As soon as the original wildcat closed, we knew what was coming! And reguardless how other people see it, I think this addition could make Hershey an S tier ranked park in North America!
One thing that I always appreciate about a theme park is if it's noticable that they're being aggressive and innovative. But also that they're knowledgeable about their weaknesses and address them in a great way. Look at what they did with the updates to Sidewinder this year. Transforming the entire front of the park to go along with a crowd-pleasing coaster in Candymonium several years back. Stepping their game up with a brand new expanded Halloween event. Now upgrading a lower tier wooden coaster to what's sure to be top 3 in the park and will help spread out crowds towards the back. Things like that are what enticed me to get a season pass for this park.
Yeah really! I have never been on Hydra, but I think that and this are the best of the revenge coasters. Phantom was fun very intense and exciting on the drop into the ravine but other than that the layout isn't as exciting. I hated the ejector on it as well I came back down in my seat way too hard.
The fact of lack of airtime isn’t that big of a deal because remember this is Hershey they have an elite insane ejector machine in skyrush. A floater in candy but even the other rides still manage to have airtime like Fahrenheit and storm runner I think this is a great fit
The lack of airtime is a big deal because if it did have ejector it would be the only ride in the park that has ejector airtime that dosent cause immense pain at the same time
I think the black/red/brown will look pretty cool. Think about how great black metal and wood furniture is. It could be a pretty sophisticated looking ride we’ve not seen before.
The shots of Gwazi at the beginning made me want to cry 😭 I was just at BGT for my first ever visit and it was the first day Gwazi was down for the whole day so I missed it
This looks like it'll be really good. I do agree with a lot of the main points you said and it was cool how you were able to form a layout from the limited information we got.
I've been planning to visit Hershey for the first time, from Canada, since 2020. For obvious reasons, it hasn't happened yet, but coming this summer! So happy my trip was delayed!! This will be my 3rd RMC - I've been on Steel Vengeance and Wicked Cyclone. I love them both and I'm sure I'll love this gem!
just how alot our expectations wasn’t made stat wise, i firmly & truly believe this will exceed our expectations after we ride. i feel like its gonna be more thrilling then what we think now.
they need to titan track hurler or just get gravity group to fix the profiling so it can turn off the trim carowinds has no room though so i could see them building a ground up rmc to fit between woodstock and afterburn maybe over to boo blasters or something but it's super tight
@@Mister_Brown Exactly! The dinosaurs alive plot could work. The biggest area is where the old rapids ride and the event stage is. That area is actually pretty large.
Honestly a ground-up similar to Zadra would be a dream come true, but I’d also love to see a ground-up hybrid dueling coaster named “Thunder Road” in honor of the original, similar to Worlds of Fun’s Titan Track coaster.
Thank you so much for the detailed breakdown of all of the ride elements!! It was very hard to get all of those from the trailer released from Hersheypark. Great job! I'm definitely excited about riding it... definitely a step up from the OG.
I'm planning to do Hersheypark next summer 2023 with my best friend after Wildcat's Revenge opens. We live in NY and never even thought about Hersheypark. Thanks to this channel I see they have a stellar collection of rides we'd like to check out. The only RMC I've ridden is Steel Vengeance, so it will be interesting to compare it to one of its little sisters. I was hoping they would install a hybrid at my homepark Great Adventure, BUT😑😑😑... if Wildcat's Revenge makes a good enough impression, we might be making more trips to Hersheypark.
wildcat was my first experience on a really rough coaster, and i had trouble falling asleep that night because i had a headache. i hadn't eaten very much so that probably added to it.
Truly excited, one of my home parks, and yes a long time coming. Rode gwazi in the spring and then wicked cyclone and twisted Timbers later in the summer and I just remember tons of lapbar pain meaning I was done after 3 to 4 rides. So maybe the lack of ejector might make this more general audience friendly which of course is their focus there.
Outlaw Run’s lap bars absolutely killed me! I’m riding Iron Gwazi on Sunday and really hope it’s not going to be a similar experience now 😬. Steel Vengeance, Iron Rattler and New Texas Giant were all comfortable rides for me, so hopefully I don’t get crushed🤞
Just replying to myself here...looks like a whole bunch of RMC's have lead cars...not entirely sure how i missed that?? I sat right behind the one on Gwazi...but i was kind of distracted by riding Gwazi.
I remember at the end of 2019 I went to Hershey Park for the first and only time and I was just about to get on Wildcat before it closed right as we got to where the line would start. Dang attendant screwed me over from getting on the ride before it was removed
I agree with you. This RMC is a good match for Hershey Park. At the end of the day they accomplished their goal of turning a rough coaster into something new and better for everyone to enjoy!
Now all we need is for RMC to convert the other 3 crap, rough, outdated and boring wooden coasters and transform them into fun, better, more exciting steel conversions
It's nice to see another RMC coming. Do you think we could get an updated Best RMC Hybrid list or a Tier List? I believe they have added a few since the last time you made a video on it.
