Oh hell man..... thank you very much for the Mikio memorial. Very fitting. Very tasteful. I think HalfLifeSistah will fully enjoy another new song, Shanti Shanti Shanti. There is a proshot live video from Glastonbury of this song. I promise you, you've never heard anything quite like this one. Talk about making the world smaller and bringing people together, it does not get more obvious than Shanti Shanti Shanti. This song? About Thai food (Papaya Salad), using Thai instrumentation featuring a Thai rapper. Shanti? To give you an idea, the name on the setlist sheet for this song at Glastonbury was Ind-Metal (Indian Metal), a song about Karma and love. Babymetal is taking influences from everywhere on this album and expanding the possibilities of Metal in the process.
Haha, awesome! I have just re-watched your reaction to Rondo literally 10 minutes ago and thought „Damn, it‘s about time they do another one“. Clicked on the UA-cam recommendations and saw this. :-) The rapper is a pretty famous rapper from Thailand. Since the song is about Thai Papaya salad, they chose to collaborate with him. Hearing this for the first time, my little mind said „Ah, damn, I hate rap“, and I was prepared to dislike it. Found it meh after the first listen. Two more listens and I was hooked. Not many days later I was standing in the crowd in London, and when it started, I went nuts with the whole crowd. What a phantastic live song once again! Previews of all the songs of the upcoming album leaked a while ago, and just like you said, it‘s going to be all over the place, in a good way! They have lost nothing of their uniqueness and fun. Made me so happy to realize that! There are currently three girls on rotation filling the third spot. No announcements have been made whether one of them or anyone else is going to join permanently in the future. Since two of them are girls from current or earlier Sakura Gakuin, one of them among my favourites, I‘m not complaining.
Thanks for the Mikio memoriam.. I teared up.. BABYMETAL is doing something no other act has done before. And they are not afraid of experimenting! They simply don't give 2 fxxxs, that is what they do. And the entire fandom is passionately, loyally and dedicatedly behind them. It's really like watching our daughters (I have a daughter whose birthday is 1 week from Su's). You simply have to react to SHANTI, SHANTI, SHANTI!!
Good reaction - I like the way you played the official video in the background with the Glastonbury one in the window. It shows how great their timing is. Su and Moa were joined by Kano Fujihira (just turned 15 at the end of August) in the official video which was filmed at the performance in Yokohama, the day before they performed at Glastonbury in the UK. Kano is currently the 9th Class President (leader) of the idol group Sakura Gakuin. Su-metal was the second and Moametal was the fourth Class president before they graduated from Sakura Gakuin. The girl that danced with them at Glastonbury and Brixton was Riho Sayashi (21) who was previously a ninth generation member and a lead in the idol group Morning Musume. She also attended Actors School Hiroshima with Suzuka when they were both young kids. The third rotating girl, known as Avengers, is Momoko Okazaki (16) who appeared recently at their Taipei Super Slippa show. She graduated from Sakura Gakuin last year.
Just caught up and watched your Babymetal journey (at least what's still up on your channel). As a new fan I've been addicted to watching reactions lately haha so hopefully you do a new reaction to their latest songs! Maybe even the one that brought me into "The One" is Ratatata a collborative song with Electric Callboy. They've released 2 albums since this reaction so there's plenty of options to go through.
Much respect for the tribute to Mikio... Babymetal was a shock to this 45+ year old Metalhead's system back in 2014 and got me interested in Music again. Seeing them live is a must and the best way to appreciate the connection with fellow Kitsune's . Stay safe out there.
You are spot on: Babymetal never got pidgin holed into any kind of music other than it has to be metal related and they've been able to do any metal sub-genre they like, even added some stuff from other genres. Maybe even invented some of their own. That Mikio tribute could have used a warning honestly, I wasn't expecting it. Kind of hits hard. But thank you for doing it !
Wow. Great song!@ Glad you own the channel miss... coz grumpy crossed his arms pretty early. Body language speaks heaps. Just a fun song with ridiculous energy! Acknowledging Thai audience with the guest rapper (P-Hero), as they tend to do everywhere they go. BTW your hair is just amazing!! So kewl!... hrmm. im sure it was said... pa pa ya.. is papaya fruit.. lyrics are just so innocent
Great tribute to Mikio, nice to see that. So glad you show respect to the Band that shook the metal world and took it by storm. I was wondering if you will be attending any of their shows.
