Cool video. I drive past the gas plant everyday and recognize many of the places you were. Have fished in some of those places but not as far up as you were. Great video! Well done!

What an epic solo adventure. Sam you do a great job capturing your surroundings. Little unsettling witnessing all those bear tracks and a sad state of environmental issues. Looking forward to your next video.

Excellent video, had to watch on my 65" tv instead of on my tablet. I was going for native Athabasca rainbows on my last trip into an area a bit north of here in which I scored a personal best. Got a nice bull in the main river system then big grayling after big grayling in a remote tributary. Love this area and keep on making films.

I lived for many years in northern Alberta and BC and it is for sure an undiscovered gem for the flyfisherman. Don't worry about the logging and oil activity ruining the fishing though. That acitivity has been going on in the north for about 50 years now and the fishing is as good as it ever was. The biggest problem in that area is that most people fishing there keep everything they catch, and with how hard the winters are, those rivers just can't take the pressure if people don't catch and release

I hiked all thru Glacier down the Belly river into Banff, bears, wolverines, wolves and rocks. Tough country in there but it sure has fish. We caught over 100 grayling in Glacier Park at Elizabeth Lake and the biggest I saw was maybe 16 inches long.

It's wicked seeing my home from another anglers eyes (I grew up fishing all these spots with my friends). I've been in BC for the past four years and can't wait to get back home this June! Great job with the film! If you have plans to come north of the boarder again soon i'd love to spend a few days filming and fishing with y'all. (recommend heading to Haida Gwaii or interior BC if you want something really wild and remote)

It’s always been a thing on my mind when fishing. Often times these rivers and streams that are great for trout are pretty remote. I myself don’t have to worry about grizz, but I would say never underestimate black bears for those in the Appalachian mtns.

@FLYALLSZN I don't. All I have is UA-cam, Twitter/X, and email. The question I'd like to ask is on behalf of the fly fishing organization I'm a member of. Would you be interested in being a guest speaker at one of our meetings. I replied to your comment two months ago, three weeks ago, & today. Again, if there's some way I can contact you & provide more information, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

Not sure why you would complain about the industry. The logging built your house and back country roads you were using for access. And the oil and gas is needed to run your car, make your shoes, car tires, floating fishing line and the list goes on and on. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
