The loop figure is of importance. You do it all the time on ice. Your spins are the advanced portions of loops. Quad roller spins are similar to ice spins in that you use three wheels: back inside spin would be the two front wheels (with your weight) and the inside rear wheel sliding. On your snow whites, you should be able to use you center wheel (with weight) and slide the rear wheel.

Your movements and balance are awesome, thanks for the video.
Probably shouldn't avoid using a protection. Ok, being a pro you're not risking to hit your joints that much, but some falls happened and asphalt is not that smooth as ice. Plastic wrist protection could save your palms from scratches.

You are fortunate to find a smooth surface basketball court. All the ones around here are rough. I wonder if they do that on purpose to keep skaters and skateboarders off. Frustrating. I also started with inline figure skating due to the lockdown. 😄 But I've never done ice figure skating before, so it's all new for me. I still learned skating backwards on one foot though and I'm currently learning the Waltz Jump. :D At the moment I can just land it with both feet. Could you may do a tutorial video on how to do the Waltz Jump on inline figure skates? This would be so nice!! I can't imagine to land it on the toe pick without falling, haha.

I only have regular inline skates, but used to do quite a few things in them. Had to do 2 foot spins not 1 foot, but discovered if I spun on one heel and the other toe at the same time I could get some speed 😁. Wish I'd have had the ones you're using!
A British ice dancer tried them) Snow Whites out and said you can adjust the middle wheel to increase/decrease your rocker, and said that helped. Worth a try?!

I got a pair of PIC skates for my birthday, and I'm getting the Jackson Premier fusion 2800 as boots! I'm really excited because I've been on-ice figure skating for about 4 years and I picked up rollerblading during quarantine (I've done rollerblading off and on since I was like 8, I'm 14), but doing jumps on a skate that didn't have a toepick was... hard. I'm hoping that I'll be able to work on my jumps and spins and MITF on my pic skates, because rink time is expensive! There's a few tennis courts near me that I think I'll be able to practice on!

It was my favourite thing ever
    I loved it so much
Then my skates didn’t fit me
    I was really sad
I got new ones but I was scared to skate because I hadn’t in like 5 years

    I then discovered ice skating
And I loved it more than rollerblading
    I could skate all day

Seeing inline hockey, I was wondering if it's possible to figure skate on inlines.
I could see inline skates over taking ice. Due to a number of factors. Cost of equipment, cost of maintenance of ice rinks over inline rinks, climate change, etc.
I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a new reality.

Inline figure skates use the Ice Figure Skates Boots
The Frame Is Rockered so the wheels aren't all at the same level but put in a way they create a sort of curve like the Blade of figure ice skates, over all that there Is the use of the Toe Stop Who work like the Spikes on the Figure blades
All that make the inline figure skates different than the Typical Fitness Rollerblades ^¢

It probably helped that you waited, they were sold out EVERYWHERE. Luckily I’ve had my Pic Skates since like 2003 so I was set 😂

probably, also probable helps that I am a TINY skate size so there's def a way lower demand for them!

Is there an indoor and outdoor type wheels?

    • @jbauth
      @jbauth  4 роки тому

no, I believe it's fine for either! they do offer different levels of wheels though

    • @riccardogusso
      @riccardogusso 4 роки тому +3

There are different wheels for different surfaces
Snow White can use a lot of different Brand wheels
But the ones produced directly by them are basically the "Champ" for inside use and the "SpeedMax" for outside.
All Is about the hardness of the wheels
As far the Number Is High more the wheels are good for outside surfaces (like concrete, Basketball Courts etc)
Lower Number is good for inside surfaces
We can Say 86A and Up are good for outside
84A and lower are good for inside.
I've used 86 and 84 Who are the Roll Line's Zero wheels hardness as example cause they're the ones somehow more in the middle
But Ye,look at that for buy your wheels.
If not a soft wheel Will worn off super hard on concrete and or Basketball Court's surfaces
And a Hard One on a Wood Surface Will be super slippery cause unable to grab the super smooth Surface.

Just a minor critique, not with the skating at all. But just for youtube it might be better to not have too long stretches of no commentary as it gets easy to sort of click off during one or two of them. I wanted to keep watching to see the rest of your journey but just for greater engagement perhaps

The English language is 1,400 years old and Americans have dumbed it down to almost a patois.
