Playing through my first Atelier game at the moment (Rorona) and the Dark Cloud vibes are real. No city building elements but it looks like they are in Legendary Alchemists?

The battle system looks like some mobile Game i hope it plays better than it looks right now.
its a mobile game. all you have to do is press confirm button and follow. no free roaming in city nor outside. all go automatic. the worst game of atelier ever.

Exploration and combat looks like big step back from almost all the past games wth happened? I like the town building but the side rolling is stupid
is it worth getting? i saw it randomly on FB marketplace and im like "ive never heard of this game" i dont know anything about this apparently "series"

@@alakazamlover4908 it’s only worth getting if you’re a fan of the series. Besides the town building elements, the gameplay is pretty shallow and is only saved by the gigantic cast of fan-favorite characters, which admittedly is awesome.
If you want to get into the series, Atelier Sophie is the best starting point.
@@thearsonistofarland3087 What system is that for? I am VERY limited on the systems i have so i might just have to say no to it though i think i saw a few people playing the 2nd one and looked it up and the 1st and 2nd one are on switch
@@alakazamlover4908 Sophie’s on PC and PS4. if you own a switch, Atelier Lulua’s a good place to start
@@thearsonistofarland3087 Yea i have a chrombook so PC is out of the question and 0% interest in buying a PS4 so might start with that if i get more $ and see it somewhere at a good price

I wish they'd make a Atelier game like the ones on the ps2 (Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia). The cute stuff was nice for a game or two but it feels like the same exact game every time.

@@alakazamlover4908 the game is more in alchemist things....mixing items to make new spells and items and use it in battle....battles are turn based and the game have some exploring too....all in all i love the game not a ground breaking game but in lower price i think it's worth it and you may like it

i am disappointed by the "exploration aspect of the game" (saw the gust 2 hour special) and its basically a mobile game like thing. i just want a firis with complete openwod not just big areas
me too i love atelier firis, open world should be the norm from now on in atelier games, makes things much more adventurous
MeteoraXV indeed its still my most played atelier game and i still dont have 100%. I just want another title like that Exploration, and a mobile Atelier was so much fun compared to a house where you need to return to
Nelke is a spinoff title, so it's unlikely it would have the exact same gameplay as a main series title.
Problem about Firis is that they implemented the open world aspect in the worst way possible. I still love the game, but if they ever do this again, they better polish it up.
Could you have the team make an Arpg atelier game next? Get a new designer and have him make the cute girls as usual and not so feminine male characters like the current ones that are little girl bait,... Like in the atelier Iris days or Mana Khemia. Hidari in Toukiden was good and balanced and he has worked with the atelier team before.
