NOTES: Blockhorn clip was edited incorrectly and started ~3s late. My apologies, please take this into account with the results chart. Also it seems this test format is confusing for some people, so let me explain whats going on: I'm comparing the DPS of every damage-dealing and damage-boosting mech. this is a ratio comparison, so the exact numbers dont matter. The opponents are not specific (ie: it was not meant to be "fair"), the purpose was to differentiate how each mech performs vs enemies with and without Mod Shields (for example: Blockhorn kills raw HP faster than Redox, but Galvanic shields will absorb all of Blockhorn's bonus damage while Redox remains unhindered. So its worth comparing in both environments) Why use weapons? well, Tengu (for example) has more ability dmg than Redox, but itd be unfair to call Tengu a "higher dps mech," since Redox (while having a bit less Ability killing-power) has TWICE the Weapon killing-power. Thus I needed an arbitrary weapon to simulate some amount of dps coming from the mechs Energy stat, to be combined with the ability dps. Yes, Minigun was an arbitrary choice. Why Minigun? Whatever weapon I used needed to be of moderate dps, and fair across both opponents (with and without Mods). Which means no Double Damage, Status Effects, etc. (since those will favor one target over the other). I chose Minigun because it did not require any implants to do the job i needed, which was easier for me. I also considered Nade Launcher, however I felt it could skew the data and give misleading results (if a target were 1 hit away from destruction but Nade had to reload, then the associated time with that mech would appear much worse than it actually was). Different weapons will always yield different numbers, but the exact numbers dont matter, we're only interested in how the times compare to each other (ie: "Seeker's kill time was roughly half of Tengu's kill time"). Using different weapons, the placements would be similar (if not the exact same), tho i doubt anyone wants to watch 2 hours of me comparing these mechs with every single weapon in the game.
Blockhorn just sitting there for three seconds chanting its battle cry 3:19 Great educational video as always, surprised, expected cheetah to be higher in all honesty, but redox, onyx, and cheetah made me proud in this test
Lets go redox! That's my wonderful acidic rust causing boy 😂 Also something I want to point out, mainly to new players. The enemy is going to win by points and there's only one enemy with one or two mechs left. They have 2 or 3 beacons and you know if you kill them then you win and you're the last one left. Don't go to an enemy beacon and capture it, that's how you're most likely going to lose. Instead, put the enemy beacon to white and move onto the next enemy beacon to put that to white whilst hunting down the enemy. You're going to have an extra like, 5 seconds to neutralise these beacons if you don't fully capture it which gives you a higher chance to win the match by killing the enemy. I hope this makes sense and that it'll help you with your matches in the future :)
Very nice, did not think Redox would be up there. Also, are Vipers worth getting? The bots always seem to do really well with them what are your thoughts?
OP Cheetah Mines are not that much affecting in higher tiers... While using close quarters in lower tiers it's so annoying while Bots spit Mines all over the floor

Pierce implant is great imo! im working on a video testing this implant specifically, but for certain reasons i wont be able to complete it for another week or so... if you wanna hold onto it until then, you can make a more informed decision
what about a ally brickhouse assisting a friend to kill a bastion? brickhouse ability gives teamates a greater damage boost🤔why not a no weapon brickhouse with a panther? fast kill?
interesting, GC, Onyx and redox have basically the same ttk (ignoring onyx's potential back dmg from splash), so getting whichever you prefer is a great option
Hey ruffles just wanted to know I have revoker 8 and storm racks 6 and 10 and eclipse and surge which should go where cause I really like both but dinno what's better cause I have fought a single player today 😭
@@RuFFlesGaming I use duration since it's tick damage is off by a considerable margin, it does so much damage if you manage to get close to the target, like 140K at R5 level 1, no pilots.
yea. if the shield werent there, i kinda wonder how Orion would fare in comparison as well (she shield pierce doesnt count as "extra" dmg, so it cut through the shield a lot before dealing with the galvanic)
do you have a giveaway i can enter? if so then i want to win it so i can become better instead of getting killed and getting spit on by other people who are better. Thank you. 😥
Interesting. I was totally expecting Orion, Brickhouse, Stalker and Vortex to be the top4?! Funny that only Orion stayed on top by far, no wonder he's underrated. 😵💫🤯😅🤔
i knew Blockhorn had better dps than stalker/brickhouse, but i also didnt think itd be placed so low either. figured itd definitively secure top 3 vs both enemy types
@@RuFFlesGamingtrue, forgot about blockhorn's shield damage boost... a boost buff would be good considering his legendary type! Idk why plarium wants to normalize mechs or weapons so much, since the matchmaking keeps players in different tiers. It removed the OP fun from discs, em rifles and revoker is possibly next, hopefully not... 😮😢😑😖
I dont get it... all mechs sports miniguns. Only modifiers would be implant and pilot (and some mech abilities that boost damage). If you equip the same setup per mech would that gave same damage output. Unless your using Brickhouse or mechs with damage boosts.
its possible to find it in the shop, so just keep 3100 acoins available so that you can buy it when it appears. theres no trick to it tho, you may have to wait a long time
I got it from the shop for 3100 acoin. I don’t think it’s worth refreshing though. The implant has appeared in the shop for me twice but I only bought once.
if youre looking for the highest dps possible, yea maybe. keep in mind that this assumes youre able to target the enemy, personally i prefer mechs like Vortex and Blockhorn whose abilities cant easily be avoided
@RuFFlesGaming yeah redox rox thru walls 40m so kinda duz job but probably brick might be good to replace instead tho still 1k away from 3,795 acoins if not save for next in game currency thing... repeater 10 l ok e 800k credits now btw!
mech ability dps is easily calculable, when you include the weapon you put the full mech dps into perspective. cheetah has the highest raw ability dps, however it placed just below Gatecrasher (vs Vortex) due to the fact Gatecrasher has higher energy. in real battles, youre using both the weapon and the ability

iirc, cheetah has the highest raw ability dps. i agree, its kinda wild that it placed so low..
Handy information! I have Orion but get more out of Gatecrasher. Plus I have Bastion and Vortex in the Hanger atm. Cheers Ruffles 👍🍻🇦🇺
Orion is fun but oftentimes impractical, sadly
@TeamRed-u3b Not sure mate as I don't have it yet. You will have to ask Ruffles.
@TeamRed-u3bincreases the duration of the stasis effect. If you have both, the shield pierce implant is much better.

Viper is hard to use, the rockets miss a lot (obv bots cheat with aiming so they dont have a problem). Overdriver/Minigun are better options
Always good info from RuFFles 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

impossible to simulate, given the targets. wouldve been the exact same as Blockhorn tho

if youre looking for the fastest kill, having a Thermal Lance Brickhouse along with Orion boosting an Onyx is the best way to do that i think

yea it mostly comes down to the other stats
If I remember correctly, ability damage can’t deal back damage.
@HieuNguyenOfficial might depend on the ability. ik GC's pod cant because of how it works
