      I dont disagree with what you said but I really hope people remember that "prejudice" and "dislike" or "disagreement" are fundamentally different things. I.e just because someone doesn't agree with someones sexual preference it doesn't make them prejudice or anything like that it just means they disagree. We spend too much time trying to impose the idea that if you "disagree" you're a horrible person instead of just accepting that people cannot accept everyone and people cannot like everyone or agree with them. The world will never be the utopia people want.

    • @edsp666
      @edsp666 5 років тому +1

      @@greatgouda4792 thank you for your reply! And oh dont worry I know I came off as a little idealistic there- but I mean it in as much as a realistic way as possible, I am with you on that people will always disagree on things and just cause you disagree it doesnt mean youre evil. People should try their best to respect peoples opinions and decisions always. If people are against certain things because of say their religion or culture, i respect their choice- im not religious myself but freedom to religion is a human right. I think treating things with respect whether its people or animals or the world...is something weve largely been lacking as a species and something wed really benefit from. It hasnt helped us that with social media nowadays its easy to spew all the hate and evil things you like and it can turn people against good causes. And then it makes people who are genuinely disagreeing with something politely- look like assholes when they might actually have something useful to say and are open to discussion. Healthy arguing and debate is good for us- its those who turn away from understanding other's points of view, who blindly and stubbornly entrench themselves in one ideal and hate all those who arent with them who hinder our collective progress. These kinds of people will ALWAYS exist. But things will get a little better the more people learn to walk in others shoes. Understand why a liberal thinks the way they do AND why a trump supporter thinks the way they do. Or a brexiteer or remainer thinks the way they do BEYOND what your media bubble /says/ they do. Try to understand the opinions of a marginalised person of colour, a member of the lgbtq+ community, a devout christian or muslim or jew or any religion, understand an athiest, a city dweller versus farmer, someone trans.... people just need to use EMPATHY....it actually takes very little time out of your (the general 'your') day and very little effort! Like actually no effort at all. People will always disagree, but if people truly understood WHY they were disagreeing instead of blindly, ignorantly thinking theirs is the only right opinion...shit would get done. We have the word compromise for a reason but it seems to have been forgotten. But of course, that is MY opinion haha anyone and everyone is free to disagree. It doesnt have to be a utopia for people to just TRY to understand or respect each other a little more yet our world is so fucked up right now something so simple does seem like it would be a utopia... im not asking for some perfectly equal world, it would be nice in theory but im not an idiot, just that people try a little more, even a small percentage if they can to do or say something positive, that would help someone else, help the planet, understand someone elses side... small things that culminate into larger ones! Lift up instead of drag down, even if its lifting by a millimetre

    • @Liberate269
      @Liberate269 5 років тому +18

      albert fish it’s propaganda? It’s literally just the truth behind our food choices. Animals are abused, tormented, mutilated and eventually stabbed in the throat for meat/dairy/eggs. That’s not my vegan opinion, it’s just the truth. Artificial insemination, mutilating baby pigs and chickens, separating baby cows, putting pigs in tight stalls, macerating male chicks, and so much more is just standard practice, not the exception or the rare occasion.

    • @thomaskelly4790
      @thomaskelly4790 5 років тому +16

      @albert fish What is the other side? A love for animals is not killing them. Apply any label you like they are all are killed unnecessarily because we believe we have the right to their lives. When a person or domesticated animal is killed we ask "why?" not "how?" , this is because we understand loss of life is tradgic regardless of how painful or painless we perceive it to be. A dog put down, a sudden and seemingly painless death, is still deeply upsetting to most as we understand they are unique and individual . We cannot simply redirect our morals when it comes to "livestock" for sake of convince, just because eating animal products is all you have ever known.

      You don't have to do ''some positive'' thing, you have to do ''a'' thing, if you truly wish no harm on animals and want to avoid it there where you easily can. Simply going vegan. Try it for 30 day's, see how good you feel and how easy after 30 day's it is. There are vegan replacements for almost everything, its so much easier then it might seem. Vegan icecream,burgers,steaks,kfc,pizza,lasagna,pasta,rice dishes, burrito's, you name it they have it. if you are still not convinced watch ''the best speech you ever hear'' by gary yourofsky, and the docu ''dominion'' (Wich is also voiced by Phoenix and his wife/girlfriend) about the animal industry. I bet ya, if you watch both those video's on the same day, you want to at least try going vegan.
