so to make a long story short. He's got rigging tubes in the hull and he snaked the runs with a lead ball weight and some fishing line to use to pull the rope, which he's going to use to pull the wire. this is a no brainer and something a 7 year old can do when you have proper rigging tubes. In a boat that has none and the wires are bundled and single conductor, you'll have to pull the garbage thats in there OUT first, then chase your wires. ALWAYS make sure you secure a chase wire to whatever you are pulling out. then you run an extra chase with your actual wire. You always need a spare wire or chase rope left inside your rigging tubes when you finish. That way next time, you have a pull string. Without rigging tubes it's a nightmare. you will likely need a wire snake and a wire pull rod set to get wire from your batteries to your trolling motor. Make sure to use proper Marine grade tinned wire AND use the gauge recommended by your trolling motor manufacturer
So they had to cut a hole in your anchor locker so you could bolt down the trolling motor? I have a 2023 19LS and wanted to add a Minn Kota i was wondering how it was mounted.