Yep. Now all we need is RMC to convert the other 3 wooden coasters and transform them into steel revamps with the same repetitive elements on every RMC on earth
I actually enjoyed the original Wildcat. I first rode it in 2013 when I had just turned 10 and I remember riding this with my dad expecting the worst, and it turned out to be OK. I haven't been to Hershey since then but I have to say that turning Wildcat into an RMC was absolutely the right thing to do. Hersheypark needed a coaster like Wildcat's Revenge and I'm so happy they're finally doing it!
Great analysis. I am hopeful for the upgraded loading station and 3 train capacity cuz I'm sure the lines will be ridiculous this 2023. This could be a HUGE upgrade for their Dark Nights "Mayhem of Misery" section of the park if it's really open all year. (Also, what's up with them closing so early in the summer? maybe theyll quit that nonsense next year)
I think my favorite thing about this conversion is how much it DOESNT follow the original layout. The original first drop is now the dive out of the underflip, so the entire lift structure is moved back and brand new. It crosses over from where one section of ride was to entirely different sections of the original structure multiple times. This is a really creative renovation.
I could say this about every ride at Hershey. “Wish it did more”. A lot of the rides just come up short. I guess we will see how good it is this summer.
This just made HersheyPark the TOP destination for amusement parks in the Northeast. And this is coming from someone who lives 15 minutes from Great Adventure.
gadv is my hp and it has a great lineup, imo though I like hershey's lineup more even without wildcats revenge. And I already thought it was a top coaster destination
Awesome analysis! The lead cars on this coaster’s trains look amazing. I need one think this will be as good as the hyper hybrids, but it will be on the upper tier of rmcs most likely. The step up under flip “record” is highly questionable. They are fun elements, but I mean, it’s a step up under flip. The gp even don’t know what that is.
this honestly looks like one of the best RMC layouts to me. it’s got just enough airtime (my favorite sensation on a coaster) 2 zero-g rolls (my favorite inversion type) and 2 other inversions that are basically variations of a zero g roll. I also agree that I tend to prefer steep, non-vertical drops to vertical drops. I also like that it doesn’t feature any quick transition outer banked type elements. I haven’t experience a big, drawn out outerbanked element like the outerbanked camelback on Steel Vengeance (which everyone claims as one of the best, if not the best airtime element on an RMC), but the high-five element on the 2nd run of Twisted Colossus that does a quick outerbank and then twists back is super uncomfortable (almost painful) to me, and there is another quick outerbank towards the end of the ride that’s super uncomfortable as well. rapid fire outerbanked elements like that just don’t feel natural to me and are among some of my least favorite coaster elements. Wildcat’s Revenge just looks super smooth and fluid, with a good mix of airtime and inversions. as someone who lives on the West Coast, I hope to make it to Hersheypark one day to ride this and the rest of their amazing coaster lineup.
First off, this is my favorite coaster channel and I've never liked RMC's because they do TOO much. My favorite coasters are Maverick and Voyage. I don't like ejector airtime at all but I absolutely LOVE floater. I love speed and being pushed DOWN in a seat. This looks like it will be my favorite RMC because it DOESN'T do all of that extra. As of now, Lightning Rod is my favorite RMC. I rode Steel Vengeance last year and hated it.
As someone who wants HersheyPark to lean all the way in into the candy theme, I didn't expect to love the name Wildcat's Revenge but I do. It's badass and continues to pay homage to HersheyPark's first roller coaster ever. And I prefer this to anything with Iron, Steel, Twisted, etc. which is becoming overrated to me. That's just me though. The biggest pleasant surprise to me is how much more track this coaster will have. I get how though. While the original Wildcat progressed from the front towards the back with small circles in between, the RMC uses this to make multiple out-and-back sections, reaching further to the back before returning to the front and then whirling around the back again. That's genius. A very short ride duration would've been my biggest disappointment but it looks like this will be satisfactory.
What’s funny is Pennsylvania will now have 2 rides with the word revenge in their names. I think this was very smart and funny because both Phantom’s Revenge and Wildcat’s Revenge are renovated rides.
I do agree some of the less steep drops are more effective. One of my nits against Steel Vengeance is that it's got a mediocre first drop, and I've always wondered if it's the extreme angle. Maverick, it's smaller neighbor, has a much stronger first drop.
I’m excited while it may not be focused fully on airtime the 2 zero g rolls seem like they will be cool and the 1 big airtime hills seems like it will be a really good airtime moment
its actually a lot taller then I expected! Now Australia needs an RMC. Dreamworld has a lot of money and land at the moment. and I think an RMC is the only thing that will rival the DC Rivals. only thing is dreamworld are mostly only using MACK rides rn but I think the risk of using RMC would be worth it.
Looks amazing can't wait to ride it next time I visit Hersheypark! Surprised they didn't keep the original Wildcat open one more year and open this one in 2024 because maybe it's just me but it seems like Hersheypark has this trend of opening new roller coasters in presidential election years. Does anyone else notice that?