Much respect and love for that intro tribute to Mikio. Thanks for that. :) This song, however, is not BabyMetal's first delve into incorporating hip-hop/rap. The first time they did that was an early BabyMetal song called _Iine!_ (that's an upper case i, not a lower case L like some mistakenly think, so it's iine), or in Japanese hiragana いいね !, pronounced "ee neh", which tranlates to "Good, isn't it?!" (also interpreted as "So Good!"). The song and the video were released in 2012, and gained quite a lot of popularity. That's cool that you had both the official MV _and_ the Glastonbury videos for this. It makes it easier to point out the two different BabyMetal Avengers featured, with Riho at Glastonbury, and Kano in the MV. Momoko ( i.imgur.com/7lZgwcl.jpg on Su's left) is the third to be revealed. As you can see, they're really knocking it out of the park with the energy on stage. I might be wrong, but I think I get what Wolf means by not holding BabyMetal "to the same standard". It's not necessarily a lower standard. It's more like a standard that is lateral to the usual because of the different approach being taken (thus it doesn't really do it justice to use the exact same standard). That's what I took from it.
💕 ⚡ 🌸 / 🌞 Not sure how Metal Sucks could get it so wrong, but BABYMETAL announced at the first Yokohama concert on June 28th, that a dancing support role would be rotating between three new girls called "Avengers". For the second Yokohama Arena concert (seen in the official video for 'PA PA YA!!'), the new support dancer was Kano Fujihira. Kano is currently the Student Council president of Sakura Gakuin. She just turned 15 years old. Kano also performed at the second 'Legend M' concert on July 7th. That's where the official video for 'Elevator Girl!' was filmed. For the first Yokohama concert, Glastonbury Festival, O2 Academy Brixton, the first 'Legend M' concert and the Summer Sonic Festival appearances, the third performer was 21 year old Riho Sayashi. She was formerly with Hello!Project/Morning Musume. The third support dancer is 16 year old Momoko Okazaki who just made her first appearance with BABYMETAL at SUPER SLIPPA in Taiwan. She is a Sakura Gakuin graduate. Despite some misinterpretations, there is no indication that Yui will have a solo singing career. The "new dream" she is pursuing has not been specified by any official source. She is listed on her Amuse, Inc. artist page as being available for voice acting and dramatic roles. You're very right about BABYMETAL moving forward with an eclectic range of styles. The new album, 'Metal Galaxy', out October 11th, will feature guest appearances by Tak Matsumoto from B'z, Joakim Brodén of Sabaton, Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia, Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, and F.HERO, the rapper from Thailand.
A happy, vibrant summer song about a festival of papaya spicy salad. Packed in metal, but an original blend of metal. Anybody offended by this joyful music because of ideas can take a hike.
For now they use 1 of 3 support dancers, who perform on rotate system, to fill Yui's spot. In this Official MV, that you watched, 3-rd girl was Fujihira Kano, current member of Sakura Gakuin, same as Su, Yui and Moa, also she's 9-th Students Council President of SG, same as Su (she was 2-nd) & Moa (she was 4-th), so this performance was very presidential))))). Kano was 14 y/o at the moment, when they recorded this performance, but turned 15 y/o few days ago. Other 2 is Sayashi Riho, 21 y/o, ex Morning Musume, she's the one, who performs at live video from Glastonbury, witch you put because of copyright. And the 3-rd support dancers is Okazaki Momoko, 16 y/o, she's also from Sakura Gakuin, 2017 graduate.
One thing that has become pretty clear at this point. Is just how much of an outstanding vocalist Su-Metal has become. That becomes even more apparent with Shanti Shanti Shanti. Lip roll as it's sometimes referred to in Indian music. Is incredibly difficult to do especially for non-native speakers. However it is great for vocal training. Su-Metal has really impressed me lately with her vocal repertoire. As Babyametal is definitely proving to be not just a one-off here. I think the full album drops sometime in October. But really enjoyed this reaction and especially the deadication to Mikio Fujioka. :)
It's a bit more exotic even than that, the melody of the rap section is _mor lam_ , a traditional song style of the Thai/Laos area, which uses a flexible melody to follow the tones of the words in the song. F. Hero, the rapper, talked about it in an interview: "So now I understand why they chose us. It’s because we don’t rap the same way other countries do, we rap in our own way. Even I thought that this rhyme is strange, but let’s try it, it’s the rhyme that I had never done before. It’s my pride that at one point I successfully sent Thai folk song all the way to Glastonbury, played by the Japanese! (laugh)"
Morning (moo-sue-may) .. big time Japanese idol group. Musume means daughter in japanese. 1 Great thing about japanese is the vowels only have 1 sound.
