    The steering heater levels are probably the same as in my cupra formentor:
    level1: hot AF
    level2: 2nd degree burns
    level3: HELL boiling flaming soup :/
    But yes, it takes some time to heat up.. and when remotely preheating the car, it will only start the steering heating if it's below 0 celsius or something like that.. which is a bummer, since there is no dedicated steering heating button in the app.

    Dear Lord.
    I'm on my knees begging that VW engineers come up with a button for battery heater.
    First they came up with rear window heater that driver could engage if he/she felt like it.
    Then they came up with seat heaters that driver could engage if he/she felt like it.
    Then they came up with side mirror heaters that driver could engage if he/she felt like it.
    Then they came up with windscreen heaters that driver could engage if he/she felt like it.
    Then they came up with steering wheel heaters that driver could engage if he/she felt like it.
    -When will they come up with battery heater that driver could engage if he/she feels like it?
    I feel like it now.

Still 204hp has better torque. You don't need more. Wait for the one based on ID4 GTX then with 300HP dual motor.

    power consumption looks ok to me. with the bigger 77kWh battery, this would make more sense to me.
    still an expensive car.
    i have a bit of a problem with the cupra brand here. i drive a 22 year old leon cupra tdi 4wd with 150hp. i like it. at that time it was a good performance for a slim pricetag.
    but now, they completely fucked up the brand. it is not a sports car brand anymore (cupra = cup racing).
    these cars now want to look like a lamborghini but have poor/average performance.
    this is a bit too much fake for me now.
    i will monitor what skoda will deliver in the ID.3 segment in the future. it will have the same performance but probably a bit more elegance.
    until then, i will drive my old leon cupra. it will probably still last a few years. in three years it might be the right time to switch to an EV.

      Yup, better than ID.3 a year ago, with larger, faster, screen, and better info display, but plenty of scope for improvement. The VAG setup could be better than Tesla if it was developed more. Best versions have HUD, mini-display for driver, plus the central screen.

    We've been spoilt by Tesla's superior software... rendering the majority of other EV's software useless...

    • @Robcomesana
      @Robcomesana 2 роки тому +3

      I like some Tesla advances like power electronics, thermal management, supercharger network or battery technology and dislike others such as interior minimalism, touch screen centered interaction, low quality for its price, self driving stuff and repair costs. That said, Tesla did things its own way, even if we like it or not. The issue I really can't stand with EV's is that the legacy automakers followed most of those steps without wondering if they make sense. Why can't an EV have an standard interior?. Why there are no buttons and climate control module anymore?. Why are wheels so big?. If a compact car with 130hp and 1300 kg was ok, why going so high in power?. They could keep the 10 kg/hp ratio, get lower cost in the engine, power electronics and powertrain and create an real car interior with the savings. And, except Polestar, BMW and a couple chinese brands, since they follow Tesla in all this why they don't build an energy efficient D segment sedan such as model 3 and keep with those nonsense SUV - crossover shapes?. I think the EV's are the future, just don't like these products they are making.

    • @Cornelius87
      @Cornelius87 2 роки тому

      @@Robcomesana listen I like EVs I find them neat and that's why I like watching all these videos. With that said I think to answer your question as to why EVs can't have a standard interior with buttons and no nonsense is because then they won't seem as a "car of the future" as much as I like them if I'm being honest they are still an inferior product to ice cars. They take more time to "refuel" and only go half as far. Sure the performance is there but does 0-60 time really matter to the average driver? Electric cars are not a new invention and yes they will be the future because we need to move on from fossil fuel but they're not necessarily a better product. That's why they need to put all those fancy huge screens, glass roofs, self driving capabilities, huge wheel sizes etc. to make you feel like you're buying a state of the art latest and greatest vehicle.

  • @guidomies1433
    @guidomies1433 2 роки тому

    Hello, why do you always make jokes of the kWh/h specification?
    Basically, this information is much more catchy for the average consumer instead of the trained technician or physicist.
    The consumer asks himself the simple question: How much energy will the vehicle have added over time or even an hour?
    From this follows without further ado energy per hour, which corresponds formally to kWh/h.
    So it makes sense to relate the gain in energy to the hour. That this corresponds physically to a power is again formally correct, but by far not so catchy!
    Greetings from Germany
