Not really fair to compare an optioned out capable-bumper Black Diamond Sasquatch to a base Jeep. Sell the Black Diamond Bronco there at the same price as the jeep and then it's a fair comparison, and I prefer the Bronco to the Jeep every time... But this is not a fair comparison.
@USA4eva ya, for only $40k you can get a 2025 base. That's a hard pill especially when the only meaningful option is the $10k Sasquatch package. Ford is not doing themselves any favors here.
It’s so weird how ford has a hard time putting out the base model. It’s a base model so it has less features than the other trim levels, less hardware. So just by that, in theory it should be easier to make them. Personally I think it’s just a greed thing, Ford has more profit in other trim levels so that’s what they want to sell more of. Side note: it’s a shame for 2025 model year, you can’t get a two door with v6 unless you go for the “Stroppe” trim level bronco.
@ they probably don’t want to, when I bought my base 22 bronco 2 door with hard top I had to be on a waitlist for almost an entire year. They just have the option to bring in potential buyers then sell them the higher priced version.
converted from 15 years of jeep ownership to the bronco and i'm not looking back. i can go 80 down the highway (yeah that's legal close by) and not be exhausted by the time i get to my destination 5 hours later! it doesn't flex as good as my jeeps did, but it's close. but i'll take the overall comfort over the jeeps any day.
The 2024 Wrangler's steering is so much better than what you were used to. I drive 7-9 hours every summer for vacation and the 2024 did very well, no fatigue and I drive above 80 when I can. I have a lifted JK that I used to do it with and yeah it's a bear. Had a lifted JKU and it was somewhere in between. The 2024 Wrangler is also far quieter than the Bronco. I really, really wanted to love the Bronco, but I just didn't. I think my expectations were just too high.
@@pumpedupdart6859agree 💯! I’ve had many jeeps and steering on our 2024 is way better, zero issues or fatigue driving it on the highway for long trips. Recently looked at getting a Bronco to try something different just for fun, wanted to love it because I like the look of it, but the bronco just felt so much cheaper. The hardtop whistled like crazy on the highway, the driver window rattled when down a little, was waaaay louder inside than the wrangler and just felt cheaper. Bronco is cool looking but Ford definitely needs to improve the quality, if it was like this brand new, I can’t imagine what it would be like in a year or two.
@@JustinKingOffroad Yep, had an 18 also and it did as well. They have upgraded the steering box, mounts, programming etc over the years and the 2024 is a MAJOR improvement. Even the prior years with upgraded boxes and programming are much better.
I’m so happy I bought my 2024 Bronco Badlands edition over the Jeep Wrangler. I plan on adding a 7” lift and 38” tires, KC lights, stereo upgrades and engine modifications !
We have both in two door hard top configuration. The 2022 Wrangler is a base model with 3.6 engine and the Bronco is a 2023 Badlands with 2.7 engine. Like them both but the Bronco rides a lot smoother on the road, but the Jeep gets a little better gas mileage. Wife drives the Jeep and I drive the Bronco. 😎
For now, I am in the Jeep camp. Even though I am a long term Ford person (trades a 2011 Mustang GT), my 2020 Wrangler is a ton of fun. The culture around the Jeep crowd is unbelievable be it the whole duck thing, the Jeep wave or do the Jeep Invasion in Sevierville. I have done off-roading with my son and I like the looks of both. I agree with others who have posted that this is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison with the $8K premium price on the Bronco. Put that money into a Wrangler and see how they compare. Bronco culture and aftermarket is building but it is not where the Jeeps are today. I think that both are over-priced for what they are and there are some design elements that should be improved. The rear hatch on the soft top Bronco is a no-go for me. I like the top on my Wrangler much better. I have over 40K miles behind the wheel of my Wrangler and for the most part, no issues. I am not a fan of the 4 cylinder engines that are being used in either model. Great video, as always.
The down side to the big jeep following makes the jeep gatherings insane traffic 😂😂 if I had a jeep I would never go to the big events like In pigeon Forge but that’s me to each their own
Loved my three Jeeps, but my 22 Bronco 2dr Bad-SAS Lux wins hands down. Speaking of which, I see that Advanced Fiberglass Concepts lists y'all as a dealer/installer. So, who is the best person to call and talk to about buffing up my Bronco?
17:02 ive been driving a manual transmission most of my life and love it. Its kinda sad nowadays that most people dont know how to drive a vehicle with a manual because if thats the only vehicle in an emergency situation, no one can drive it.
We have owned both a Jeep and the 2023 Bronco we just traded. We traded the Jeep mainly because I am 6’4” and the Jeep is very small. We waited for the 2023 for 1 1/2 years. We modified the vehicle with a lift kit and 35” tires and wheels. We loved the vehicle but had allot of problems constantly with it. Also for the amount of money they charge this vehicle should not be as noisy on the road. It also felt like the fit and finish was cheap especially when you opened and shut the doors. It was definitely a head turned in Race Red but it was constantly broken and at the dealer so we traded it.
I always love comparisons to Jeeps because at the end of the day it'll almost always come down to the non-Jeep is the vehicle that'll be better to the trail and the Jeep will usually be better on the trail. Dude nailed it in that 90% of drive time will be a better ride when you have independent front end. It's the nature of the beast. But once you get off-road....that solid front axle makes a world of difference IMO. I personally am a very long time Toyota guy but here recently I purchased a Gladiator Mojave. Absolutely love my truck. Loved it so much that I got my daughter a fully loaded Wrangler Sahara for her 16th birthday. There's just something about a Jeep that's hard to understand until you drive one. The fun factor, the super devoted community, and the insanely large after market for them. It makes it to where almost every Jeep ends up being unique to the owner. With that said, I do like the Bronco. I've driven a handful of them and without a doubt they are great both on and off-road. My biggest complaint with them is their chunky size and the viewing angles are kinda crap. Other than that they are a nice piece of rig.
