I own a Bronco raptor & it is awesome!!!!! I’ve owned 17 jeeps including the 392, but I am 100% sold on the Bronco raptor, first off it is so darn comfortable I get zero driver fatigue, on road if you get your settings stored to your liking the vehicle comes to life and handles almost sports car like on the road and off-road it’s incredible and it also tows very well, much better than my 392 since I do over landing with A teardrop trailer, Every time I get in the vehicle I am so happy I just enjoy it everything about it it’s just fun, it’s wider than the jeeps but once you get some saddle time you really don’t notice the width except on a narrow trail where you’re trying to not pinstripe, the vehicle does look good with painted fenders but I prefer the black fenders and black top since I do so much off-road backcountry travel those painted fenders would get destroyed in one day, especially the back ones they rock chip very quick, Ford nailed it, doesn’t need much modifications other than a winch and I did put mud terrain‘s with method bead grip wheels and some extra lighting. I still love jeeps I wish I could afford to have both but my pick is the Bronco raptor!!!!
I was a Jeep guy and had 4 different ones for the last 17 years. For the last few months, I'd watch the used 392 market, waiting for an XR to replace my JLUR 2.0 on 37’s. A bronco raptor showed up sort of locally at a good price. Still a little less than the 392's I’d been watching. Decided I shouldn’t automatically dismiss it and check it out. That was less than 2 weeks ago. It now sits in my driveway. It’s been a much better on road platform and the tech is much better than my old jeep. I realize it’s not a rock crawler and that’s fine by me. It does everything else and I’m ok with that!
I have a 392 and buddy has the Sasquatch and I love them both for different reasons. They both have strengths and weaknesses. I love that they both exist since yota killed the fj cruiser, the bronco fits the bill.
Yeah I just sold my 392 (it was paid off, and I didn't have to sell it), it really is only good for flooring it at stop lights to look cool for 14 year olds. Its horrible on fuel, and really not made for trail use or rock use. I'm hopping they put a hurricane engine in the wrangler, but honestly I'm thinking about a BRAPTOR. Just not sure its really worth the 100k price tag. I got my 392 for $70k, which was a deal at the time, but you can find then used with low miles for $65k now.
Will say same, have our Glady 1 ton and 392 JKU but this Raptor Bronco is the new fav. Love the new Procal tune which gave it more power but more importantly smoother shifting. In love with ours... So much FUN!!!
I followed my friends to Moab. My ecodiesel glady couldn't keep up with his stock bronco raptor on the hills and turns. I didn't get to wheel with him while down there but apparently it made everything they did look easy! I know that's relevant..... But still. Impressive unit!
The Bronco Raptor is pretty darn good on the rocks too! You can do trails in Moab rated at 4,5,6 and 7s all day long. Then jump in it and driver a 1,000 miles or 2,000 miles home in comfort. If you want to do 8s and 9s you need a buggy on 40s or bigger so I absolutely love my Bronco Raptor.

Good honest review. Yes & as he said the Bronco cannot do what the jeep can do on rocks, it was built for that. But the jeep will never do what a Bronco can do in the desert. But 90% of Bronco's & Jeeps will never come off the blacktop, & Jeep can touch the comfort of the Bronco.

I second that!!!!! Actually, this would be a smart business move by Epic. Broncos are gaining momentum in the market share. Just as well set the Kraken up for both Jeep and Bronco
I looked at the bronco when I bought my 392. Yes, on road, the bronco is more comfortable and has more techy stuff. But when it came down to it, I wanted to do rock crawling and be able to modify and make it my own. Jeep just had a lot more options available as the wrangler aftermarket is just more robust. I drive a semi truck for a living, so the rougher ride of a jeep on the road really doesn’t bother me as much as it would a lot of people. I did put in a 3.5 inch lift, psc steering, fox 2.5s, and other mods for rock crawling, but I’m pretty happy with staying with Jeep vs a bronco.
@ I don’t care if I only spent 10% of the time off road, if my off road time is extreme rock crawling, I think the jeep is a better route vs the bronco. In the end, it’s my money and I don’t feel like it’s a loss, and that’s all that matters to me. I drive my jeep about 5-6 times a year, and usually take it off roading most of those times.
They need to put that straight-6 from the RAM in the Wranglers - offer a lower interior spec model with high offroad spec underneath. Bring back the "X" model as a lower-priced off-road ready Wrangler -- preferably a 2dr.
Buyers get the option to do the Bronco Raptor Off Roadeo which is awesome. Got to run a mini Ultra 4 course at speed. Also, drove mine from Oregon to Vegas, which was a great trip.

I got my new 23’ braptor for 81, discounts from 99 msrp 4 months ago. Now you can get them for upper 70s new. This guy probably paid msrp because it was the newest model and he NEEDED g wagon painted roof and fenders
We’re lucky enough to have both jeep and bronco. The bronco is definitely more bang for your buck. Yet our jeep although not a daily driver just gives us that go to when 💩 hits the fan
People sleep on the Braptor and compare it to the Ranger Raptor which it shares the frame and the motor and that's pretty much it. Also , with the tune it makes 455hp and 535TQ. The suspension is the same as the Raptor 37/R. It's not the same small Fox shocks on the Ranger Raptor. The Ranger has 2.5's and Braptor has the same 3.1's found on the 37 and R's from 21-23. It also has bigger axles than the Raptor R. The truck is way overbuilt for most people, but its the most capable offroad vehicle ford has ever mass produced. It's not as fast as a Raptor R obviously, but its much more capable than one and jumps better than one too.
Go with the Bronco. Tighter steering, Handles way better than the Jeep, and the ride is far superior. I have both a 24 Wrangler Rubicon and the Raptor..Ditching the Wrangler...
Without a doubt the seats are more comfortable. That’s the only thing I like better than my 392. But I think the 392 (Jeep leather) seats are the worst seats ever put in a vehicle. It’s so much bigger than a Jeep. I would say it’s just different.
Yeah you gotta realllly want an suv to choose the braptor over the ranger with a tune and topper if it’s just storage you need. Don’t forget when the bronco came out the ranger wasn’t avail here yet. Makes helluva argument especially if money is a factor.
The fact that the Bronco raptor exists benefits both ford and jeep people. They now will consistently compete with one another and attempt to steal each others fan base. I agree with the factory tuning comment. I have a 3.0 eco diesel and would love to have a Jeep dealer installed tuning package to open it up as they do with ford.
I will always love Jeeps; the Bronco is simply better for most people that spend 90%+ time on pavement. Ride quality is better & Jeep could ditch the solid axle setup for starters. Might upset the curmudgeons that expect the same outdated tech, but that’s the only way to progress on daily practicality.
The fenders are pretty bad, even when painted, I have owned several fords and like their trucks very much, I chose a Rubicon JT after comparing them because the little things. the offroad handling and the usefulness of the box. The interior materials seem better on the Jeep, although I like the infotainment better on the fords. on the road the ford is going to be better as it has IFS. The low tow rating on all of the Broncos meant it was a hard no for me, don't understand why it is so low, the Jeeps, especially the JT's have useable tow ratings, this Raptor's price is much like the 392 Jeep - Ridiculous!
You know a Bronco is just a Jeep KJ Liberty , not the KK but the first gen KJ liberty . Solid rear axel IFS front , but the Liberty has a much more stout front suspension and better built all around front end than the standard Bronco ..
