Well I have an almost constant question between spiritual and secular also. I guess because all music is related on deep levels. Just have to pray as we go. But all that aside, Your beautiful and soulful O Come Let Us Adore Him got my attention and affection right where it belongs - on King Jesus. Thank you! Felt that!
Now I can't un-hear it lol. Might as well go all the way! Kirk used to back in the day! Remix 'Oh come Let Us Adore Him' for the trap, pass the communion juice and let's keep the praise going!
🤣😂 I'm *NOT* going to pray for you its too hilarious! That's how I felt singing Israel Houghton's *Who is like the Lord* it went into *California* by Tupac and Dre😳
If it's a Drake beat Drake sampled it.. Oh come yall ye faithful was written before any of us were born... But yes brother we will continue to pray for you 🙏🙏🙂😂
Everyone let us bow our heads.......... Lord, Jesus.....please help Kevon right now......that he finds his way back to you, but also finish what he heard. Amen! 😁
That's because things western Christianity considers secular are actually able to be spiritually positive, there are different types of music that give glory and honor to God, talking about ones own spouse or someone you have healthy affection or love for in a loving way through a song or poem (what we call now rap is what descended from near eastern poetry). Then there's Ecclesiastical/Ritual music, music sung usually in congregations as devotions directly to God, with break points ("Selah") meant to Allow the people and the leader of the worship and praise to worship God for a second before returning to the song (a "patterned break" if you will). Then there's songs about lamenting something or mourning something in life, even to near moments nihilism sometimes. (Think emo rock, sad songs in general) Then there's songs of triumph and war (what we call "lit" songs or patriotic songs; think electric pop/house mixes) Then there's songs meant to pour In wisdom (what we call now "woke"/lyrical music). The issue isn't the type of genre of songs, all song genres typically can be biblically sound and or mused by God, not simply Ecclesiastical/Ritual Music we call "Gospel/Hymnal/Church" now. Its about the process of it, what is the message, and what is the lyrical motive as well as to a degree what is being interpreted by the listener. A sad song may not be good for someone dealing with depressive moods because they need a hype song to, but for someone who is so happy and carefree to the point of gullibility, they may need to be reminded the sobering realities of live from time to time, for someone spiritually destitute trying to find God as a main focus, they should indulge in Ritual/Ecclesiastical music if they learn well through music, for someone who wants to hear music that reminds them of their commitments or good feelings of another they may want to listen to more confessions based or romantic music. This weird notion only one form of music is "holy" is a weird subconscious assumption western religious culture implanted in believers minds as an "elephant in the room" scenario whenever they hear any music but devotional, and it was out unjustly in there by the restrictions the olden Catholic church put on the masses for what they could and couldn't listen to as music, the fact artist such as bethoven and Mozart survived such eras to influence music so heavily today was more of a miracle than any Gregorian chant.
"You all are not praying for me!" What a way to start off the vid! 😂
