Solo Wild Camping In Rain - Bowfell Lake District UK - Hilleberg Akto
Join me as I ascend Bowfell at 902m via the Climbers Traverse route. I Pitch up just below the summit of Bowfell & Crinkle Crags next to the Three Tarns and enjoy an evening of mixed weather including sun, wind, rain & clag while enjoying a bit of camping cooking in the tent.

I’m a bit of a newbie to wild camping, so always take something away from watching folks like you dude.
Not sure when you was out, but I was over at Seathwaite on Sunday night and there was not many out, but then when the weather came in as forecast in the night I realised why it was so quiet.
But if we waited for perfect weather, we wouldn’t have these experiences.

Lovely video pal. I was up there a few weekends ago. Walked up the band early afternoon and down into Great Moss in "The Seat Of The Gods" and camped near Lingcove Beck. It was a beautiful hike in and out past three tarns, and next time I might camp higher up.

I knew it was gonna be a great video the second that epic intro come on 👌, bowfell looks like a great climb mate, with some brilliant views, noticed a lot of loose rock there, and that slab 😮, cracking set up for a mountain camp mate👍⛺️, nice pitch that, and man that drone footage was class, loved it when it was above the cloud 👌, atb Mick 👍
Thanks mick I'm glad you enjoyed it ! Yeah the loose rock on the traverse is always changing as there's frequent slides there it was good fun but tough going will go again ! This was one of those camps where you feel so at peace it was a belter ! Cheers

Great video. I've seen so many incredible photos from the Lake District online, but it's my first time watching a video from this location. Well done. It looks magical there, even in foggy and rainy weather. Your drone shots were fantastic, and it was also nice to see so much footage of the Akto. I have the Nammatj 2GT from Hilleberg, practically a fortress, so it would be nice to have something much more portable like the Akto in the future. Subscribed for your support :)