I'm sure this has been covered already, but just in case you missed it... Yui's spot, at least for the near future, is being filled by Riho Sayashi, Fujihira Kano and a third as yet unnamed (as far as I know) girl on a rotating basis. The rapper is F-Hero (aka F*cking Hero) who is a famous rapper from Thailand. The song is about Thai spicy papaya salad and is meant to be an ode to summer.
This song themed Japanese Summer Festivals (Matsuri) and Music Festivals. I feel this is Latest Matsuri Metal series after MEGITSUNE. Hero is Thailander, with his Death Voices he wrapped about Making PAPAYA SALAD 🥗 in Thailand language.
Thank you so much for the Mikio Fujioka tribute.. I teared up when i saw it God bless.. RIP Fujioka-san.. Please do Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Bullying Not Good Absolutely) Live at Sonisphere 2014, UK
(Black) BABYMETAL has done a much more Nu-Metal song: "Onedari Daisakusen". You should take it for a spin... High charm-factor. Always had a *blast* when it was performed in concerts ! BABYMETAL can *really* take what could be seen as a gimmick and make it *seriously* work well !
I;d never heard of them until I caught their Glastonbury gig on BBC TV. This is from that great performance. One of the best bands that weekend. All the Glasto fest performance is on UA-cam.
BabyMetal is not a gimmick. They been rocking for years. Newer & fresher than any metal out there. Period. This is coming from a 50 yr old man who grew up listening to ac/dc & Metallica.
If ever you do another Babymetal reaction, would you consider doing 'Ijime dame zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014, UK'? You do your backgrounds on things, so I feel like you'd be able to appreciate this one.
BABYMETAL is now like an Space Ship; Exploring through the Universe of Music travelling between Black Holes and Stars across the Galaxy of Metal. Experimenting with Diverse Musical Styles like landing new Planets. But always keeping their own style of Music. ( CREDIT TO OWNER )
🤘🤘 Papaya (pawpaw) salad is very popular here where I live. There is a Friday night market in my town and there is always a huge line in front of the stall that makes the best, they also happen to make the best laksa and noodle soups as well. The Ointment I sent you is an extract of the papaya fruit as well.
Hi, baby!☺😊😃😃 Wow, that is very interesting! How does this special salad taste, as far as the flavors?!😳 And the ointment your sent us, has the word "Paw" on it! NEVER would have thought it had any correlation to this song, lol in any way😁💖✊🏾🤘🏻
I totally agree, it's all about the feeling. You really have to hear the song Mama sang by Floor Jansen, it's in Dutch but it's impressive, it makes me cry every time I hear it.
Great reaction .its so fun seeing wolf arms folded enjoying it in his own way and halflife sisteh just totally enjoying herself with a big smile. You have to go see them if they come near you on there US tour . Really loved the Mikio tribute..
It's their 3rd album, like their first you never know what to expect with the theme and sound, and they are now doing it again with some of the more "anthem" songs. More experimenting. Like you mentioned the more "hardcore" meatheads still won't accept them as metal, even though it's true, yes they aren't. They're their own sub genre. But they've also won over so many of the Metalheads who were on the fence
This video gets a like just for the memorial intro. Thank you for that! The guy in the background singing and rapping is F.HERO and he's a Thai rapper.
What BM song to react next to? Maybe *"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!"* live at Makuhari Messe in 2013 (at their iconic "Legend 1997" show): ua-cam.com/video/P9miB6jKLRw/v-deo.html
Let me start with the fact that I love what you guys do. You are fun to watch and I love that you do your research. (Also....Thank you for your tribute to Mikio. He is missed every day) That being said, that word "gimmick" is a bit of a trigger word for most of us fans. We have spent years fighting the rest of the metal community about that word. We can deal with "unique" and "different", but "gimmick" has and always will bring a negative connotation to the fandom. This is one of the strongest fanbases on the planet and we are VERY passionate. I mean NO disrespect by these comments, but I thought it should be brought to your attention...Love to you both!
