When we reach 500 subscribers, we will donate a flock of chicks gift donation through Heifer International. A flock of chicks gift donation helps provide a family in need with a starter flock of 10 to 50 chicks, along with the training that will empower them to turn our donation into a lifetime of opportunity. Each flock of chicks:
Provides eggs and protein for nourishment
Boosts income through sales of extra eggs and offspring
Ensures security for generations through Passing on the Gift
Chickens require little space and can thrive on readily available scraps; this allows families to make money from the birds without spending much. And since a good hen can lay up to 200 eggs a year, your flock of chickens gift provides a steady source of nutrition and income.
Ingredients
20 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
3 granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
oil for deep frying
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk or half & half
Instructions
Pour oil 2 to 3-inches deep into a small sauce pan or an electric frying pan, and heat to medium high setting or 350° F.
Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Transfer the mixture into a strainer over the bowl so excess juice can drain.
Spray counter lightly with non-stick spray. Roll each of two rolls into a 6-inch circle. Brush one circle lightly with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with 2-3 tablespoons of the apple mixture, avoiding the edges. Lay the remaining circle over the apple mixture and match up the edges. Seal thoroughly by pressing the edges together several times.
Fry until deep golden brown on both sides. Place on a rack to drain. Repeat with remaining rolls.
For glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk. Brush warm fritters with glaze and serve when glaze has set. - Навчання та стиль
This is the funniest thing I’ve seen on the Internet in forever. I just wanted a apple fritter recipe. You got a thumbs up on this one.
I hope thats a compliment 😆 Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment Tim! 🙂
@@CheritheChef. Definitely a compliment. I really enjoyed your video

A few seconds in the microwave and the fritters will be warm, soft, and delicious if they’re nice to begin with. I’m going to give this ago. In the mid 80’s when I became a young 20 something I worked construction, and on the way to work everyday my breakie was 2 apple fritters and a large coffee! Now I married an Australian gal, and have been living in Australia for over the last 16 years. Sadly we don’t have apple fritters here. 😢
What a great idea; thank you for sharing!

rhodes products are the best! I love their cinnamon rolls, and ornage rolls...WOW! But now that I have seen your handwork ( bad influence you are!) I am going to start experimenting with the dinner rolls too. I think a sausage gravy with egg one maybe?

Are the apples in these fritters still kind of crisp which I like?
Yes! I like them like that too 😋 I have found using honey crisp apples works the best they hold up well and keep their crispness

Thank you!
Don't you need an enriched dough otherwise isn't it just stuffed dinner rolls. Just asking i plan to give it a try because it looks really easy
Apple fritters vary in form, from apple slices dipped in batter and fried to batters enriched with chopped apples to "stuffed dinner rolls" such as these. 😋 I hope you'll give them a try and let me know what you think! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and taking the time to comment
