Enjoyable video as always. Thanks for putting in the time and allowing us to come along on your journey! FYI - a Tackle Box is helpful for transporting and keeping fish fresh if you need to preserve a couple and don't want to worry about a speedy return to base. Helpful for keeping those prize catches fresh for mounting or an aquarium.
Thanks so much for watching! Ah, I totally forgot about the tackle box, I even researched it when I first started fishing. I'll definitely grab one of those before I head back to the lava biome for the rest of my traps.
The base is looking really great. Personally I love the brick barn much better than the wood anyway. You're very accomplished at this game and make the enormous amount of work it takes to do things look easy. You do a great job editing and I appreciate you cutting the skinning gore most of the time tremendously. I didn't realize how much work this game really is until I watched some other less competent people play. Good Job. Always very enjoyable to watch.
Thanks so much for the kind words! There's definitely a learning curve, and a TON of grinding in this game haha. Fortunately I set myself up for the grind with a ton of deep drills & the miasmic tool.
@@dannyrothko Yes indeed those were key, there is a point where the others seem to get stuck in the stone and bone age for an agonizingly long time. While you just ripped through that into electric drills and spawn suppression and were beyond it amazingly fast by comparison, even making them look bad doing endless base defense and fighting thumper spawn again and again.
I don't have the game yet but I think I'm going to want to play this and I'll need to go back to how you did that again.
That cooking spree was just mental....you are GOOD. I learn a lot.

It’s worth setting up a small fishing shack in the lava biome next to the water so you can fillet and salt the fish onsite. You can bring much more home that way. Having said that I haven’t had much need for fish since the celebrity chef mission.
That is a great idea. I'm wondering if the swamp area connected by that tunnel we scouted out might be closer though, maybe I try setting up a fishing shack out there.
Great content! I wish you could post more often. A couple thoughts on your greenhouse... If you were to use glass pillars to frame it out, they kind of make the structure Pop in a pleasing way. Also, with the release of Leika, perhaps you might put a chicken coop in the upper story of the greenhouse and have fresh eggs for your kitchen. Just some thoughts. Great stuff!

Hey Danny, you should build some half roofs off the sides of your barn, it should keep the interior wood pieces from taking damage during storms.
I thought about that, but unfortunately the half roof pieces for clay brick only come in the ramp style, and wouldn't match the roof tiles
I use the reinforced wood from bee wax production for floor and ramp options. They are lighter and 5000 hp, just as an option. Prob not good for lava biome lol.Not to mention because the pieces are lighter it's easy to carry a full shelter around for when a storm hits.
Yes I was actually thinking about trying those out for the barn. I really hope they create an interior wood version of that as well.

There could definitely be a Styx series in the future! If I go through with 100% achievements I'll need to drop down in Styx for sure.
Tackle box has 2 slots for trophy fish and they won't decay, can be moved, can be outside. Fish on wall mount won't decay either.

Salting bench will help with the spoil rate.

Would some 1/2 piece roof pieces as overhangs protect the interior wood, or would it look bad.
Unfortunately the 1/2 pieces only come in the "ramp" form and don't have the tiled roof option for the clay brick. It is doable, but it would clash with the regular roof tiles
@@dannyrothko OK - thats a pity. Overhangs seem to work quite well. The brickwork looks good though. As you say, maybe the devs will have a stronger version of the interior wood. I don't know how difficult it would be - they have the beeswax mod of the basic wood so maybe most of the code can be reused.