Thank you so much for being so awesome!😊🌻 As Wolf asserted in the video, it was not meant in a negative way, but I can appreciate and understand the feelings of BM core fan base when that word is used. We are fans of Babymetal. No offense was intended, I assure you. 🤗💖✊🏾🤘🏻
None taken my friend. I think the issue is that people don't understand that gimmick doesn't mean bad and I guarantee those same people that use it as a negative don't even realize they like gimmicky stuff too like Kiss or Slipknot. No one has to defend what they like as we all have different tastes and needs. Those that put stuff down are probably hypocrites and don't even know it.
@@HalfLifeSistah Thank you for the lovely reply...Watching you guys and your true love for music is really great. Please keep the BABYMETAL reactions coming....We love anyone who supports our favorite girls!!! I'm not sure how deep in the "rabbit hole" you guys are, but to many of us, it's like watching our kids...We just love to see them succeed. It's been an amazing ride so far!!! ❤🦊🤘
@@WolfKain Yes. I realize what you mean and I know there are definitely gimmicky bands out there, but when BABYMETAL first came out, that was the one word the metal community used as hatred toward them. It was not a fun time. But I DO see your side as well...Keep on rockin' and keep the BABYMETAL reactions coming...BTW....We would love for you two to join our Facebook Group BABYMETAL Family...It's a small group of only the most dedicated and loving fans...There is a lot of fun times and info....Let me know and I'll make sure you get in!!!
@@Bigdogfindley that's why I used it. I think it needs to be reclaimed because as I said, those same metalheads don't even realize that the bands they like have a gimmick too. Perhaps once we point that out it will shut them up 🤷🏼♂️
YUI-METAL didn't leave by choice.. she has some unspecified illness that frankly, we have no details about (she was technically a child when it happened, which means AMUSE cannot tell us specifics without approval).. BABYMETAL were still hoping she would be able to return in the future in summer 2018 but her recovery was slower than expected.. so it was kind of on YUI to admit defeat (for now) in the recovery process and let the band move on.. hence her official statement. The current configuration has gone back to 3 girls with SU-METAL, MOA-METAL and the 3rd (YUI) slot being taken up by 3 "avengers".. who basically can fill in based on availability And thank you for acknowledging Mikio passing away.. it affected a lot of us (and no doubt the band) deeply. I was in Japan browsing guitars in Tokyo, including Mikio's signature models when he was breathing his last breaths.. we all want to do the best for his family since his passing. I bought a guitar pedal where proceeds go to his family (demonstrated by Takayoshi Ohmura (his student and kami-band member) here ua-cam.com/video/rtSEj0s_zeg/v-deo.html he plays so emotionally).. and Ohmura still plays Mikio Fujioka's guitar on tour with BABYMETAL today, for example in the solo of Gimme Chocolate which he was famous for playing. I love it every time I can see Mikio's guitar still being played. As a guitarist myself.. Mikio was a very special player.. If you want to see the Kami Band rocking out, outside of BABYMETAL then please check out this performance ua-cam.com/video/1AfZH_xdIXE/v-deo.html - this song was later named The Hill of Wisteria (based on Fujioka's name).. but showcases the classic band lineup with: BOH, Ohmura, Fujioka, Aoyama (no girls)
I heard Yui had some health issues & possibly sth that runs in her family (can't confirm that but there was sth serious in her family way back before Babymetal)
Thank you for the tribute to Kogami-sama (RIP)! Awesome! Maybe Wolfkain would like some Black Babymetal - Sis Anger - www.dailymotion.com/video/x5nx7sk Def goes down hard...
Might I recommend reacting to Words Darker Than Their Wings by Alter Bridge (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) And if you're not initially sold, it's the first time they played it live and it's with a 52PIECE ORCHESTRA
The first time I head this PA PA YA!! song I was a bit disappointed... and mainly because I don't think Babymetal need to use the rap thingie like eeeeeeeveryone else these days. I would be happier if they just had fun like they did with other songs rapping around in Onedari or Iine! ... Instead, they brought F. Hero to do the rap part - OK, fine... I still love them and I actually said to myself "Remember when you first start listening to Babymetal? There was "Catch Me If You Can", "Megitsune", "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", "Akatsuki" and not much more... remember how you said you would never listen to some rave-disco-dance-party-song like "Iine!"?" ... well, these days I absolutely love "Iine!", I love "Uki Uki Midnight" I love every song... so, this PAPAYA!! one, I already find it really appealing... and to see the reaction to it, see both Su and Moa again so confident, with wider smiles in their faces, well, it just makes me happy, they deserve everything. Of course, I was much more excited when they came up with "Shanti", I love that song. Much more than PAPAYA!!, "Shanti" even reminded me of "Acha!Cha!Karii!", by Sakura Gakuin's Mini Pati Cooking Club featuring Moa, Yui and Hana, so, slowly I became more and more excited about the coming of the new album next 11th October. That said, I'm sure PAPAYA!! is soon to become my next "Iine!"