Jeep also has a 1 touch. 10,000 dollar difference is a big difference Plus jeep has 6,000 dollars off. So the jeep you were driving would cost you 39,000. 13,000 dollar difference I own a Bronco Raptor and a Jeep Wrangler rubicon diesel engine on 37 inch tires I do agree. Bronco is better machine on a daily basis. The fit and finish is nice.
Why would you want a manual transmission in a Bronco? So my kids can’t take off in the thing. I’m going to get a manual Bronco just for the good ole days.
It’s so weird how ford has a hard time putting out the base model. It’s a base model so it has less features than the other trim levels, less hardware. I've driven both the new Bronco and a '24 Wrangler. My dad used to have a '91 Bronco, what a beast! I have a '19 F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost, and a '97 TJ (best jeep ever made) with the 2.5L. Between thd new Bronco and the Jeep, I'd take the jeep. The Pentastar V6 has been around forever, parts easily available, and for the most part, it's a decent motor. Also, the after-market for jeeps is seemingly infinite. I'm jaded with the ecoboost engines. Mine has started the infamous cam-phaser rattle. The Bronco may look cooler and ride better... But a Jeep is a Jeep 👍
You should have gotten and extreme recon jeep since you were comparing to a sasquatch bronco. I love both vehicles, but come on, apples to apples would be fair.
I prefer the Wrangler. I'm a ford guy but I have 2 Wrangler and have had 2 others in the past. My 1st vehicle was an Eddie Baur Bronco II lifted on 31s, I loved it and I've owned 9 Fords since. I was so stoked when the new Bronco was released, but dealers ripped people off from the day they were released(I wasn't going to overpay) until FINALLY there were huge discounts during the summer. I went to buy a loaded 2 door Wildtrack last summer and when I drove it, it sucked. From when I shut the door and it rattled and the window acted like it was going to fall out, to the terrible ride, loud overrevving motor, twitchy steering and massive wind noise. It also had terrible driveline vibrations, the cabin felt tight and the ride wasn't very good either. I thought maybe a 4 door would solve the drive and ride issues, nope. Everything about it felt cheap and tinny. I was so disappointed. When my Wife got home she couldn't believe there wasn't a new Bronco in the driveway, because I had been drooling over them for so long. I bought a 2024 4 door Wrangler Willys. Jeep finally tightened up the steering in the 2024 Wranglers, I have the power top, so I push a button and all passengers get the glorious wind and sun, the new Uconnect and screen are awesome. I slapped on a set of 35s and spent a ton less money on what in my opinion is a much better vehicle. Just my 2 cents from a Ford lover with Wranglers side chicks.
Congrats, and when you go to the Off-Rodeo, when they ask, tell them Mitchell in Alabama sold you your Bronco . What respect he and the dealership has nationwide in the Bronco community. Loving my Badlands Bronco since delivery in 2021 from T & C Ford!!! oh thats right, u got the jeep from a chrysler dealer, sorry.
@@slypopsracing What are you crying about? I gave my opinion of the VEHICLES. You babble about the dealer. If they're so honest and well respected why is he comparing a base Wrangler to a higher end Bronco? He points out the plastic bumper on a base Jeep when most Broncos come standard with plastic bumpers. Lots of people prefer the option of saving money with plastic bumpers as an option on all Wranglers, because of the plethora of great aftermarket options. You sound bitter that you're stuck with a Bronco, that you probably overpaid for. I wanted a Bronco so bad and it broke my heart when I drove it. I'm a Ford guy that's been pushed to Chrysler products unfortunately. Wanted a 4 door muscle car, bought a ScatPack Charger, no Ford option, kickass car though, loved it much more than my Mustang Gt convertible, but the Mustangs are much better now and I'll have another at some point.
If we talk about overpaying the wranglers are also really pricey if you want any options btw I’m a Chevy guy so no steak in the game. And yes the bronco is also very pricey
Should have had a non Sasquatch equipped bronco! Would have beena much better comparison! I would have loved if all the broncos not equipped with an electronic locking differential come with a limited slip differential!! But I understand why Ford will never do that! Its all about money they make more if you add all that from the factory versus selling the base model with just the basics! Even though the wrangler has less creature comforts then the bronco of get the wrangler, it's cheaper to buy! Easier to upgrade and to can easily add a limited slip differential. On the bronco you can not do that! As for me as much as I am a Ford guy, is her the wrangler over the bronco!!! The reason is simple lower price39900 for a wrangler 4 door sport, versus 48000 for a 4door bronco big bend with just the magic options ( both includea hard top!) I do not see myself spending an extra 10000 dollars on a base model bronco when I can use that extra money and buy a wrangler at a lower price and save the money! But I know every one has to live in the lap of luxury and will have to have the nearest and most expensive toys! I do wish Ford would stop increasing the prices if there new vehicles ever year! They way I look at it give them about 5 years and a base Model bronco will be starting at 58000 and a base model f150 will be starting at 65000- 70000 and they will call that affordable!
The down side to the 2025 I have a 2022 black diamond 2 door now to have an off road 2 door it’s base with carpet 🤮or all the way to a badlands 💵 so that’s not reachable for lots of us 41k for mine all the way to 53 or so
Jeeps are played out and they all look old and cheap. Don't get me started on all the Grown Men with Little Rubber Ducks on there dash. Bronco looks like what a new redesigned modern jeep should look like. Jeeps are also not very reliable. If you want a jeep to do some serious off road save the dough and get a nice SxS. There a lot more fun offroad anyways.