I'm also glad that finally Hersheypark has an RMC, but a little disappointed that GCI didn't do a hybrid conversion instead, but oh well it is what it is. It looks amazing though. To me I don't care what the size of it was going to be I'm just happy with what the outcome is already. It'll be fun no matter what the stats and height are.
I’m very happy my home park is getting an rmc. And honestly if you watch amusement insiders pov, you can see a lot more airtime then you expected. The over banks are actually look like they’re designed to give sideways airtime. Plus some of the inversions look like they could give off airtime as well
While HP has a top tier lineup in theory (based on the models of coasters they have), none of their coasters rank that highly for me. So I definitely anticipate this being my favorite in the park by a long shot.
Am i reading too much into the fact that Hershey completely left Skyrush off of the background renderings? You clearly see Fahrenheit, Jolly Rancher Remix, Storm Runner and Candymonium.
I rode Wildcats Revenge and I give it a 9.5/10 it is a balanced ride it not to inversion heavy or airtime heavy it’s a perfect balanced ride. I just take off half a point because on every coaster unless its Great Nor Easter which can’t get better. Every coaster has room for improvement. It feels complete it has to warm up and that’s my only complaint. The ride itself is a 10/10 but the coaster is not perfect
Not eally sure I understand why they went with three trains and load/unload rather than just two trains and a combined station. Now they pretty much have to run three trains all the time otherwise the capacity will be horrible. Agree about the multimove. I find it very strange that Steel Vengeance does not have it and yet Twisted Timbers does. Guessing it has something to do with that opening day bump which had nothing to do with the control system and everything to do with the untried braking hardware.
My home park about to get better. When I was my kids age the park was mediocre at best I’m glad that it has become a top park with one of the best coaster collections so my kids prefer our home park over the others
Instead of renaming the ride after a Hershey's candy product.....flip the script. Hershey's should launch a new candy and theme it after the new coaster. 🧠 💨
If "Wildcat" had been the park's singular/ONLY GCI, I wouldn't have honestly cared about this announcement at all, such as I never will if "Roar" at SF America got RMCed, except they only have one GCI and a titan track (not the whole thing) makeover with maybe a singular inversion and the Infinity Flyer trains would be awesome. However, in Hershey's case, they have the GCI that took them from building a few to being basically the premier wooden roller coaster manufacturer. RMC makes steel coasters, let's just be honest here, hybrids topper or whatnot. So, seeing what they have planned to an actually rough GCI (was improved when they put in the GCI MF trains but even with retracking it hasn't withstood time) when they still can boast about Lightning Racer (which these days is becoming underrated). Now we just need El Toro next (or call GCI and do Titan and an inversion, ik they can do a retracking like Heide Park did for Collosus but the intamin trains still suck), you don't have to make gigantic alterations in order to make El Toro a very good RMC. People deserve better than "speedbumps" and "band-aids" due to poor maintenence with that one. Also I want "Revenge" in it's title too, why not I mean it may be an intamin pre-fab but RMC did put it together.
As soon as the original wildcat closed, we knew what was coming! And reguardless how other people see it, I think this addition could make Hershey an S tier ranked park in North America!
I don’t think anyone is arguing that Hershey isn’t an S tier park after this announcement
You mean it wasn't already?
I think this addition rounds out their lineup so well that they could be number one on many peoples lists!

Such a good improvement, don’t understand why so many people are hating at the name

There are 3 others that CGI could convert if Hershey wishes to go that route.
@@jjh2456 Yeah, but I most definitely wouldn't want Comet to get a hybrid conversion, it's a classic.
whoa until i saw this video i didnt know it would have two loading stations thats wired
Doesnt SV have 4 inversions? I dont see how this is a record, unless its saying its tied for the record...
its tied for the record
It probably won’t stay but it would be hilarious if they kept the seal breaks
Carrowinds you next!!!
I’m very happy my home park is getting an rmc. And honestly if you watch amusement insiders pov, you can see a lot more airtime then you expected. The over banks are actually look like they’re designed to give sideways airtime. Plus some of the inversions look like they could give off airtime as well
Build a 500 ft coaster please
They trying to hide the black supports to the wood by making the screen darker haha. It better not look bad!
Hope they keep the goose brakes paying homages to the original wildcat
6:31 Is multi-move an RMC term? I thought this was called “rolling blocks.” Could be totally wrong, though.
It’s not RMC specific. Rolling blocks is synonymous. To my understanding both terms can be used interchangeably
I hate the name, but the ride looks amazing!!!
Missed opportunity for Reese's Revenge
What happened to Iron Gwazi? It’s closed indefinitely
I don't think it was that deep it doesn't show it on the website
No it's not. BGT listed the ride as temporarily closed, then they added dates today. The ride is scheduled to open on November 12
I'm just happy the name isn't Steel Wildcat, Iron Wildcat, or Twisted Wildcat lol
Do you think that this ride will better than Twisted Timbers?
Carowinds’ Hurler on line 1
I'd say this ride is a mix of Joker and Zadra. What do you think of this?