Gimmicks are good sometimes...they bring attention to a band. If the band is good then there's no problem. When a band relies on their gimmick rather than actual talent, then there's a problem. Babymetal is a band with a gimmick that can back it up with talent. It's not something I would care to listen to on a regular basis, but they are successful for a reason. Good on them. Cheers!
Not a great fan of those Predator=esque masks the band are wearing now (they brought in Leda Cygnus to replace Mikio, but the rest of the band is the same). I prefer seeing them. But, that's really the only thing I have to complain about. They're still kicking it.
@tskwerl It's not like Leda is new to the Kami Band. He has performed with them going back to 'Legend Z' in early 2013. It makes more sense to say that they've brought in ISAO, since he had only a couple of appearances with the group starting in 2015, and didn't become a regular performer until 2018.
Absolutely hate those masks. I'm glad they're back in the 3 formation. I'm also glad they dumped the Roman cheerleader outfits. But why, for the love of all that is holy, would they hide the band behind those goofy masks?
@Wai-Sun Chia I've heard that BOH supposedly mentioned something to that effect, but not anything official. Would be great if they are only a temporary thing.
They have 3 "avengers" switching off on tour. They only complete out the 3 person choreography. They don't actually sing. I just recently saw Babymetal in Chicago and Riho (my fav of the 3) was with then.
It's kind of insulting to BABYMETAL to say that you don't hold them to the same level as other bands because it infers that BABYMETAL is sub-par, so you can't possibly have any expectations. You know that BABYMETAL has a driving principles behind what they do, right? They hope to make metal music appealing to all genres of people across all walks of life in any culture. This is why the fandom is called "The One". To achieve that they can't stick to a single metal style and force everyone to like it. It would be too difficult, and, frankly, impossible. This is why they do all genres, it's not that they can get away with it because they're nothing but a novelty act (or for some other weird reason like that), it's what they actually intend to do. For instance, for this _Pa Pa Ya_ song, they not only worked with a Thai rapper, they also worked with Thai musicians who knew Thai traditional music and asked them to help BABYMETAL write the music so as to incorporate those traditional elements. How is that for expectations? ;-) Judging by the crowd at their concerts, I think they have been quite successful at making metal music accesible to all kinds of people, not just metal elitists (and that explains why many metal elitists hate BABYMETAL, they think BABYMETAL is intruding in their metal space with their fun and happiness, how dare they have so much fun?). Not many metal bands can say there are grand-parents taking their grand-kids to their concerts. This shows they are successful at what they are trying to do, it's no accident. Also, I think that saying it's "gimmicky" is a cheap empty comment, partly because the important part is whether you enjoy it or not, but mostly because "gimmicks" are the bread and butter of so many metal bands (the usual example here is Slip Knot...). Also, don't confuse image and gimmicks. To me, I see an image they are trying to maintain through their costumes. Finally, you have to take the culture where they came from into consideration. In Japan, it's very common for bands to have set costume for their shows. Try _Aldious_ just for a quick example. Kawaii metal is new, fresh, happy and fun. So these should be your basic expectations for Kawaii metal bands. For the top bands, you can add musical quality as an expectation. BABYMETAL meets all those expectations, in spades. Sorry for rambling on, it's just my long two cents! That was a great intro, thanks for remembering Mikio. Kitsune up, Po!
Watching BABYMETAL is like getting punched in the face by three kawaii Asian girls, and you know what I'm ok with that....SEE YU in VEGAS and LOS ANGELES...…. BABYMETAL 4 LIFE.....
