I really appreciate your wholesomeness. The "boring" dad joke. The talking about the weather. The talking about what you're having for dinner. The "I hope the power doesn't go out, 'cause I wanna watch TV" And your intro with the "Howdy" on the end. Always love your videos.
I've been watching or rewatching your videos with my 4.5 year old. She loves the "saw dust clouds" and always asks me why you're painting (applying finishes). She recognizes some of the tools you use, watching me in the basement. Tonight, she was happy to see this transform into a "honey pot". Thank you Phil. ❤
Closed form maybe I think it is a beautiful bowlvas. Yes you created a new word. Love the shapes and forms you come up with. Have a great week Phil. Dan
Really enjoyed this one, Phil. Now, having said that, I don’t mean to say that I didn’t enjoy previous efforts. Love the grain and the shape. Well done, Sir. Well done.
Good evening, Phil. I love it! Glad you chose that piece to turn this time. Hollowing takes a lot of time the way it looks. I think I might be ready to give it a try. You did a great job of showing how it's done. A beautiful piece for sure. Your evening meal sounded good. Stay warm my friend.
Hey Phil. I have been turning mushrooms, twig pots, mice with leather ears and tails ( mostly craft items) and handles for tools. I'm a disabled veteran taking on hobbies. I just want to let you know that i really enjoy your videos. Trying to keep up with your passed vids keeps me busy.
This last one did turn out so very well I liked the other one you did you didn’t ruin it I liked that one too you are truly an artist at the lath Phil ❤
🙋♂️🏴 Hi Phil I think I would call it a vase, and it's my favourite piece so far, fantastic colour, grain pattern and shape. I imagine it feels brilliant when cupped in your hands. Got no idea of the wood but it's beautiful. Thanks Phil.
Love it! Another beauty!!! If the knot ever comes loose and you lose it in a future bowl turning, you can call it a knitter’s bowl. Knitters use the hole to feed the yarn through which helps to prevent the balled yarn from tangling as they knit. 😁
Beautiful work Phil, as usual! Again showing us how hard work and patience ( all the work on that crack) pays off and end up with a gorgeous piece. Thanks for sharing Phil 😊
Ooh that's a gorgeous piece Phil, I shall have a look through the comments to see if it was mulberry or not. Definitely got your mojo back with this one. 👍👏
Wow that looks so cool Phil. Before I forget at the bottom of the crack it looks like there. I can see the ears and the shape of its face. Ok now back to the piece. Speaking of the cat and the crack the crack is my favorite part. Although it all looks amazing. Way to keep the nature in a piece of ????? wood. Great job my friend, Gary
Waaaaaaouuu. So perdy, Phil! The top reminds me of vases from the 1st century (though not as tall). Trez joli. Very pretty. We have meringue-like snow cover on the branches here. Wish I could post a pic of the view I have at the moment. Winter-wonderland. Was watching ELVIS on Netflix, but paused to watch your video. Can you hear Elvis singing Oh Little Town of Bethlehem... ? I have it playing on UA-cam Elvis would be turning 89 in January. I wonder what he'd say about the world today... Have a great week, Phil. ⛸🎄☃
There are lots of images and contrasts to allow my imagination to wander and explore. I like the crack and the colors surrounding it. You never disappoint your fans. I’m sure the wood piece speaks to you about what it would like to be in the end.🎉
Thank You Phil, Thank You Ted Helvig... I like the rounded over top. I know it creates more work for you when doing the inside having to use carbide offset hollowing gouge...Like those knots... Wonderful bowl Phil and until next time... TM
Thank you very much, Tuffy, I'm glad you like it! I don't mind a rounded top like this when it's smooth. It's the ones that have irregular, jagged edges that are just about impossible to sand and they want to grab my fingers! 😃
Phil, hi. Good morning from Far North Queensland. I love this piece and can just about see an animal face in the wood! I love your videos, so thank you for the inspiration. Cheers, Carol 😊
Another very good learning experience for me Phil. I stopped the video and watched your piece on negative rake scrapers and learned even more. If only I would have enjoyed learning like this when I was in school, I might have amounted to something. Tsk tsk.
I really appreciate your wholesomeness. The "boring" dad joke. The talking about the weather. The talking about what you're having for dinner. The "I hope the power doesn't go out, 'cause I wanna watch TV" And your intro with the "Howdy" on the end. Always love your videos.
I appreciate that, Jimminy! Wow, you are really paying attention! Thank you so much! 😊

