Hi Tanya, I bought one of those cardinal trees but the lights don't stay lit even with new batteries. They refunded me without return. I bought a string of separate fairy lights to put on it so I can still use it. Hopefully, the fairy lights work. Haven't used them yet. My tree was around $4.50 awhile back. They may keep the prices high for Christmas season but keep looking. You never know
