steering column before the race.
a very sad day for racing... he is still alive and racing in our thoughts and dreams...

the fact nobody cooperate with justice should have lead to more severe consequences for the authors.

Skip to 11:00 thats where the part with the name of the vid starts...
You know I LOVE this song 😩 can you please link me to it!
The script is decent, but pronunciation is off. Still very informative

Nelson Piquet, Gerhard Berger, Michele Alboreto, Riccardo Patrese…am I missing anyone?
2:49 The 1994 San Marino GP was not Roland Ratzenberger's first F1 race, it was his third GP.
It was his LAST... 😞
I'm a formula 2 driver this shit is no joke
Very sad
Poootin would reply "He crashed". 😶
Lack of adhesion and sudden stop. Drivers did die back then.
I believe that Senna died on impact. The movement in his head was nerves of the body trying to get oxygen to brain
Cursed track !
Why, how, why and how can this dangerous and historically lethal sport lead to danger?
Thank goodness nobody in the crowd were hurt.