Thanks for the reaction, I enjoyed it. I only have one minor nit. I think using 'gimmick' has the effect of limiting your ability to see past some of the superficial aspects of BABYMETAL. Technically you are correct, and I understand you do not mean it as an insult. But 'gimmick' is a bit perjorative and gives one the image of a bunch of marketers brainstorming ways to extract dollars from consumers. Certainly as with any business they do things to make money. But I don't believe that 'gimmick' is at the heart of either BABYMETAL or their producer Key Kobayashi. Not a complaint on my part, just an observation. I do have a different Japanese metal band to suggest (I would be surprised if it hasn't been suggested before); that would be Ningen Isu. Been around for 30 years, recently getting more notice. Some have called them 'Literary Metal' and if you look into their history you will see why. Heartless Scat (ua-cam.com/video/CbI79e5iZKs/v-deo.html) is their most recent music video (and most played) and is a good place to start. The Colour Out of Space (ua-cam.com/video/1JY89ZxVqEg/v-deo.html) will give fans of a certain author a clue as to why the 'Literary Metal' label. Caterpillar (ua-cam.com/video/-vJEMwLH-kM/v-deo.html) is haunting, especially if you know the story it is inspired by. The first two videos have English subtitles you can enable.

Not sure how Metal Sucks could get it so wrong, but BABYMETAL announced at the first Yokohama concert on June 28th, that a dancing support role would be rotating between three new girls called "Avengers".
Thank you! I love this song!😁😁😁💖✊🏾🤘🏻
Hear hear!!! You preach it bro!! \v/
BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL)
US Tour starts tomorrow. Tix still available in some cities.
this song how Babymetal said " We Are Back !! ". yes , only them can do it , take any genre of music and combine it with Metal :)
Beautiful tribute to Mikio!
This song not only features tropical fruit and Thai rapper, but also a traditional melodies of Shamisen(Japanese banjo).
It's a bit more exotic even than that, the melody of the rap section is _mor lam_ , a traditional song style of the Thai/Laos area, which uses a flexible melody to follow the tones of the words in the song. F. Hero, the rapper, talked about it in an interview:
"So now I understand why they chose us. (laugh)"
Here's a link to the Thai producer of the song ("Mag") playing it:

Morning (moo-sue-may) .. big time Japanese idol group. Musume means daughter in japanese. 1 Great thing about japanese is the vowels only have 1 sound.
Mikio always smiling while shredding. What a talented band. I'll mise him live.
Great reaction and i agreed with your points.👍👍 Also love how you put on point sound effects through out the videos.😁👍
BabyMetal is not a gimmick. They been rocking for years. Newer & fresher than any metal out there. Period. This is coming from a 50 yr old man who grew up listening to ac/dc & Metallica.
IKR, saying it's a gimmick is so dismissive and lazy. Basically all the entertainment industry is a gimmick, so what? Kitsune up, Po!

Hi, baby!☺😊😃😃
Wow, that is very interesting! How does this special salad taste, as far as the flavors?!😳
And the ointment your sent us, has the word "Paw" on it! NEVER would have thought it had any correlation to this song, lol in any way😁💖✊🏾🤘🏻
@@HalfLifeSistah ok sorry, Pawpaw and Papaya aren't the same thing but they are similar. I will post more in discord about it.
I totally agree, it's all about the feeling. You really have to hear the song Mama sang by Floor Jansen, it's in Dutch but it's impressive, it makes me cry every time I hear it.
This is my favorite of the new album songs I've heard so far
Great reaction .its so fun seeing wolf arms folded enjoying it in his own way and halflife sisteh just totally enjoying herself with a big smile. You have to go see them if they come near you on there US tour . Really loved the Mikio tribute..
My Summer hit 2019 =)
Thanks for the reaction ;)
It's their 3rd album, like their first you never know what to expect with the theme and sound, and they are now doing it again with some of the more "anthem" songs. More experimenting. Like you mentioned the more "hardcore" meatheads still won't accept them as metal, even though it's true, yes they aren't. They're their own sub genre. But they've also won over so many of the Metalheads who were on the fence
Thank you for the beautiful Mikio tribute. I would love to see you react to Shanti Shanti Shanti as well which is a totally fresh sound.
Producers: so will your new song be metal or pop or rap?
Babymetal: YES!
Thank you very much for the Mikio memorial. R.I.P. Mikio Rock On bud!
In my opinion, the chorus of the song should be included in the opening of an anime serie.
I like the new songs. It is showing bm trying out different styles. Shanti is totally different.
Watching the live concerts this song makes the crowd go ballistic with the waving in the air.
So nice to see them looking happy again, see you.
This video gets a like just for the memorial intro. Thank you for that! The guy in the background singing and rapping is F.HERO and he's a Thai rapper.