Мне нравятся ваши комментарии, спасибо, что нашли время посмотреть и прокомментировать меня. Это многое значит для меня! 😃
I knew which one you were going to pick. Thanks Phil for another Thursday night. Just a beauty. See you next week
😃
No matter which way you look at it, it's cool and unique. Nice colors and the grain is cool. Stay dry and warm Phil.
Thanks, Bryan! 😊
You never fIl to amaze me. I learn something everytime i watch one of your videos. Thanks Phil.

😃
I've been watching or rewatching your videos with my 4.5 year old. She loves the "saw dust clouds" and always asks me why you're painting (applying finishes). She recognizes some of the tools you use, watching me in the basement.
Tonight, she was happy to see this transform into a "honey pot". Thank you Phil. ❤
I love this, Christopher, thank you! 😊
Peek-a-boo i see that light. That little bowl has so much character Phil just like you!😂
Thanks, Kid! 😃
Kind of like the head of the kat on the Knott. Another great job Phil! God Bless you sir.
A lot of people saw the cat, Bob! 😃
The crack is magnificent. Lighted on a shelf would be perfect!
😃
Love all the imperfections, makes it unique. We'll done again
😃
Closed form maybe I think it is a beautiful bowlvas. Yes you created a new word. Love the shapes and forms you come up with. Have a great week Phil. Dan

😊
Oh! The lighting of the crack on the turntable?!? Woah!
Amazing work!

Really enjoyed this one, Phil. Now, having said that, I don’t mean to say that I didn’t enjoy previous efforts. Love the grain and the shape. Well done, Sir. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it, Hubert, thanks for watching! 😃
The before and after, wow.
Good eye Phil.
I love the cockeyed smile it has.
💜🙏
Thank you, Beth! 😃
The grains, the colors, but mostly that crack! A winning piece. Love how you worked that crack till it was the star of the show.
I'm so glad, thank you! 😊
A lovely, graceful form that fits the piece, very well. Congratulations.
Thank you very much! 😊
Hi Phil
Beautifull hollow form it stayed together even with that big crack great job
Thanks David and Maria

Thank you, Ray and you are welcome! 😊
Phil. One word beautiful. And I love the light in it showing the cracks
😃
Good evening, Phil.
I love it! Glad you chose that piece to turn this time. Hollowing takes a lot of time the way it looks. I think I might be ready to give it a try. You did a great job of showing how it's done. A beautiful piece for sure. Your evening meal sounded good. Stay warm my friend.
It does take some time and patience, Ray. Slow and easy, don't get too aggressive and you will be fine. Thank you! 😊
Another beauty! Love that you left the knot and the crack. Thanks for another inspiring video.
Thanks, Doug! 😊
I vote for mulberry. I've turned mulberry bowls and kitchen spoon holders that look just like that. Nice job.
😃

Busy is good, Gerard! I really appreciate the time you spend with me, thank you so much! 😊
Perfect Phil i love to turn like you with cracks and bark .. Gives the job character.
😃
Beautiful piece. I noticed that the small knot has ears at the top. So much fun
It does! Thanks, Judith! 😊
It looks like a piece you’d see in a museum. It’s absolutely stunning Phil.
Thank you, Dale, I'm glad you like it! 😊
I agree with the mulberry . Gorgeous piece , you got this one right on.
Thank you, Steve! 😃
My wife and I really enjoy watching your videos, we relax after work before diner, you never disappoint with your finished piece.👍🏻
That is awesome! Thanks to both of you, I appreciate you spending some time with me! 😊
This last one did turn out so very well I liked the other one you did you didn’t ruin it I liked that one too you are truly an artist at the lath Phil ❤
Than you kindly, Wendy! 😃
Another beautiful piece. Well done. ❤ 👍👍👍

