About the game:

My opinion is always if the developers didn't want me to do a certain strategy, they would have made it so it wasn't possible. Standing on two angled beams ✅. Standing on a leaf ✅. Just to say I see you trying to sleep at 18:00 😂. Great episode, thanks!

Fun fact you can fight some red ants and make equipment. if you wear the three armor parts you can freely explore their home and the soldiers wont attack you. you can also bring bigger bugs to the ant hill and let them help you fight it.

Hello! Good tip: Look up and look around more. Don't be too focused on one item. When you see one item you can miss 6 others in your peripheral without even noticing. In the hedge you missed a whole room because you were too focused on the raw science and you zipped your mouse around without looking to see WHY the science is there. SOMETIMES they place raw science in front of items or places of interest where you also need to go - like a secret side quest not listed.

I second this advice. They PACKED secret rooms and resources throughout this entire yard. If you haven’t found anything cool in a bit, you are missing stuff…
Yes, I have been watching like 5 or 6 other people play And somehow all of them have the same issue lol. Everyone has tunnel vision
I've played through Grounded a couple of times. I'm really enjoying watching your first experience with it. It's fun to remember when it was new. Good stuff. I hope you continue the series!

This game is loaded with quality of life systems . I absolutely love it. I have basically completed the game.I just have to turn in the last thing , but i'm not going Because I am enjoying just building , Crafting And trying to find everything there is. I have a nice castle built.

Oh nice, I definitely want to have a treehouse castle at one point. Need to get the mushroom bricks for that stone wall look!
Thank you for another nice long episode! Here's a few more tips to keep your series strong;
~Pets are tamed by slurries, different animals like different ones. Aphids love plant slurry.
~The crow can't hurt you, he's only there to be cute and drop feathers in the yard.
~Bandages heal over time, smoothies can do a large heal. Cooked food will also give a good amount of health. The granola barely gives any food, but is an amazing heal item.
~Make sure to use different types of weapons for different bugs, the spiders are more weak to your axe than your spear.
~For mutations, you have four different loadouts, I like to have one for regular fighting, one for harvesting, and when I'm playing multiplayer, one for group fighting
~A shield will help a LOT, I'd suggest making one, if only to be used in difficult situations
~Make super sure you have a lot of support in a lot of areas when you build higher up, flying raids will absolutely wreck your base and make it come crashing down.
~When moving things around, make sure to place it every now and then, if you get hit, you stop carrying the item, and you will have to go all the way back to where you got it to do it again.

Helpful tip dont use all your bandages if you can help it they give you regen and will heal after use for a while. Cooked foods also do this as well as meals from the cooking station
You may also want to invest in a sheild they have a bigger parry window and even if you fail the parry but hold the block they eat all damage for some stamina. Just don't let the block gage brake or you'll get stunned

Tiny tip: Keep your eyes peeled at research stations for green granola bars. They heal a lot. Best healing item in the game. You passed a few up already...😅
Permanent waypoints: craft trail markers. Edit trail markers.

The axes and hammers are weapons. I used my axes as my primary weapon for half of the game
I think I want to give axes a try, they seem good. And like in your other comment, I can try using a shield with a one hander!
Ouf..waiting for the upgrade to craft ziplines will be ¾ through the game...like 10 hours later at least. Also...duplicating granola bars is wow! And everything but molars respawn. Even toenails 😊 Also, you can't repair things that are fully fine.
I've heard the upgrade applies to already crafted ziplines, so I think I'll try crafting them! Thank you for the tips, very helpful!
@@dannyrothko youre welcome 😊 And yep it does apply to already existing ziplines. It just gives you extra mobility. It is very nice to have but not necessary.

The spiderling egg sacks on the frisbee in the hedge normally have tier 2 bug parts if you break them open

You can already build zip-lines, if you get the improvement it works for all already existing zip-lines, you don't have to wait first, they are already really helpful before and you can also dismantle them later.
Maybe you haven't seen it yet, you can also play in third-person. Of course, it's a matter of taste what you prefer, I think the fights are much easier. I think with V you can change the view, but you can see in the settings of the key bindings I changed them for me so I'm not sure

@@dannyrothko I have 2 weird jobs with weird hours so I tend to not have time to play during their hours but still encourage em to just try it. One hint... stop cutting down the bottom of the grass... they don't grow back after that. I think I meantioned that on another vid but just a reminder.
You can hunt anything from the top of a thistle plant with 100 arrows. Or any structure that is tall enough. If their attack cant hit that high up, keep shooting. Also the axe is the best weapon FYI.

I like the ant armor because I can carry 14 items. And if I hang out at an Ant hill and a lady bug, etc comes by...the Ants will kill it for me. Cheese it !

You should seriously look into better armor as well. Ant armor is pretty good to start. Love the videos as usual. ❤

you can build on baseball and you base will be save from ground atacks :)