I think It's time to react to Nightwish again...NIGHTWISH - Storytime (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO) you gonna love it.
Thank you so much for being so awesome!😊🌻
As Wolf asserted in the video, it was not meant in a negative way, but I can appreciate and understand the feelings of BM core fan base when that word is used.
Perhaps once we point that out it will shut them up 🤷🏼♂️
A perfect summer party song!
Thanks for the Mikio tribute. Very touching. Great reaction btw. Check Shanti next. You will be amazed.
オープニングの小神様や日本への愛をありがとう❤️
YUI-METAL didn't leave by choice.. she has some unspecified illness that frankly, we have no details about (she was technically a child when it happened, which means AMUSE cannot tell us specifics without approval).. BABYMETAL were still hoping she would be able to return in the future in summer 2018 but her recovery was slower than expected.. so it was kind of on YUI to admit defeat (for now) in the recovery process and let the band move on.. hence her official statement. The current configuration has gone back to 3 girls with SU-METAL, MOA-METAL and the 3rd (YUI) slot being taken up by 3 "avengers".. who basically can fill in based on availability
And thank you for acknowledging Mikio passing away.. it affected a lot of us (and no doubt the band) deeply.
Awesome! Maybe Wolfkain would like some Black Babymetal - Sis Anger - www.dailymotion.com/video/x5nx7sk Def goes down hard...
.
Always more BabyMetal forever! :)
Might I recommend reacting to Words Darker Than Their Wings by Alter Bridge (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) And if you're not initially sold, it's the first time they played it live and it's with a 52PIECE ORCHESTRA
poppin' cuties 😎👍
I almost cry with the Mikio memorial. May the Fox God bless you for that.
Thank you great reaction. More Babymetal please.
bruh, i just got back from this show last night, the best show i have ever seen
BABY METAL is the ultimate band. Such a mixture of beautiful music.
Hi guys , react to these songs of babymetal , headbanger, megitsune, karate 😀👍👌
子神さまぁ😭😭👍👍👍🧀🍅🍚🍼🤘🏻We are BABYMETAL 😁👍🍼🤘🏻
Did you know that the predator masks are worn to pay respect to Slipknot's 20th anniversary?
@Wai-Sun Chia I've heard that BOH supposedly mentioned something to that effect, but not anything official.
Would be great if they are only a temporary thing.
Sistah's hairstyle here reminds me a lot of Mouse from Emezie's animations. You two seem pretty cool and chill by the way.
Thank You for Mikio so much....
React to new videos of lacuna coil "layers of time" , killswich engage "the signal fire" ,JINJER "judgement and punishment" 😌👍👌
Nice video guys . I'm going to see baby metal in 2 weeks. Woot
They have 3 "avengers" switching off on tour. They only complete out the 3 person choreography. They don't actually sing. I just recently saw Babymetal in Chicago and Riho (my fav of the 3) was with then.
You both looking so metal 🤘
the rapper is from Thailand.
Your intro made me cry, miss Mikio.
That crowd looked painfully dead
for next babymetal i suggest road of resistance
The object on the background nearly resembles the Lament Configuration.
Love the intro, gimmick making bank! And awesome music!
The Rapper is Fhero He's From Thailand
actually Yui got very ill last year. and there's 4 rotation 3rd member
Hi , nice reaction!! Tommorow night at the Coca cola Roxy 🤘
@the Wolf So basically you mean Babymetal is a gimmick just like Slipknot is. That's ok.
In a way, everyone's image is their gimmick. Even the jeans-and-tshirt, working class dudes image can be a gimmick like make-up, leather and spikes.
Exactly
How is that for expectations? ;-)
Judging by the crowd at their concerts, I think they have been quite successful at making metal music accesible to all kinds of people, not just metal elitists (and that explains why many metal elitists hate BABYMETAL, they think BABYMETAL is intruding in their metal space with their fun and happiness, how dare they have so much fun?).
いつも楽しそうに聞いてるのが好き❤️

I don't listen to metal. But I have ran this video to death. I really loved you guys reaction...
😊😙💖
Can you react to Arch Echo - Immediate results? It's gonna blow your minds.
You definitely need to do No Rain No Rainbow at Hiroshima, especially since you've researched their history. It's beautiful! :)
This song was co-written by Dragonforce if you couldn't hear it.
Que estes en cielo mikio 🤘gran reaccion like y sub.