😃
🙋♂️🏴 Hi Phil I think I would call it a vase, and it's my favourite piece so far, fantastic colour, grain pattern and shape. I imagine it feels brilliant when cupped in your hands. Got no idea of the wood but it's beautiful. Thanks Phil.
It really does feel great, John, though kind of hard to hold because it's so slippery! 😃
In Australia we call this kind of wood "Binna", binna tree but now it's wood! A very pretty piece Phil, thank you once again for sharing.
Interesting, thanks, John! 😃
From fire wood to art..excellent phil
😃
Great shape and love the contrasting colours, crack and knots, well done Phil.
All the best to you.
Regards Jim
Thank you, Jim! 😊
Beautiful. I think the shape is perfect. Thanks again for sharing with your UA-cam family
😃
Delightful! Wonderful save on the crack😊 A pleasure to watch, thank you Phil . Oh, and you chose the wood piece we wanted ... thanks for listening 😅
Good to know, Joanna! Thank you! 😃
Love it! Another beauty!!! If the knot ever comes loose and you lose it in a future bowl turning, you can call it a knitter’s bowl. Knitters use the hole to feed the yarn through which helps to prevent the balled yarn from tangling as they knit. 😁
Great idea! 😃
Wonderful Phil a true visionary! Bravo! ❤❤❤
Thank you, Marilyn! 😃
Looks like mulberry..real nice...knot side is awesome. Shap is awesome as well, love the lip..

Now all you need is a flute and a Cobra! 😁
LOL! Yup, I really need a Cobra slithering around here! 😃
Does not get better than that. Lovely piece!
😃
Ooh that's a gorgeous piece Phil, I shall have a look through the comments to see if it was mulberry or not. Definitely got your mojo back with this one. 👍👏
Haha, thank you, Jude! 😊
Wow that looks so cool Phil. Before I forget at the bottom of the crack it looks like there. I can see the ears and the shape of its face.
Ok now back to the piece. Speaking of the cat and the crack the crack is my favorite part. Although it all looks amazing.
Way to keep the nature in a piece of ????? wood.

Love me some Elvis, Red! I got to see him in concert in 1970. My very first concert and it was a doozy! 😃
Another lovely bowl, Phil. Toni and I both spotted the 🐱 at the same time. Best wishes always.
Much appreciated! 😃
Again, you have done a great job Phil. I enjoy your videos. Keep it up.

There are lots of images and contrasts to allow my imagination to wander and explore. I like the crack and the colors surrounding it. You never disappoint your fans. I’m sure the wood piece speaks to you about what it would like to be in the end.🎉
This one sure did, Betsy. Thank you! 😃
Love the piece, great demonstration on hollow form. I’ve been looking forward to my first.
They are fun to do as long as you have an even top edge. When it's not, they are a pain to sand! 😊
I know one thing for sure,I can’t pick a favorite side. If I had to choose it would have to be the crack,
A pleasure as always.😊
Good choice! Thanks, George! 😃
That is beautiful Phil. So, so nice!
😃
At 50 seconds I I knew it would be Mullberry…. Now to watch the rest of the video!
😃
Very nice Phil. Love the crack and the knot!
😃
Beautiful small holloform thanks for sharing ❤

I think it's Mulberry too. Love the contrast between hard and sapwood

Thanks, Neil! 😃

Thank you! 😃
Very interesting grain and yes the contrast with light and darker wood makes for an eye catching piece, good job Phil. 😁
Thank you, Lewis! 😃
Thank You. This bowl is beautiful.
😃
Another very good learning experience for me Phil. I stopped the video and watched your piece on negative rake scrapers and learned even more. If only I would have enjoyed learning like this when I was in school, I might have amounted to something. Tsk tsk.
Haha, I'm right there with you, John! We should play when we are young and go to school when we are old! 😃
You can call it bowl, a bean pot, a hollow form. I'll say it's a Phil Form! Well done, as always.
That works, thanks, Crystal! 😃
Another stunning piece... I love the illusion of cat ears by the crack
Cool, thanks, Victoria! 😃
A stunning piece Phil, I love it 💜
Thank you, Sarah! 😊
I've learned a lot by watching your videos. Amazing work!
Happy to hear that, Dana, thank you! 😊
Hi Phil
I also selected the same piece when you asked to select 😊 .
Very pretty wood and turning as usual .
Thanks and regards
Great minds, right? 😃
It's beautiful I would have bet good money that you have turned that piece first how could you resist all that natural beauty
You would have won, Ray! 😃
