There is no scrap wood. Simply smaller pieces that have not been used yet. Good looking project Sir
Yup, my granddad was a cabinet maker and even the shavings and sawdust wasn't 'scrap'. He'd use it as bedding in the chicken coops or rabbit house. Sometimes, he'd mix it with wood glue (at least I think it was glue, but it may have been something else entirely, as I was very young at the time) and compress them into bricks in a special mould he made. These would be then burned on the open fire or wood stove. This was in the early 60s.
My favourite memories were of him making me toy guns and rifles out of leftover pieces of wood. Great times.
I agree wholeheartedly.
Beautiful bowl Mayuko.
Your woodworking talent amazes me ,but your mind even more so. To be able to imagine the things you do with wood is unreal !I am awestruck every time I watch one of your creations.Good Job !
Many in the comments have alluded to the premis 'there is no such thing as scrap, just objects that have yet to find their true calling'
Very true. In this very capable pair of hands anything is possible.
Beautiful work as always
Very purdy! I like that dark wood and the contrast of the other wood. That "waste" wood was the perfect wood
Artistic pattern, looks great!
I like the contrast between the dark half and the lighter mixed half on this dish.
So beautiful. I appreciate that you left some imperfections in the wood. It gives the bowl the sense of the life of the tree the parts came from. ❤
This is one of my favorite UA-cam channels on woodturning - he inspires a lot of ideas for me.
Great use of the leftovers. Reminds me of the sky line Turing you did. Beautiful bowl.
Lovely contrast 🎉❤
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Travail magnifique
Scrap wood ? I don't think so just small beautiful pieces put together and turned and oiled very very well
Hi was that a vacuum chuck ? Also, what sort.of tool are you using for sanding
Since I create similar projects, I'm interested in their approach.
1. Do you create the design manually or with the help of a program? (I use Corel Draw, and Woodturner Pro).
2. Do you receive the cut wood ready for use or do you cut it yourself?
If you want, I can give you my email.
